I love all the popular girl groups, but slowly after listening to their music I've realized Dreamcather are the best. They're so criminally underrated
I agree. There are 3 big mysteries in KPOP industry. 1) Why couldn't Dream catcher do 1st win? 2) Why didn't Kard do 1st win? 3) Why has been Loona so underated in SK? In this year, I hope those mysteries will be solved...
Sometimes, the most popular may not be the only good ones. As we know, some groups which are wonderful like Dreamcatcher, and even Oh My Girl (both are in my set of favorites) are really underrated, but they would rise soon in limelight, as I hope.
I am totally ok with you not pausing all the time. In fact I like it more because this is your "true reaction", so don't say that your a bad reactor. There are people that pause or talk while watching and I think they loose this the full experiance of being captivated by the music and visuals. You seem much more invested and for me it's like seeing reflection of myself. So don't be to harsh on yourself.
I cant explain how triggered I am when reactors keep pausing or talking constantly during the first listen. I dont say it tho cuz it sounds toxic, but like, stfu and take it in lol. Then listen to it a second time with pauses and analysis... Sorry, rant ._.

When you notice something really cool, you have the right to pause and say it. I don't care how the reactor reacts as long as the reaction is genuine.
I would personally pause, if I was making a video, because I have to get my thoughts to the audience. Otherwise it's just a random guy listening.

This song was used for King's Raid (a mobile game) that's why the theme is different and the song follows the themes/storylines in the game. It's also why this music video looks amazing cause they got quite a lot of money to make it. Can't wait to see more dreamcatcher content from you! My request is for you to react to their first song Chase Me from all the way back in 2017!

dreamcatcher's lyrics often tell two stories, one following the mv's imagery and the other the member's personal stories. to fully understand dreamcatcher's lyrics you have to understand its origin.
dreamcatcher was born from a failed group called minx which had 5 of the 7 dreamcatcher members. minx was the standard bubblegum pop group sound typical during 2014-2015 and coming from a small company did not stand out. when minx's future was in limbo, the members were in a dark period not knowing their future and this period is the true 'nightmare' referenced in their first story line which starts with their debut song chase me. luckily their company made a very bold move to pour more money into the members and redebut them as dreamcatcher with two new members. their name itself also has a dual meaning like their lyrics, one referencing the native american ward and the other 'catching' your dreams. so many of dreamcatcher's lyrics are about overcoming struggles and not giving up on your dreams. in some songs, it's very apparent but in most it's abstract.
so when you view the lyrics in this light, the pronouns do not reference a person, they represent dreams, goals, aspirations, etc. deja vu in this light describes their dark period where they 'erase all my memories', 'far path I departed on only left hurtful marks', 'try to grasp the ends of the dream', 'abandoned everything', etc... to chase their dreams and how this desire kept them going but even in the early days of dreamcatcher there were struggles and even through deja vu's period the group was mostly under the radar and ignored by the industry. so, 'I'm saved now' at the end references how dreamcatcher saved them but they were still in the deja vu of struggles to achieve the success in their dreams.
In fact, officially, the lyrics are the plot of the mobile game King's raid.

On 2021/03/24 they release "Eclipse" oficial song for Vespa's "Kings Raid: Sucesors of the will" anime. The lyrics of dejavu is a storyline of the mobile game King's raid.(collaboration) If you want to understand the lyrics, read below.
The main character, Kasel, and Frey, a childhood friend and priest, go on an adventure to find Kasel's blood brother(Clause).
Kasel, who became a warrior(hero) by a goddess while searching for his brother, goes on an adventure to defeat the dark lord with Frey and other colleagues.
However, the dark lord was Kasel's father who was taken advantage by the goddess. And Kasel, who defeated the dark lord with the power of the Holy Sword, decides to suicide bombing with his father.
But the goddess keeps Cassel from suicide bombing.
The dark lord was dead. But the power of the dark lord from the holy sword encroached on injured Kasel, eventually he became the dark lord.
To save Kasel, Frey prays to the goddess, but the goddess ignores her prayer. Frey feels betrayed and despised by the goddess. In the end, she is also corrupted(falls in the darkness) with the dark lord Kasel.

Kpop has so professional and technically perfect groups and singers. But only few are really outstanding: Mamamoo and Dreamcatcher are the most fascinating and versatile performers. These are really talented artists - even without the massive promotion and funding of a big company. Bands that deserve more appreciation because every single member is a phenomenal artist ! And they prove this in their formidable solo performances.

Deja vu was a collaboration with the game „Kings raid“ and it follows the storyline of the game.
The two main characters are Jiu (blonde girl with sword) and Yoohyeon (grey hair on the ground). At the beginning you can see Yoohyeon sitting on the throne and getting covered in dark smoke. Jiu and Yoohyeon are fighting but in the end Jiu throws away her sword and runs away, she doesn’t want to fight anymore. But Yoohyeon than grabs the sword and backstabs Jiu. You can see her alone on the throne at the end but she‘s not happy and wishes she could go back in time when all her friends were still there.
(Correct me if i‘m wrong with anything but that was the raw summary i believe)

The MV is about perception, deception and betrayals. Yooyheon sees Jiu as this selfish ruler who dosent want to share the trone with the rest of them, so the girls are planning to overthrow her.
Then you see the switch / jiu's perception , (when she wears the pink dress) you see her drop the sword in front of Yooyheon showing that she is a kind and merciful ruler since she is sparing Yooyheon's life even tho she plotted against her.
But then Yooyheon picks up the sword to stab Jiu in the back and take her place on the trone. This symbolizes that no matter what you do you are always victim of other's perception of you.
Because she was perceived as the selfish ruler, they wanted to overthrow her, but when she spares the life of the people plotting against her she is perceived as weak and still gets overthrown for it.
At the end you see Yooyheon sitting on the trone alone realizing that its a lonely place to be ( everyone around her is gone , could be because they know what she did to get there also, or think she did , yet again perception meaning )
This MV and song are nothing short of a literal masterpiece.

Oh damn you got to this fast! Deja Vu is the song and MV that *always* gets everyone. Never feel the need to apologise for being so invested in the experience, that's what we want to see! Their MV's have a lot going on in them visually and lyrically, and that's without the change ups in instrumental AND the video's storyline. So don't be hard on yourself, and if you ever need someone to fill in a blank for you InSomnia are great at breaking down what we know, but there's always room for interpretation which is what makes all forms of art so dope :) I'm sure you'll get a bunch of suggestions so I'll throw their Japanese release Endless Night out there as it's not connected to their overall story arc but *is* sick and imo underappreciated

This video is just beautiful. I'm not much of an art guy, but when I watch this video, I feel like what I imagine artsy people feel when they look at a great painting.
