As a member of Kurt’s channel, I heartily encourage viewers to join. Kurt has not only informative videos but his replays are excellent. This particular series of videos will be a must watch for anyone who plays Strat or is interested in baseball sims in general. As always, Kurt, good job!
Strat in my opinion is the best for overall performance and entertainment value without any doubt, Ive been playing different Baseball games for 48yrs and have not found anything that measures up to its enjoyment level. There is no game made where accuracy is perfectly distributed. Take Care my Northern Neighbor
I think the statement that any game has perfectly distributed accuracy is tough to prove. For example, in Strat's 50/50 system, a batter may accumulate more triples than they should because there is a triple result on the pitcher card.
@@justinludwig726 I said, There is no game made where accuracy is perfectly distributed. Every game engine has flaws, I was talking about the entertainment and enjoyment level of the game, Unpredictable outcomes that intrigue you to play another game.
Kurt (or anyone else) I had 1960 Vernon Law (Pirates) batting and hitting 2 home runs in one game off Pitchers card (1-3) basic game This wouldn’t happen in a million years Any. Suggestions as to handle this when the pitcher is batting?
Maybe it's paralysis by analysis, but as I'm getting ready for a d&c league draft and I'm not sure what would be the "this card is better than this card" numbers to look at two cards.
Hi Kurt, do have any videos that show newbies to Stratomatic Baseball, what much of the cards mean from X to *** to everything else that is on Strat cards.
I always wondered when people say things about how cards differ. I always figured the cards were setup to reflect their stats. I have only played PC strat, and never look at the cards really, just what their stats were. But maybe I am missing out on something?
Why is a reading of say DOUBLE 1-13 SINGLE 14-20 a sub chance if no matter what that chance is it a 100% positive outcome??? I would think that is still a straight chance. But say a reading of DOUBLE 1-13 line out (3b) 14-20 would be a sub chance due to the fact there is a % chance of a negative outcome and that being the line out to 3B?? Great videos by the way,i really do enjoy them.Always fun to go under the hood and see what exactly you are driving in!!!!
I'd highly recommend looking into Mike Fitzgerald's Baseball Highlights 2045. It's an exceptional 2 player baseball themed board game taking place in the near future, where baseball began to go into decline popularity wise but was resurrected by adding in cybernetic enhancements to some players as well as bringing in new batting robots to match the cyborgs. The game is excellent, and follows two players taking place in a best of 7 world series. During each mini-game of baseball, both players alternate playing from a hand of six cards which serve as both offense and defense simultaneously. It's super fun and the spring training edition of the game features a reduced price point and enough content to engage in some excellent two player battles on the field. It's awesome! I'd love to see a video of you showing the game off. You might very much enjoy all of the references to famous players, as the natural players without cybernetic enhancements have taken on the monikers of old famous players by putting first and last names of different players as their own names to call back to the old gods of baseball. www.eaglegames.net/Baseball-Highlights-2045-Spring-Training-p/102118.htm
It also has an exceptional solo mode by the way, very engaging stuff to be honest. Just make sure you do three buy rounds before heading into a world series with the AI! They can be brutal if you haven't sufficiently upgraded some players beforehand.

Any. Suggestions as to handle this when the pitcher is batting?
Well, he hit 11 home runs in just under 900 at bats in his career. I wouldn’t change anything-I see no reason why he couldn’t hit two in a game.
Great video Kurt, very intrigued by this topic and have certainly wondered about this as well. You create great content my friend⚾🙂
Would you know why In SOM BB digital game - why are some players names in blue type face?
Good question. I don’t know the answer. If you find out, please let me know!
@KurtBergland
This video is "Part One". Did you ever complete this series?
Maybe it's paralysis by analysis, but as I'm getting ready for a d&c league draft and I'm not sure what would be the "this card is better than this card" numbers to look at two cards.
I can do that one. When is your draft? Also, how many teams are in your league?
@@KurtBergland since I’m new to the established league we’re having the “expansion” draft Thursday but the main league wide draft is late February.

one of the best parts about the video is that he is wearing a Phillies shirt🤣but actually the video was very good and educational
