Nah- they had a lucky season last year. They didn’t look dominant at all in the games. The balled rolled their way a few times which helped pad the win total

West Virginia would have won a national title by now if it wasn't for Oliver luck and getting rid of Rich rod or pissing him off. Then after Oliver luck we ended up with Gordon gee out of Ohio which was worse glad he's about to go. Leadership at WVU keeps getting dumber and dumber.

Nothing would stop NC State and UNC from playing every year even if they go to different conferences. Iowa and Iowa State have played annually for the last 46 years as one of the biggest rivalries in college football and haven't been in the same conference since 1911.

BYU wins a stone cold sober award by some magazine every year, and we all celebrate by drinking chocolate milk. Super proud of being 16th best party school in the B12! Although I will say that when you learn how to party without alcohol it can actually be super fun.
As a K-State fan, I've never seen the appeal of alcohol (it tastes so bad I can't get it down). To me, what a good party needs is plenty of chips and dip, ice cream, cake, soft drinks, those silly cone-shaped cardboard hats, and some party poppers.

When I attended Kansas State in the late 1990’s and graduated in 2001, the party scene was legendary status. It’s has absolutely chilled since then to a pathetic level. I attended the win vs. Texas that gave us the Big 12 crown in 2012 and when I went to the Aggieville, there wasn’t even a line to get a beer - sad. Fans just don’t come out anymore.
ISU drinks Kansas City out of Busch Light every year @ Big 12 tournament, when Cy- town is complete we will show you that we don't take a backseat to anyone in partying. Lol
Rock Chalk Jayhawk. We have a clear path to the playoff and frankly I am just happy to be involved in preseason football. Even in 07 were a surprise so never have we got to experience this type of hype. Arrow head would make for a great playoff game venue. Home of the 2 time defending Super Bowl champs and the Jayhawks
I am not surprised with BYU being overlooked. Lots of unknowns there right now. But BYU being overlooked is not a problem-- they typically thrive in an underdog situation.
Iowa State’s commercial district(campus town) is unusually small & dense for a school of its size since it’s penned-in on all sides by campus, churches and homes people won’t sell to developers so, the social scene always seemed to tilt towards the house parties. I remember living there in the mid-‘90s and being “invited” to a party where about 3 adjacent house had 60 kegs on reserve. I didn’t end up going but, recall seeing the video of the police arriving on the news. Tear gas, cars being flipped over and masses of drunk kids plowing over neighbor’s fences to get away-lol. That was during VEISHEA, which seems to have been cancelled after nearly annual riots and frat boys being stabbed. During VEISHEA’s heydays, the population of Ames would balloon to 150,000-200,000 as each student invited a carload of friends to come visit for a week and basically drink a minimum of a 12-pack each-every day. Ames seems a bit quieter these days.
I think both WVU and UCF finish in front of Texas Tech. I think Tech is again going to be marginally average like last season.
I think the Big12 has a ton of teams grouped really close together. FPI to me has the 5 tier-1 teams correct and they all 5 could finish in any order.
After that the 2nd tier would be TT TCU WVU UCF CU & ISU.
I'm fairly sure that Utah will not find the Big12 as very friendly to them this season. 4th or 5th amongst expansion Big12 I think.
I agree there is a reason why no one wanted to pay for the pac-12 it's because the football wasn't very good. Same with the ACC if they lose FSU and Clemson. The ACC will be worthless.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the win it all. I also wouldn’t be surprised if they end up 5th or even 6th. No one knows until the games are played. The one thing you don’t want in the big12 is to be predicted to win it. It NEVER happens.

On this Day June 10 1963 Governor Bryant signed Senate Bill No 125 creating Florida Technological University FTU to serve the growing Space Industry in the state of Florida. The school now known as UCF first opened i Oct 1968. Friday June 14 1970 was the first graduating class of about 422. The Citronaut was FTU First Mascot. The student body did not like an Orange with the head of an astronaut on it. Vincent the Vulture was a contender (because of all the Vultures flying around the woods in the largely unpopulated area) but in 1970 Knights of the Pegasus won and became the mascot of the first Athletic programs. The Cironaut name was dormant until the Baseball program developed some throwback uniforms in 2014 and had some special games with that name.

Oklahoma states QB is garbage and they don't have a good defense they only have a run game not gonna work again. Utah cam rising can't stay upright without crutches on standby, and kansas has the same problem as utah and osu there qb can't stay healthy and there defense isn't very good as for Baylor yes they are trash
Duke is UNC's biggest rival in Basketball.. neither school cares about football!! NCST Fball has a more wins in the last 7 years than any Big 12 teams except OKST and a couple of the newcomers.. Baseball made our to the Supers and one win away from the CWS.. and would be bringing a top 10 Wrestling team!! I think NCST would be very competitive!!!

I am not going to guess who will win the BigXII, because I truly think the conference is wide open which I think will make BigXII Conference must-see TV. If Utah finishes 5th, SLC will melt down after all their "dominate" off-season talk... I could see arguments for and against Kansas, Kansas St, Utah, Oklahoma St, Texas Tech, Arizona, & West Virginia (7 Teams).

No way would I put my money on KU. I think the odds are based on Jalon Daniels being health. If he stays healthy then yes KU is the best team in the Big 12. Heck if Jalon Daniels stays healthy they might win the Big 12 last year. So KU without Jalon is a 8 to 9 win team. KU with Jalon will win the Big 12. To say otherwise means you have zero clue.
