The only prizes for the power to would-be Clemson, FSU and Notre Dame. If Oregon and Washington had to beg and give up concessions to get in, I don’t think anybody else has any chance. The ACC might well stay together at that point or have some of the better schools go to the big 12, it would all depend on the money at the time.

My dad once said that all things will eventually circle around on itself and be somewhat as it was before greed reared its ugly head. I don’t know how or when but greed will eventually feed on itself or fans will stop caring and not watch anymore. With traditional rivalries gone and artificial ones created some people will not want to care, I am to that point.

Look at Notre Dame. If we did not bend over backward like the ACC need to get Notre Dame one foot in, why would we do similar for UNC?

Why would the B1G want a small private school located in the southern most state of the Continental United States at the end of a 400 mile long peninsula who doesn’t even have an on campus stadium. Add to that the football team has only been barely decent for the last 20 years, the stadium is usually half empty on game day, and the average day time temperature is close to 90 degrees in September and October. And on top of those concerns, the TV ratings have been poor for many years which makes me question just how much Fox is really interested in the Hurricanes. Miami will be lucky to get an invite to the Big 12 and if that doesn’t happen, they could end up in Conference USA playing FIU and Jacksonville State. The flight time from Miami to Seattle is longer than the flight time from Boston to Dublin Ireland across the Atlantic Ocean. Just saying.

With all the views you are now getting, you are going to have to change your handle to "Manic Ginger." Congratulations on your rise to big time numbers.
The only thing I know about this issue is that the SEC wants North Carolina down the road because there are four top 50 media markets in the state, and the prior commissioner to Greg Sankey talked about Virginia many years ago, because of two large media markets there with DC and the Tidewater (Norfolk/Portsmouth/Newport News) area. And, the Richmond market has grown quite a bit.
Commissioner Sankey talked about this at the meetings in Nashville last year, saying that the SEC wants to stay at 16 in the near future but would revisit this issue if it was forced to be done sooner than they would like. He has talked about not cannibalizing markets, so Clemson and Florida State figure to not be on the SEC's radar (and there are probably enough school presidents to blackball both schools. North Carolina and Virginia would be the most likely 17 and 18 for the SEC.

Clemson and FSU reportedly are favorites to join the B1G. The SEC doesn't seem to want to add more teams from Florida and South Carolina is the rumor. They were fine with it when it came to a brand like Texas while already having A&M.
Stanford and Cal to the B1G make no sense at this point. They could've already taken both schools at a very reduced rate but opted not to. Why would they do that now. Cal especially is just a deadweight program. That team likely would end up in the MWC or re-imagined PAC which is MWC 2.0. Stanford could get into the B1G if ND joins the B1G and wants it. Again, the bay area is big, but nobody cares about Stanford athletics. If the B1G are trying to add teams in the west then Utah makes sense. Louisville seems destined to the B12. UNC and Virginia, to the SEC is also a rumor floating out there.

The SEC wants to expand it's footprint. They are all over getting UNC. You have to think about adding value. UNC is their number one target. Even all the SEC reporters like Finebaum have said that.

Finebaum says a lot of stuff ... The SEC values football championships ... Only FSU and Clemson have won or even chased Football championships in the ACC in the past 30 years ... UNC will get a offer from the SEC only after FSU turns the SEC down and Clemson needs a partner

@@ddcs0s Nope. CLEMSON and FSU are disposable to the SEC. Both UVA and UNC bring far more synergies to the SEC and have higher football ceilings in a closed ~48-team Tier 1 in the SEC.
