"Bring that trophy back to Lincoln!" Such an honor and a privilege to have the great Kent Pavelka join the Common Fans.
Awesome to hear his story about this famous line.
Such a treat to talk to the great Kent Pavelka, the voice of Husker football and basketball games of my childhood. I hope all Common Fans will check out this episode. GBR for LIFE!
Absolutely!
Amazing memories growing up N the 1980's and huddling around the radio to listen to the GREAT Kent Pavelka---- back N tbe early and mid 80's we only got 3 or 4 tv games a yr so the majority of the season was listening on the radio. .. LOVED listening to Kent an Co back N those days--- Kent painted a great picture for the radio audience and to have someone who was just as enthusiastic as me---- THAT was awesome...
God I absolutely loved growing up & listening to Kent announce games. “Cheap shot big time! Typical of the university of Miami!”.
Yes! Such great memories. It was awesome to talk to him. GBR for LIFE!
No doubt! The absolute best!
Goated pod episode and interview, I was so excited to see the legend KP was on this one.
I'm too young for his football announcing days, born in 91. But I'm a die hard nebrasketball fan and he's so special to me, part of my childhood. It's amazing this is his 50th year since starting this work at Nebraska, and idk how I'll cope when he steps away (and quite deservingly, I might add). You guys hit the nail on the head when you remarked that you can hear his love and connection to the place and UNL, and it only makes sense when you find out he's a born and raised lincolnite. (like myself)
Amazing that you guys have the connections and get huge guests like this, I have loved the pod ever since hopping on for the Reckoning series for the first time. ❤ GBR!
KP is a living legend! So great to chat with him!
Really fun getting to chat with KP! He was great!
Got it!
