She says they can go to prom but cannot get married(not that he asked). That passage is King Henry speaking to a man who was blind but can now see. He reminds the man to thank God daily for giving him sight. She is basically telling him to appreciate her daughter for who she is, as by taking an interest in Lane he has seen the light.
