I have owned air cooled pcars, 2 991.1 GT3s, a GT4RS and now have a 991.2 GT3RS. You will regret getting into a Carrera T. Go with the .1 GT3 and make sure it has the G6 engine. If you want more creature comforts go test drive a 991.1 Turbo S. You can do a lot of great things with them as well. Happy to answer any questions you have.. I’ve put over 100k miles on 991 GT cars
To add to this I think that the reason you see a lot of prominent UA-camrs switching over to Pcars is that they have been there and done that with a lot of other brands (lambos, McLaren, JDM etc) to build views and content for there channel which is an absolute must and now they have refined their taste and can appreciate how dialed in Porsches are… in addition I know porches don’t get as many clicks or views but these guys have built their channels to a point where they can buy and build want they truly “want” now and it just happens a lot of them are pivoting their attention over to pcars. There is a reason they are so good. The GT3 platform is an absolute track weapon that you can drive hard at the track all day, change the oil and tires and daily drive to work all week. Hard pressed to find other brands that can take a beating like that and keep asking for more. I had 75k miles on a 991.1 GT3 and a lot of those were track miles….

Awesome video as always Dustin. It’s so awesome to see the R34 in America and can’t wait to see all the amazing adventures it’s going to have here in the future.
This should be the “Favorite Dut GTR” memory thread. Mine, when you stayed in Hakone after everyone left for a rainy day of exploration. The secret parking, the Tea Shop, cool pottery shop, etc. Definitely the memory I wish was my own.
Well, i typically do not comment on anything but i do have to say this. I've been in caymans, GT4RS, GT3 and a T. I do feel like the GT3 is definitely more raw than the T. The T is more refined and more of a touring car. The GT3 is just more of a visceral experience compared to a T. So my vote would go to a GT3. because you're still able to daily the car and be able to throw on tires and a lid on and go on a track or the touge.
If you go to the gt3 straight away you go were do I go after that (you know you will) with the 922 you can go okay I like this bit I know I can upgrade
991.2 GT3 is the best option IMO. I have a 991.2 C4S with lots of mods and it makes Turbo+ power and on track I can keep up (and pass) with GT3/GT3RS from .2 generation (video proof on my YT channel). However, the 991.2 GT3 is incredible and I hope to get one in the next few years. They sorted out the engine issues the 991.1 had and the interior got a nice upgrade, especially the PCM allowing for car play and much better graphics. I drove the 991.2 GT3 and 992 Turbo S at the Atlanta experience center and I cannot stop thinking about the GT3 induction noise and scream over 7k RPM. I believe the 992 has lost that raw edge, although its gained the much better front suspension. I also think the 991.2 interior is a perfect blend of analog and digital and you can actually see all 5 gauges in the instrument cluster. My car has also been very reliable despite beating it up on track regularly and I know several guys with 991.2 GT3s that have not had any issues.
Food for thought: a 991.2 Carrera T with three pedals. It features the twin-turbo 6-cyl you’re used to in the 992, a strong interior layout (the 992’s is better tho IMO), but it’s so tune-able. In fact, it’s the same engine block and internals on the T, as the GTS, the exception being slightly different factory tune and turbos. Those same OEM GTS turbos can be easily purchased and installed and create a menace for the streets and track. All-in, you’d essentially make a lightweight “GTS” save for a few interior touches that the only the factory GTS provides. The 991.2 T even offers lightweight glass and weight-saving touches. The world’s your proverbial oyster.
Get the GT3 it’s one of the last Metzker engine cars and you simply cant compare it to the 992 when it comes to emotions - if you find one without buckets it even makes getting in and out easy. Apple car play is available as a Porsche update part. Get one as long as you can.
Hi Dut! Im thinking that if u buy a carrera t, it will just turn out to be another modded daily driver because of the effort it takes before u can make that a proper track car(but proves that carrera t are much more tune-able). And to think of it, if the carrera t will be you seat time car, just to get back to your type r etc, isnt it wasteful? Vice versa, if your current track cars will be your seat time cars then hop into a carrera t, wont you feel the lack of "trackness" in the carrera t? But when u get a gt3, we all know what happens next lol
The carrera T has the most proper content basis build you can make it your own it’s different and downpipes, exhaust and tune your basically have a manual turbo s and you can do a dut inspired gt2 dut(s) big wang and aero
Dut go full send trust me you will regret not going GT3 everytime you see one! You can always figure out how to put CarPlay in the GT3. Putting the GT3 touches on the 992 T will be a bigger undertaking.
Since you have a fleet of track cars, I’d get the Carerra T. Modern tech, double wishbone suspension, TT flat 6. Throw exhaust, tune, wheels, and you’re good. Solid daily and canyon carver.
T Owner here. Get the 991.2 GT3. Unique engine, better transmission, better breaks, amazing sound. It is a very unique car. The T plays its card as a engaging daily driver, but it is important not to overspec it with things like bucket seats, carbon roof, aero kits or even RAS. I recommend you just the T-package, Bose and extended leather and there is no real reason not to backseats back in. Have also a look at the even more emotional 991.1 T., as long they have still a reasonable prices.
Former 991.2 911T owner. Amazing cars. My comment is from a car enthusiast that has never owned a Porsche but dreams of being one day. My only complaint is the size. The 992 Carrera T will give you the comfort and racing feeling at the same time plus a lot of people that modify the 992 makes a ton of power and absolutely feels wild, on the other hand the 991.2 GT3 will give you that raw race car feeling and they perform phenomenally , if you are working your way up to the 992 GT3 either one will prepare you for that car, that car is insane and you’ll love that new raw feeling of a Porsche

The Porsche 911 991.1 GTS is a very good option you should look at
You need to drive the GT3😊
Get the gt3 . Don’t hold back. You’re gonna regret it.
You know it's a good day when you got a cup of coffee and a Dustin video. Hope everyone has a great day today! Life is beautiful 🔥🧡
You as well 🤙🏼
Same here. Coffee and a nice creme filled donut lol
Thanks for watching man! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
@@dustiinw took a break from work to be here
@@dustiinw just got one of the packages from the drop in the mail and an upload today’s a great day, thank you Dustin big time. Love the new merch, it’s 🔥🔥🔥. Appreciate you and the legends team. Keep it up 👍
Black GT3 for the win.
So you headed to top rank in Japan on the 14th?
The fact that it has a manual in 2024 is pretty cool. Having new technology is a big factor 😭
Why not keep the cayman GTS a little longer? I feel like you’ve barely driven it lol
I’m not selling right now, just seeing my options because stuff like this takes a while.
Loving my T, here in Austin too 🤘. Look at Cobb who just dropped the tune for the T. Just ordered mine
Black GT3 T-money spec or bust. Wife wants it, you want it.
You have the cayman as a daily possibly. So go with the gt3
Carrera T + roof top tent = awesome roadtrips
Plus you could look into lifting it to create a mini dakar carrera T sort of thing
I’d just get the GT3, you mention it so much in this video that you’ll probably regret getting the Carrera T.
Two years from now the 991 will be worth alot more if you wanted to trade up to a 992 Gt3 in the future.
I think what youre feeling RN is temporary Follow what you love.
Buy tj’s rebuilt gt3 its got a manual too with carbon buckets
All 911’s are good to drive. That said, go 991 GT3. There is no comparison to the wail and feel of that N.A. flat six.
GT3. The 992 is just another 911 that will be worth buying once it comes down in price
I think you should work your way up into a 992 GT3 RS by continuing with a 911 Carrera T then that beautiful 991.1 GT3 with the clear tails and then the boss battle the ultimate track car 992 GT3RS, what do you think?
Red looks so good on the 992 🔥🔥
I think a 991.1 gt3 with the manual would be a perfect fit for the channel
