    I installed LED lights on all my exterior & interior . I used JDM - ASTAR for most of my exterior and yes they are brighter than stock . I put switch backs in the front , wow are they bright in white ! Your truck has what I consider the best rear turn signal system ever , as it's separate turn signal ( which Chevy doesn't have any more 😝) and it blinks on the side ! Very safe idea . Red for red lens is a wise choice . I own a 2016 Elantra GT all LED now ! What a difference !! Great Video !

      Nice job switching up your lights. Actually the safest turn signal setup I've seen is the GM truck from 99-2002 because the turn signal lens is tinted amber helping really distinguish you're turning while the one on my truck is separate but still red like the brake.

    • @Mr.Worf63
      @Mr.Worf63 7 років тому

      AnthonyJ350 Thanks !! Your quite right .My cars are amber front and rear . I agree the set up on the '99 to 2002 is the best , but .. no more ! I looks sooo cheap . It can be done !!! Separate turns and tails make sense as there safer .

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  7 років тому

      Ya I think it's a manufacturing cost because they can just have the brake do double duty on the same wires as opposed to running another line just to do one sole function. I wish more trucks were setup with the separate signals.

    • @Mr.Worf63
      @Mr.Worf63 7 років тому

      AnthonyJ350 Yes! I wish that too . I look at what they have and in my head design separate tails & signals . Cost is put into things you may never use .

    I have a '07 Jeep Grand Cherokee. There is one tail light bulb for the brake, tail & signal. I checked all the wires & installed the resistor. I made sure the brake light, tail light & turn signal worked...and it did (all in the same bulb). Then I installed the LED bulb. Only the brake light & turn signal worked. I flipped the bulb around and the only the parking light would work. Hmmm? Any ideas/suggestion? Thanks!

      In Europe, rear turn signals must be amber by law. So no options here for a red one.

    I did the same thing with my Chevy Cruze yesterday. I replaced the tail lights, the rear marker lights, and the plate lights with LEDs. I got a brighter indication and it seems a little more bold since I used red LEDs. I put my lights on after dark and I really liked how much nicer my tail lights look. I considered replacing the stock lights with an LED housing like you find on some other newer cars, but this was a much cheaper option. I plan on changing out my reverse lights and front marker lights with LEDs as well. I'm not so sure about my turn signals as those would require replacing the flasher relay to prevent hyperflashing and buying load resistors.

      They are faster because LEDs light up instantly whereas incandesent bulbs or halogen ones do not they take 0.5 seconds for the filament to warm up enough to get full brightness.

    Hey! I hope you can help me with this. I have a 2010 Chevy HHR and I just installed 3157 LED Red Tail light/turn signals on the car. When I turn on the auto/DRL they won’t flash but when the DRL is turned off they work but they don’t work correctly. When I turn on the right turn signal, both signals flash and my license plate light flashes along with the DRL markers. When I hit the brakes and use the left signal it won’t flash but when I’m not using the brakes and use the left signal it works. What did I do wrong??

      Look into Sylvania LED bulbs for the rear. Remember you'll need load resistors for the signals.

    I just want everyone to know that if your signal isn't working or brake just flip the bulb. Like turn it 90 degrees

    Too bad absolutely no information about the brightness of led bulbs. There a ton of led bulb variations .....and I am NOT talking about the base. There are "running lights" ....which require a specific "brightness" range (lumens). Brake lights, which require a different brightness (lumens) and back up lights. -------------------- Turn signals can cause problems due to the electrical circuitry. ----------------------------------- "RAPID RESPONSE" OF THE LIGHT BULBS IS THE MOST LEAST IMPORTANT ASPECT OF THESE BULBS.

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  6 років тому

      taxicamel Your right there are a lot of variations. Wouldn't you just read the packaging to see lumen output and colour of the replacement bulb?

    I personally don't see the need for LEDS. I dread being behind a car with LED turn signals. it's so bright and piercing, slamming my eyes every second. lastly, I've never been rear ended because someone couldn't see my taillights. Incandescent bulbs are perfectly fine, and have worked well for 100+ years.

      styldsteel1 Are you 85?? you sound like a old fart. Plenty of people always say oh I couldn't see your turn signal or brake lights. We didn't have LEDs for the past 100 plus years to use. Now we do. They do the job with less power better and last longer and are brighter.

    • @styldsteel1
      @styldsteel1 7 років тому

      Yea. I'm 85. It must be true. I heard it on the internet. Sorry Mister. I don't follow the heard. If someone comes out with something new, the sheeple automatically think it's better. I don't need someone's turn signals stabbing me in the eyes every second. If someone can't see taillights, they should consider maybe paying more attention. What do you mean last longer? Incandescent bulbs lasts for years.

      styldsteel1 That's funny you call better technology for sheep. Also funny why all newer cars are going to the "Sheep" Better technology.

      oONoChanc3Oo lol!! I noticed when comments are posted most of the time they usually end with some sort of advice. Lol!! But I think cars should really be using gas lamps. But that's me personally. I mean, candles are cool for headlights, but gas lasts longer.

      oONoChanc3Oo oh shit nearly forgot. I love when the announcer says....bulbs take too long to come on. Lol. Oh!! And another thing. Dont you ever make fun of my buick!!! The hand crank starter still works like a champ!!
