When I saw this on TV as a kid I cried when I saw what those bastards did to Candyman, it was so cruel and humanized the Candyman. Really changed my perspective on the character and that has stuck with me for years. Farewell to the Flesh isn't the best sequel ever but it has strong merits!
I remember so vividly the scene where they killed him as a human stood out so much. It was really heart breaking and humanized Candyman a lot for me as a kid. I need to give this one a rewatch. Tony Todd did so much for horror.
First off, is there a better name for a slasher than Farewell to The Flesh? I also love the iconic art for the cover of the film. Loved the movie itself too, very worthwhile sequel
I'm from New Orleans. Any New Orleanian who watches this movie tends to treat it like a comedy. It's hysterical. From the over the top accents to the stupidly campy French names this movie leaves me cackling every time. For example: location of the Mansion -- no part of Esplanade Ave backs onto the river. No part of the town sits on a cliff overlooking the river, New Orleans is below sea level and the river is up higher than the land. And dancing half naked in the rain?! Mardi Grass is freezing most years! Plus, like every film, the geography is rearranged like a jigsaw puzzle.
Farewell to the Flesh is a great sequel, they didn’t need a part 3 in my opinion only the first 2 exist, let’s not forget about that butchered reboot that could’ve delivered more‼️😒🤬🤣🤷🏽♂️ Rest in peace TONY TODD‼️🏆👉🏽👨🏾♐️🌹
I was about 4 years old and saw the scene of strange invaders with the little kid getting sucked in and shrivel up on himself and it terrified me for years lol It is still a terrifying scene
It Would've Made The Candyman Sequel Better If They Brought Virginia Madsen Back And Added The Interracial Storyline Between Candyman And Helen Lyle As Well.
Repent Jesus is using me to start warn the world to start living for Jesus Christ before it's too late get baptized and filled with the holy Spirit please don't get too comfortable in this world or body it's temporary remember Jesus is the reason why we are still alive please don't take that lightly
Rest in peace Tony Todd his performance as Candyman was Legendary

Exactly facts what happened to him is heart breaking and heart broken 😢and it makes sense on how he became that way
RIP Tony Todd, you were amazing. ❤
This man was a cornerstone of horror in my childhood ❣️ RIP 🙏

That rat fur is Candymans best look. I noticed that rat fur and his shoes ... Then the hook hehe but the look is iconic

Said "Tony Todd" into the mirror last night three times, and he scared the shit out of me; it was awesome!

EXCUSE ME!?!? Rat fur?? That jacket in the first movie was pimp AF
The difference is..... Halloween III is good
Meh 😂
I’ll take this over H3.
I have always preferred halloween 3 over the rest of them.
@@edwardsanchez3708😂🤡
People sleep on it
Interesting to mention Bill Condon and not the fact that he wrote Chicago or won an Oscar for Gods and Monsters
What do you mean they'd finally have their own Dracula? You had to have seen Blacula, if not check it out.
I'm glad Joblo are covering the Candyman series. He's one of the great horror icons but is too often overlooked.
I was never too huge into this one when I first saw it. But I’m thinking of giving it a rewatch at some point.
😂 "What in the Halloween 3 am I talking about?" 😂
Love the movie we got and the direction it took. We got Candyman’s backstory as well as the importance mirrors play in the mythos.

Rip Tony Candyman Todd I like this Candyman sequel
If I remember correctly, One of the original ideas for the sequel was having Virginia Madsen as another Candyman due to the original's ending.
I absolutely love Candyman to this day. Everything about it is perfect. These sequels and the reboot pale in comparison.
I really enjoyed this sequel. Any fan of the original should definitely watch it. Candyman 3 : Day of the Dead is the one to avoid.
I think I got 5 minutes into Candyman 2 and turned it off. RIP Tony Todd! 🙏
YAY MORE TYLERRRR

It is still a terrifying scene
This one was my favorite ❤
Can you do the vampire movie The Addiction next?
I thought this was pretty good
I remember seeing it in theaters loved it I love them all

Still better than that “reimagining” we got a few years back. It was all too political.
Tony todd wasn't the main actor in the last candyman, even if though it was filmed beautiful,it was a terrible flim
Decent sequel way better than part 3, which was terrible
Great sequel, i tried to watch the turd... i mean the 3rd one but i stopped after 15min... and the "remake" is complete garbage!!!
It was rough!
Call me crazy But I actually enjoyed this one more than the first!🤷♂️
I like this one a lot, maybe even more than the first one.
This movie just felt boring to me compared to the original.
I just rewatched this. I didn't like it then. And I still don't like it. It's a very subpar sequel.
I remember there was a lot of excitement for this sequel. That went out the window after everyone saw it. I thought it was pretty meh.
First baby
