    After thousands of comments, I get it! I pronounce "Sparse" wrong. I call a meat tenderizer a nut cracker because that's exactly what it was to me growing up. I whacked open the walnuts we would get at Christmas time with a tenderizer so I call it a nut cracker cause thats what it was to me. You can all rest assured I've seen your comments. 😋

    These are such cute ideas! Just FYI, if you mix a little powdered/confectioners sugar into the icing cups, it makes the icing thicker so the trees don’t get as droopy 😊

    Thank you! 🙏🏼 Not only did you give some amazing ideas but I love how concerned you are about people not doing something dangerous like that peppermint hack.
    I’m one of those people who’ll do it anyway, but thanks for all your tips.
    I’m going to use most if not all of them. My favorite one probably was the garland around the sparse tree. Why didn’t I think of it? 👍🏽😇

    I always love all your hacks!! I love the pictures ones (with the bags or boxes) because you could do any season with those! That could be really cheap Valentine decor or any other holiday since Dollar Tree carries seasonal bags and such! It would also be cute to do for a birthday party, to hang up during the party.

      I love the Dollar Tree gift bags! They have gorgeous floral ones that don't have any words on them. These would be perfect for framing & using anywhere, the bathroom, bedroom, a guest room, just anywhere you needed a little artwork to liven up the space.

    I loved the Noel one and the boxes and bags framed was awesome. I also do the peppermint but I just make a big circle on a pizza pan and make it a serving tray. It looks realy pretty with cookies and fudge. Banana Bread does not do well on the peppermint but you can put plastic wrap on it works great. I don’t use molds or cookie cutters but I have made smaller peppermint circles and put goodies on them, wrap with plastic wrap, add a bow and I have a gift ready for guest to take home or surprise guest stopping by. I, not Martha Stewart but I’m not the Grinch either. Lol. Also I use all Dollar Tree items Nd I ha e for many years.

    Bethany, great ideas. Since you had the space, it was smart of you to group the framed Christmas art, instead of hanging just one. Clever girl adding the wreath greenery. Another way to fill up bare spots on the tree (fake or real), is to add actual Christmas tree branches and greenery. Adds the scent, too. Tree lots typically give these away. Blessings!

    Tfs.
    Beautiful!
    The Noel design is a good concept.
    It can be subsistuted to put word designs on each quarter too.
    One year, DT carried stove covers with the words love, hope, and joy on them and I loved it!
    I think the words: love, joy hope and faith should be for Christmas.
    Normally I only find the words: hope, joy and faith around Christmas time, so will make my own and do the Noel design and put each of the four words in a quarter instead of each letter.

    I loved all of the ideas but especially the picture frame arrangment that looked like a window unit. Love it and you could use any of these frames that you used and just swap out whatever the next holiday is. They have beautiful bags for every season and holiday.

    Just had to watch this from your title - almost a year later! Watching you freehand the lettering it is obvious your are an artist. For the candy sleigh, Glue Dots - available at DT - could be used on the peppermint runners in place of hot glue - just a thought. Sorry you injured yourself, but I think the peppermint ornaments are adorable.

    So cute! Just a quick tip, if you put your decorated bag in a cup, you can slip the top over the opening of the cup to open it up then fill your bag. :)

    Love! These are so much fun! And let me compliment you on your professional attitude and dignified response to the person that shared the correct pronunciation of the word “sparse”. She was very kind herself on sharing the right way to say it without being rude or condescending and you took the constructive comment like a champ! No drama or clap back. It’s so nice to witness people just being kind to each other. Her giving you a “heads up” and you graciously learning from it. On that alone consider me a follower of your channel!

      Oh a light bulb just went off! Da, lol. Thank you! I wanted to make these cuz they would match my xmas tree perfectly. I'm wondering if the mini metal cookie cutters would also work? Idk if I could fit a candy in them though?. Hmmm. Thanks for idea!

    Bethany this is actually the first video of your I have ever watched I must admit. You came off so sweet genuine and had some amazing ideas that my girls and I are dying to try! The reason for my post is about your pinned post. I left a comment on there with more detail about how I felt about things said to you in this comment section. I just wanted you to know I am sorry that has happened to you after such a lovely video. People sadly sometimes never grow out of their Mean Girl mentalities. You have a new fan and supporter in myself and my girls. Just wanted to stop by and let you know that. Not sure if you're the kind of UA-camr who gets to read a lot of their comments, but just in case I felt it in my heart to leave this one ❤

    Love this! My fav was the Noel, although I loved them all. I have got to try that. You did such a wonderful job! Hope your thumb is feeling better. Worst thing I have had happen to me while trying to do a diy (lately), is I had to sneeze while holding a shallow tray of vase fillers from the Dollar Tree, to make a long story short, sneezed...explosion of pink debris going everywhere, sadly the bag of filler did not survive, good note, my room, including myself, looked very festive! ** bonus..mom seen it all and she laughed so hard and now can't even look at me now without giggling! lol. Glad I bought more than one bag. Anyways, just wanted to say I just love all of your DIY's, you are so creative and are an great inspiration for everyone! Hope you have a very Merry Christmas! Tfs! ~Kimberley =)

    Someone may have already mentioned this, but I think you had a hard time with the peppermint ornaments because you used plastic cookie cutters. You can't put plastic in the oven. Both the candy and the plastic will melt, and candy is definitely going to stick to it, even with spray.

    • @christened7425

      I noticed that too! I thought they must be silicone ones lol

    • @notebookluvr
      @notebookluvr 5 років тому +6

      This blows my mind that someone thought it would be ok to put plastic in the oven. I am honestly shocked that the cookie cutters weren't a melted mess. This chick has some really good videos, although i doubt most of her ideas are original because ive been watching tutorials since 2012 and have seen almost everything done before. But she makes herself seem so dumb the way she talks and the things she does! The way she pronounces things and she is not articulate whatsoever. And a lot of the comments are from other dumb sounding people. I try hard to follow the golden rule but this girl needs someone to supervise her until she grows a brain. Idk how you were able to put it so nicely but you are apparently a lot nicer than i am. It's hard to watch or listen to her.

    • @micheleherrneckar739

      I believe they were silicon

    • @notebookluvr
      @notebookluvr 5 років тому +7

      They aren't silicone. They are plastic. I have seen them before. If they were silicone, the candy would not stick to them and how would you cut through cookie dough with them? They are COOKIE CUTTERS. That means you are supposed to use them to press into rolled dough and make shaped cookies with them. Silicone is too soft for that.

    She probably used the meat tenderizer for cracking nuts, so thats why she refers to it as the nutcracker. When we were children we did the same thing, to our mothers consternation. Lol.😃
