Hi, I'm 2 years post Surgery, had Heller Myotomy on 24 April 2019, you can also watch my videos of 6th months and 1 year Update and this one is 2 years post operation.
I'm doing absolutely normal like without Achalasia Cardia, although i had forgotten the feeling of normal swallow, but got the feeling back again after having surgery. 2 years have been passed away like those 6 and 12 months was passed happily. No Acidity, No Pain, No Regurgitation, Nothing Bad Yet, Life is going well.
The age of the success of my Surgery is now only 2 year and is going on but many people are there who have a big success, and I will also try to share their experience with you here. I will try to contact people whose surgery worked for 15 to 30 years and will share their update with you.
Because behind a big success, there is not only surgeon's role is important but patient's too. This is true that most important role played by surgeon, no doubt, but a patient can ruined the success by their carelessness. So we should care, what should we do and what shouldn't, what should we eat and what shouldn't, Many questions are there which are necessary to discuss regarding post surgery, and I'll share my experience soon.
The long lasting surgery i have ever seen was just 15 to 20 years. But recently someone commented on our channel that his surgery worked 28 years, this was a surprise but not unbelievable, i always said that if surgery can work for 20 years so it will also work for 30 years too.

I was considering to opt for PerOral Endoscopic Myotomy ( POEM ) first but had surgery Heller Myotomy ( HM ) in April 2019 and still going So Awesome.

Aapka interest dekhke bahut achha lagta h.meri HM feb 2019 m hui thi 2 sal se jyada ho gaye h par reflux bhi h thoda par main problem h ki jyada tight khana jaise sukhi sabji ke sath ya samosa kachori etc khane se bina pani possible nahi ho pata.kya karu.baki khana sabji jyada lo ya dahi vagera lo aur semi solid m to dikkat kam aata h.aapka kya kahna h isme jarur advice karna.

Aaj kal POEM mein bhi fundoplication karate hai, aap ke time nahi thi kya ye process POEM mein ?
Agar hoti to kya aap POEM (with fundoplication) choose karate ?
Currently theek chal raha hai.
Obviously slowly reduce hoti hi hai quality.
No acidity.
Mere time par thi lekin koi experienced doctor nahi mila mujhe, agar highly experienced koi milta tab hi karata aur tab hi karaunga in future agar mind bana to.

Kyu ki mai abhi 6/7 ayurvedic try kar chuka hu. Abhi finally haridwaar jane ki soch rahaa hu operation ka decision lene se pahale.
POEM mein LES ke upper 2/3 cm pahale hi cut lagate hai, aur waha se surang bana ke LES ke thode niche tak pahuchate hai uske musles break karane ke liye. Heller myotomy ke baare mein itana detail descritption nahi mil rahaa hai. Matlab esophagus mein exactly kaha pe cut karana shuru karate hai ?

How long after the surgery can I play soccer again, and hoe ling did it take you to heal before you ate solids again?
For outdoor games it will take a month for a complete recovery.
How do we know achalasia is back and what is the solution for it,re surgery?
The moment you start feeling problem in swallowing again, it means Achalasia is coming back, and surgery is the only solution always, whether at some condition doctor can recommends dilation.

My wife is also performed with laparoscopic Heller myotomy surgery. Does it is best for sigmoid achalasia cardia.
Heller myotomy is just a process of relaxing LES by opening it laparoscopically. I hope she would be enjoying swallowing food now.

Why is it not permanent? For how many years would it last? Do u think it will come back?
Yes it will, because there is no permanent treatment of this disease in the entire world yet.
The reason behind reoccurring is the growing of scar tissues and the LES area unknowingly. Research is still going on.

@@apekshasatpute1347 this is a slow process, it takes years to come back again, a surgery can give you releif for years, around 5 to 25 years, depends on the experience of the surgeon and the condition of the patient or patient's esophagous.
