I agree re 3:2 -v- 16:9 the latter is better, well done on 2000+ subscribers, and well done for making this video give us the understanding to pause for thought before shooting!
Good idea to use these flowers. Personally I would have gone for a 1x1 or portrait shot with only that nice central tree in it. Question of taste probably. I see you're enjoying the musquitos also 😅 grt guido
Very interesting, something I'm definitely going to think about here on my local Heathland of Cannock chase regarding the heather. Thanks again, and a damn fine effort on reaching 2000 subs.
Congrats on the 2k. I liked the demo of the height differences that's something I've struggled with when shooting meadow flowers, it's a surprisingly narrow margin that works. The aspect ratio is not something I ever set in-camera, I just imagine it in my head. I always know the approximate ratio when I shoot but don't bother setting it in the viewfinder. Maybe because I'm from a 6x6 film background and you had to imagine landscape or portrait crops as needed and I just find that comes naturally.
Thank you, most kind on both counts! :) You are right that there is a fine margin between being too high or too low to get the desired effect. Have to be honest that I use the in camera frame ratios a lot because it forced me to be thorough in the field. That said, I know that the RAW file still allows for some further adjustment, but only to a point.

Thank you, and thank you. It has been a long slog, but it is great to get to that 2K milestone. Good luck on your local patch.
Woohoo! How had I missed that this existed?! Reminds me I should get a new camera...
Hey Darren. Hope you are doing good buddy. Great to have you aboard! :)
Succinct demonstration of aspect ratio and camera angle in landscape photography.Thank you!
Thank you. You are most kind.
I love your channel, congrats
Thank you, that is very kind of you.
