The price of the T casual is going up! It was only 10.35€, so this year it will be 12.15€, still a great bargain. Thanks for posting!

Your videos about Barcelona were extremely useful on my 4 days trip to the city 15 days ago. I brought the T-Usual and work wonderful. Only used public transportation's to visit all of the attractions the i could see.
The city is incredible.
The tip how to get off the airport to Metro was great to. I do it by Terminal 1.
Me and my wife save money with T-Usual and was very convenient.

Allo !! Yes You can. When you arrive at the entrance of the metro station You have several machines who sell tickets. Select the T usual as explained by Tony. Don´t forget to put the number of Your identity card as asked by the machine screen when the buying process.

I'm in Barcelona right now. Wanted to take the metro but didn't know exactly how with the new changes. Watched your video, walked out of my hotel about 100 meters and went into the metro station, bought the card I needed as you showed us and got into the train I needed to get to my dinner destination. Your videos are so helpful! I traveled from the Barcelona airport to my hotel so easily and inexpensively with a T casual ticket using the train from Barcelona Airport terminal 2 to Passeig Gracia. I transferred to Metro, in the same station and took Metro to the Liceu station on Las Ramblas. Just a block or so to my hotel. Cost was 1.13€. Gracias!

@@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal so based ont this comment, from T2 BCN I can use T-Mobilitat+T-Casual to take R2N Train to Barcelona Sants (and continue with metro). I can buy it on ticket machine at T2 train station like before, just different display etc. Correct me if I am wrong. Gracias. :)

Hi! T-mobilitat cards can't be used on the metro line, that travels to the airport - L9 Sud, but otherwise they CAN be used on other public transport to the airport such as bus (46, N17, N16) and train (R2N).
And card T-usual (that can be bought only with an ID number) can be used even on that metro line L9 Sud.

@@paul.anthony It really depends on where your accommodation in the city is (and on which terminal you arrive, during the day or is it a night flight). Train R2 Nord stops on Barcelona-Sants (the main train station) and other central city stop is Passeig de Gracia.

Thanks for the amazing video! I have one question! I didnt quite understand only one thing! My family and I are travelling to Barcelona in March and my question is about T-familiar card! We have 8 trips with this card, does each validation at the same metro(for example) reduce the numbers left or they are counted as one trip as long as we are checking it at the same metro?
Hello, Kaloyan, every time a validation is made, a ticket is discounted from the total credit.

Hi, you don't need an internet connection, just key in your document's numbers in the machine. At the beginning of February we will publish an updated video on how to leave the airport where we will show how to buy the T-usual card. All the best!

Thanks Maximiliano. You are correct, you will get the old paper ticket. We assume it will eventually be incorporated into the T-mobilitat format, but we don't know when. The whole thing is quite confusing, we've tried to make some sense out of it.

You mentioned that the T-Usual card must have a passport or ID card number on it. Is this stated during the purchase process at the ticketing machine or is it written on the card with a pen after purchase?

Hi Antara, you can only use the t-familiar on the local bus from the airport, not the Express bus (see all the details here: ua-cam.com/video/YFJG4bZYxU4/v-deo.html ). You will have to buy the t-familiar at the train station ticket machines at T2. Bus and metro will count as one trip, yes.

I am visting Barcelona in April whith my family (3 persons) and we will be staying in Cabrera De Mar (Zone 2 for public transport). We will arrive to Barcelona via plane to BCN Airport. After seeing your video, we will take the train to Barcelona Sants and then change to R1 train line to Cabrera De Mar. Is this journey possible whith one 2 zones ticket (we will use T-Familiar, so 3 tickets) or does this count as two separate journeys? Thank you so much for all you videos, Martin from Czech Republic
Hi Martin, Cabrera de Mar is in zone 3 - which makes your trips to Barcelona more expensive. If you buy a T-familiar valid for 3 zones you'll be able to use it on the train to Cabrera de Mar. The entire journey will discount one trip per person from your T-familiar card. All the best to the Czech Republic!

We will be arriving in Barcelona in April by cruise ship. We will be staying at the Barcelo Sants Hotel for four nights. We plan to take a taxi from the cruise port to our hotel. Since we have visited Barcelona on two previous occasions we thought we would visit some surrounding sites with day trips to Girona, Sitges and possibly Montserrat. On the fourth day we will be going to the airport for our flight back home to Toronto. What would be your recommendation for public transportation for our stay in Barcelona? We love your vlogs. They are very informative and interesting. Thank you.
Hi Steven, if you are going to spend most of your time in Barcelona in day trips, you won't be using much the local transport (only to get to the stations in and out of your day trips). Probably one or several T-casual cards are the best choice for you.

Thank you very much. We are staying at Casa Gracia and tomorrow we have a flight. Google map shows we should get in L3 and then at PL. Espanya we get A1 bus. We have T-Familar card, so if we choose this option, will we use 2 credit total? ( we are two people by the way:)

Hi Andaç, Google Maps is terrible pointing the way out of the airport. Your best option is to take the metro to Collblanc, where you will change to line blue and travel to Diagonal, near your hotel. In theory, you could reload a mobile T-mobilitat with your iOS, but makes no sense, you won't be able to use it.

Tony, We will visiting for several days in advance of a cruise. I see that TMB site still offers the Hola Barcelona card. Which would get us from the airport to the hotel and then all our trips around BCN. Currently is offering a 10% discount if purchased on-line. Seems like this might be our best option, if is still a valid option. Or would we better off purchasing the Barcelona Card Modernista as we do plan to visit several of those sites? Assuming these are still valid options. HELP! Much thanks in advance.

To get you out of the airport by metro and then around Barcelona, either the Hola Barcelona Card or the T-usual.

Renfe is for Renfe trains. T-mobilitat is for local transport in Barcelona. We use both.

Very helpful. But I am still confused with the T-Familiar card. We are a family of 6 people. Given the T-Familiar card is for 8 trips, does it mean, for our first use, my family would use up 6 of the available 8 trips already?
That's correct, the T-familiar is not the best choice for a large family group, depending on the length of your stay in Barcelona, you might be better off with a t-grup.

Hello. I am going to travel to LA roca village from the el prat Airport. Wanted to know which travel mode will be best and which zone it falls under? Zone 2 or zone 3. Will appreciate your help.
Hi, we are not familiar with that route, but believe you will need a ticket valid for 3 zones to get to the outlet retail. Take the airport train to Granollers Centre and then bus L51 to La Roca Village.

As the Hola Barcelona Card hasn't been incorporated yet into the T-mobilitat system, it continues to work the same way as before.

How much should I charge onto the T-Familiar card for 2 of us ? , using airport transfer and city metro and bus for 3 round trips for sights furthest is Parc Guell from Gothic Quarter ( for 2 of us) ( one for each day we are visiting )
Didn't understand your question. You don't charge anything on a T-familiar card, it is a self-contained ticket valid for 8 trips.

Santa Susanna is miles away from Barcelona (zone 5). Buy one specific ticket to go from Santa Susanna to Barcelona, and a different one to move around Barcelona.

You will tap it as many times as people are traveling with you, every time you board a new transport.

Hi Sergiu, makes no sense to spend money on a ticket valid for 4 zones you will only use to go to Montserrat. Buy a return train ticket for that specific trip. One metro ticket and one train ticket.

If you transfer directly from the metro to the funicular (ie, don't go through the exit barriers at the station) you will only use one ticket. There is direct access from the metro to the funicular.
