Despite the constant chase by bad weather, our trusty Dodge Challenger ensured we stayed one step ahead, providing ample parking space as we explored the harbor and a local market in Monterey. Fisherman’s Wharf, though touristy, captivated us with its bustling atmosphere, seafood delights, and quirky characters. Waving goodbye to the boats, the sun broke through the clouds, giving us that authentic California feeling: pure joy!
Our adventure continued along the mesmerizing Monterey Bay Coastal Trail, offering ever-changing views of the sea, flora, and fauna. Seals lounging and sea otters entertaining us with their antics made this coastal journey truly unforgettable. Cannery Row, lined with hotels and shops, greeted us as we cruised along, capturing the essence of Monterey's charm.
After a brief pause at Cannery Row, it was time to drive to our Best Western hotel in Pacific Grove, strategically located to explore the surrounding beauty. Stay tuned for more details in an upcoming video! Checking into the hotel, we couldn't resist the allure of the famous 17-Mile Drive, a scenic coastal route weaving through Pacific Grove and Carmel.
This 17-mile stretch unfolded breathtaking panoramas of the Pacific Ocean, lush forests, and impressive golf courses. Iconic landmarks, beautiful beaches, and stunning estates painted a picture of California's coastal beauty.
