Uhm, not to fight but Dreamcatcher is not the most underrated (saying they're the most underrated is disrespectful to the real underrated groups such as Dia) but they are indeed underappreciated. DC has a big fandom internationally and is slowly given recognition in Korea. They are the 10th most selling girl group in 2020, 23rd most famous kpop group for December 2020 and they have won various awards internationally. Even without a music show win, they have come close 2nd to most nominations. Sure, the korean netizens may not pay as much attention to Dc yet compared to popular groups but they are definitely not the most underrated girl group as of the moment.
I don't know why they are not popular like blackpink and twice they deserve to be popular they are the only female group who has a dark concept like this and metal rock like this ❤️

dreamcatcher's music is a mash of various genres most notably with their core rock/metal sound. boca is the second part of their dystopia series which criticizes social media and online hate. scream is the first part. there's 7 members in the group but only 6 are in scream/boca since one member went to china late last year to do a tv show and got stranded due to covid travel restrictions. she's back in korea now so the next and final part of dystopia will have all 7 members.

yeah real concerts would be fun, but i loved their 2 online concerts last year. id argue about the best video part, but they only have good songs so its a moot point :) but my favorites are "Sahara" "Red Sun" "And there was no one left" .. funnily enough even though i LOVE their title tracks,.. those 3 bsides are my top 3

"Dreamcatcher" and "Mamamoo" are pretty much the only female groups I can listen to. Dreamcatcher then must be the most underrated female group act in the whole of Kpop. They have one of the best vocals, totally unique sound without that sugary, tooth rotting vibe with doll like cookie cut personas, THE BEST group rapper ( Dami), they sound rock and heavy metal -ish.... whats not to love about them. Here some Info that i hope will help you a little: Dreamcatcher is a 7 Member Girl Group (the chinese member Handong could not be a part of the comebacks in 2020 but is back with the other members). The fandom is named 'InSomia'. The members are JiU,SuA,Siyeon,Handong,Yoohyeon,Dami and Gahyeon. They started out as a 5 Member Girl Group called "Minx" with a completely different concept. Most people want to go through the MV's first and are then going to explore the B-Sides and some guides. As for the MV's: Dystopia Trilogy: "Scream" ist the first part to "Boca", i guess that should be on the list next. The third part will be up this year (maybe soon, there has been a hint given to us). Dreamcatcher is great. Just like you did in the video, this song is calling out the online haters and people who say negative things to and about others. DC is telling them to shut their Boca or mouth. The phrase "why do you feel your precious time with hate" is a call to that. This is part 2 of 3 tackling this subject due to the recent suicides of many prominent Kpop artists which is where the phrase "too many angels dying now" comes into play as it's a call back to those who were bullied to death or even near death.

The lyrics of the MV are about bullying in the digital form and in person. It's referring to the suicide's of 2 kpop-idols Sulli (a former member of girlgroup (f)X) and Goo Hara, who was a really good friend of Sulli. This suicide's happend back in 2019. I don't know if the lyrics also turn to the suïcide of former SHINEE-member Jonghyun back in december 2017. But that's where the lyrics stands for.

Y'all there's more and more people reacting to them and I feel so proud!!! There hasn't been a reaction to Boca that I've seen so far where they didn't fall in love with DC right away and that's just talent right there.
No matter if you like their concept or not, I think we can all agree that DC really is the strongest dark horse of the kpop industry. Even if they were relatively unpopular in Korea for a long time (I dont think this is going to be the case anymore after the next comeback, fingers crossed), they have stood out for their unconventional concept and their amazing skills and they have earned the respect of many of their colleagues. Also, notice how there seems to be more debuting groups with alternative (?) concepts in general. Sure I am not saying that DC should get credit in other groups' place, but I believe their success has given confidence to some companies to try out new stuff. Win or no win, imo they have already written history in Kpop and will be remembered as a top tier trailblazer group.

yeah real concerts would be fun, but i loved their 2 online concerts last year. id argue about the best video part, but they only have good songs so its a moot point :) but my favorites are "Sahara" "Red Sun" "And there was no one left" .. funnily enough even though i LOVE their title tracks,.. those 3 bsides are my top 3

"Dreamcatcher" and "Mamamoo" are pretty much the only female groups I can listen to.
Dreamcatcher then must be the most underrated female group act in the whole of Kpop.
They have one of the best vocals, totally unique sound without that sugary, tooth rotting vibe with doll like cookie cut personas, THE BEST group rapper ( Dami), they sound rock and heavy metal -ish.... whats not to love about them. Dami´s voice sends shivers down my spine every time I hear her. A great, great group !
Boca has one of the most beautiful, unexpected pre-choruses I have ever heard in Kpop ( reminds me of Mylène Farmer songs back in 80´s).

Here some Info that i hope will help you a little:
Dreamcatcher is a 7 Member Girl Group (the chinese member Handong could not be a part of the comebacks in 2020 but is back with the other members). The fandom is named 'InSomia'.
The members are JiU,SuA,Siyeon,Handong,Yoohyeon,Dami and Gahyeon.
They started out as a 5 Member Girl Group called "Minx" with a completely different concept.
Most people want to go through the MV's first and are then going to explore the B-Sides and some guides.
As for the MV's:
Dystopia Trilogy:
"Scream" ist the first part to "Boca", i guess that should be on the list next.
The third part will be up this year (maybe soon, there has been a hint given to us).
"Deja Vu" is a Standalone title track. It was a cooperation with the mobile game King's Raid. (They also have an OST for the King's Raid anime, which is called "Eclipse")
Their debut as Dreamcatcher was "Chase me" and it has a storyline (the Nigthmare Era) going on. There are:

Also their first series of MV's has a storyline which i always thought of as something new and fresh in the K-pop industry. Dreamcatcher is great. Just like you did in the video, this song is calling out the online haters and people who say negative things to and about others. DC is telling them to shut their Boca or mouth. The phrase "why do you feel your precious time with hate" is a call to that. This is part 2 of 3 tackling this subject due to the recent suicides of many prominent Kpop artists which is where the phrase "too many angels dying now" comes into play as it's a call back to those who were bullied to death or even near death.
Dreamcatcher is the best and most talented K-pop groups today. Unfortunately they need more help getting popularity. They already have a good number of songs and MVs, so jump into this awesome universe. They need to be known by the world.

You should definitely react to scream and to be honest... to each Song of 'em. You'll see that each Title track and also their bsides have dope meanings. Other than the title tracks their bsides also offer various Different genres which dont include their Signature Rock elements which they still totally kill imo.

BOCA means 'Mouth' in Spanish and this track is telling online bullies to shut their mouth if hate is all they have to say. Boca is their 2nd track of their Dystopia storyline. A dystopia where freaks can hide behind their masks (being anonymous online) and spread their hate. The line "why fill your precious time with hate" refers to these haters. And "too many angels dying now" probably is a reaction to the recent kpop stars that have taking their own life's, and many others not as known, but is affected just as seriously.
The first part of this Dystopia series is 'Scream'. I'd advice you to watch that one next!

The lyrics of the MV are about bullying in the digital form and in person. It's referring to the suicide's of 2 kpop-idols Sulli (a former member of girlgroup (f)X) and Goo Hara, who was a really good friend of Sulli. This suicide's happend back in 2019. I don't know if the lyrics also turn to the suïcide of former SHINEE-member Jonghyun back in december 2017. But that's where the lyrics stands for.

No matter if you like their concept or not, I think we can all agree that DC really is the strongest dark horse of the kpop industry. Even if they were relatively unpopular in Korea for a long time (I dont think this is going to be the case anymore after the next comeback, fingers crossed), they have stood out for their unconventional concept and their amazing skills and they have earned the respect of many of their colleagues.
Also, notice how there seems to be more debuting groups with alternative (?) concepts in general. Sure I am not saying that DC should get credit in other groups' place, but I believe their success has given confidence to some companies to try out new stuff. Win or no win, imo they have already written history in Kpop and will be remembered as a top tier trailblazer group.
