Thank you dude, really good advices, definitely this is one of my favorite tracks, recognized for its difficulty, I am training to run with rain since in a few days we will make a Formula A championship and the idea is to do it in the worst weather conditions Possible. You won a subscriber. Greetings.
Hey! I play Forza MotorSport. I don't play project cars or asetto, but I love these videos!! Ive never commented before but I had to. The change from dark to fog at 18:22 was so smooth It blew me away. It is clear the effort that goes into these videos and they are amazing! Glad I subbed! Keep it up!!
19:06 this over the crest corner should be added to top most dangerous corners. specifically, in the rain. THANKS! That was the best teaching video I have seen in a long time on UA-cam, on this subject. Thanks for the time, effort and creativity you shared with us. "Two thumbs up!"
I've tried it already (not my voice) but people said they prefer the written annotations: ua-cam.com/video/scCFsPx_ric/v-deo.html Probably people understand better written english...
***** Yeah i see that.. it is really just my opinion but I feel like that may be a vocal minority who prefer annotations- and they're probably all loyal fans at that (loyal fans tend to not like change anyway). I feel like maybe if you tried commentary a bit more you may appeal to a little bit of a broader audience. Again, that's just my opinion man and I'm not you so you do you. I don't watch your videos often but when I do i'm always impressed with the quality of them :)
once I told u I love this track.. I've seen many pro pilots approaching the technical parts of the track.. but no1 was ever been this complete.. the "curbs to avoid" are a very important factor also the overtake zones. nice content & send us more GREEN HELL races ;D
Very good & informative video! Nordschleife is definately my favourite track of all time and biggest problem for me has somehow always been first few corners of the track. I love the corners after caroussel the most :)
gentle -J i used to be a gt6 racer with about 50 to 60% of viper's abilities. but these curves are as hard as in another games as long as it is the same kind of game (im talking about simulation btw)
I played Nordschleife on: - Project Gotham Racing 2, 3 & 4 - Forza Motorsport 1, 2, 3, 4 - Gran Turismo 4, PSP I can't play on more recent games, but i'ts definetly my favourite track, that + a TVR Cerbera Speed 11 = Awesomeness Nice video
I think the Wehrseifen (top left of the track map) is a pretty dangerous corner. You start breaking into a slight right before turning left, so it's very easy to lock up and slide into the wall if you're not careful.
Kind correction: The Niki Lauda crash didn't mark the end of F1 racing on the Nordschleife. The removal of the Nordschleife races was agreed upon way before. They merely agreed in 1976 to race one last time on the Nordschleife.
Man this video is amazing! I know the Nordschliefe very well but I just watched it for some reason. It felt like a documentary movie! I really hope you get do drive on the Nurburgring one day! Subbed.
Viperconcept, you are truly kick ass! Big fan, watching your vids for a while, and real fan of the old cups ( even though you don't do them anymore 😅). Keep doing what you doing!
On GTPSP i raced a Escudo PikesPeak using a Nissan Gr.C Lemans RaceCar wich name i forgot and idk how tf does he keeps up the speed while i have to release the throttle.
Yep, that Adenauer Forst and the Flugplatz are doozies, especially for stiffer cars. Make sure your shocks have some give before tackling this course, it's too bumpy for stiff cars to keep stable. Even a Caterham 7 will give you better times if you soften up the stabilizer bars. Downshift before hitting the hill, and aim for the right side of the track, the tires will direct you right there without going too fast over the hill and losing traction.
This video makes me want to buy Gran Turismo sport so hard!! I have always been a racing games fanatic, I've ran on the Nordschleife for more than 1000 laps and I know every single corner of it like it was my house LOL A proposito, ho sentito che sei italiano! Daje tutta, bravo cosi! P.S: Non so se comprarmi sto Project Cars... Sono lì lì ma sempre titubante... Uscitemi i motivi validi per comprarlo!! Haha
My very first time driving on this particular track was back in PGR, I think it was PGR3 or PGR4 that really pissed me off to the fact where I wanted to study every inch of the track, now I love it like no other. Side note: These missions in GT5 on this track with the Merecdes-Benz SLS AMG was difficult to get through sometimes, however at the same time I learned more things about that as I did it again and again.
hi bruh i love ur videos.. we share the same passion about sim race games.. i i love this track also i did maybe around 800 to 1000 laps on this track virtually from GT5,6 and PCars. though im just a regular dude living in the 3rd world driving a regular sedan seeing you putting some serious effort for this channel is remarkable. keep it up! i wish i could race you online HAHA
im pretty sure ive done 1000+ laps of this on JUST gran turismo PSP.............. 5000+ laps easy combined across nearly 20 years of racing my record was a 6 06 with a race spec tvr in gt5 600hp and 940kg and i was beating 1000hp+ lemans cars that weighed less......... i only ever met a handful of people while racing online who could match my skills
nice. i myself I'm sure have done well over 5k laps on the Nordschleife by now and constantly growing. all my circuit cars are tuned there as well as my street and multi-purpose cars(i have a tuning company on Forza) and some of my low hp roll racing cars are too. i used to always do an hour at a time on it to make alot of money, from Forza 3 to Forza 6 today. just dont have the time much any more lol. love the track and know it by heart. tuned an old late 80s BMW 6 series on Forza 6 with 400hp, 3,300+ pounds, street tires, and tuned for automatic transmission users with a 5 speed automatic and completed the Nordschleife in 8 minutes flat on the first lap.
Personally I have a lot of knowledge about Nordschleife.. I played a lot at GT4, BMW M3 Challenge or simulator (do you remember the old little game that BMW had on their official website? lol), I downloaded a mod that had Nordschleife. And then I played a lot at this track with GT5 and GT6. And now that I play Project CARS, I have to say that it wasn't hard to me because I love this track. The only thing I didn't knew was at night when you see a sign that means that in that instant you have to brake or start braking. But yeah, this track needs hours of racing, but you did an AMAZING video about it. Great work. I'm Subscribed!
Really like your videos , I was thinking about doing some video like this one in French for our noobs. Your tips and your point of view will definitly be helpfull for a new approach of the track.
Oh my God Thanks for sharing this information! Today I'll participate on car Roulette for the first time, and this was very useful for to me! You're my hero! 🙏👊😂
Can I use these strategies and technics in real life on this track? Your tips and lessons are very interesting and very simple explained with the details on the corners and straight lines too, thank you.
That's a great tube. I've done countless laps and consider myself a great 'virtual' driver with deep knowledge about the track, and yet, I learned some wonderful new things. Project cars in the McLaren GT3 I can usually go 6.55ish...
that's pretty decent i did 6.06 as my record for the ring non gp in gt5 with the race spec tvr (600hp and 940kg) and i skullfucked the 1000hp+ lemans racers all the time that car + that track i was truly untouchable you doing 6:55 in a car with less HP and more aero drag is impressive
Great video! Every time, people ask me something about driving and tips, it´s hard for me to explain it in words. I only know, how to deal with all the different situations, but explaining is another thing. And this, you do very well! To your statistic: Isn´t it a little bit funny, that it is hard to drive a few laps in a row without mistakes althoug one has driven so many laps on it? I started driving the Nordschleife in Gran Turismo 4, too and this track isn´t easy yet.:)
My first time on the virtual Nordschleife was 2008 on Gran Turismo 4. After 5 Years i was able to drive on the track. Every time to drive on the track in GT6, Forza or Assetto Corsa makes fun. You have right with the dangerous corners. I wish in the next Games the Nordschleife with the long Start Straight. I tried to make the track with the Track Path Editor, but then after the lap my PS3 begin to freeze an I can't save the TRACK.. XD XD
Im still struggling to enter the Caracciola-Karussel, either i need to really slow speed to maintain the car, or forcing myself to use the outer part of the curve instead the inner one. I learned from my friend that on the Flugplatz he said i could either brake before the jump or let go the throttle mid-air (if the car jumps) then turn the steering and kick the gas on.
This track has always been a nightmare for me. BTW, as a friendly tip, "Deads is, although understandable, not a real word. Dead is a state of being, what something is. Die is the verb, And deaths is what the desired word was. I hope this helps! I know English is a tough language, and I don't blame you for mistakes, viper concept. Keep on racing!
The funny (and frustrating) thing is I lost 20 minutes deciding between these 2 words, and I took the wrong one. The Murphy's law persecutes me... :P Thank you! ;-)
I enjoyed the whole video but I watched it mainly because of the Karussell... I just CANT take the internal line fast like everyone else, I always end up spinning if I dont go super slow so I take external line no matter the vehicle lol I gotta practice again in Project Cars
That track... you hate it until you do your first fast lap on it. Then what I call green fever takes over and you can't stop driving on it. I remember that time when I would refuse driving on any other track for about 2-3 weeks and practiced just on that track. That's definitely my favorite track then there's Laguna Seca and Le mans
Love your videos dude!! Especially the ones that you explain the important rules for meaningful racing! I share your love for the Green Hell and the fact that I want to drive it IRL...I have also drove it virtually the last 7 years in 3 games(shift 1 & 2 and AC), but not even close to the laps you ve done! I really respect your skills and knowledge for race driving and I think I m learning a lot from your videos! Also your editing skills make your videos very enjoyable! Keep up what you doin' and take care, love from Greece\\m//
Nice vid! Your car setup is much faster than your opponent on the last straight. You caught him up so easily. Did you only change gear ratios for higher top speed or did you also make corrections to aerodynamics?
I was born with a unnatural driving abilities, at age 5, little me was drifting go-karts better then the pros. Sadly I was also born with a spine as twisted up as my favorite back roads that kept me from good paying jobs so to keep my driving skills improving I stared working as a courier at 20 and got so many miles on the road I felt like it was time to try racing.... but that part about having a bad spine keeping me from making good money, well that kept me from ever getting even close to driving in a real race! I thought that if I just showed enough skill then I would find a way to get into pro racing but without money to start racing in my own car, no one would ever know how good I was and still am. I'm broken hearted after seeing that I won't be able do do online racing due to the cost... That and my back and leg pain is driving me insane! I might have been one of the best if I was given a chance back when I was younger but now that I'm 40, stuck suffering in a wheelchair and won't make it past the 1st day it gets to freezing outside.... All I ever wanted to be when I was growing up was a racecar driver, what I got was hell on earth.... that's what I get for growing up. I don't even have kids so I don't even have someone to be proud of if they got to live my dream... and that is a kick to the soul that leaves a dark spot that never goes away!
Viper. You should do a video showing people where the white turn in dots are on some corners. It would help a lot of people clean up their laps know the best turn in points
I'd say a majority of the kerbs are pretty dangerous on the Nordschleife. I usually stay away from there at all costs but will get as close as I can without mounting them
amazing video! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! This is my favourite track. I'm totally obsessed about it now. I have Project Cars and Assetto Corsa and my question is does the differences of Nordschleife in this two games/simulators bother you? Is this a trouble for you to jump between this two titles?
Only advice I disagree with is the "Paitence" it depends on the car you are racing and what you have. You may not have the luxery of doing it on the straight, if you have less engine power and are winning in corners, but losing on the straights, your only redeeming fact is to get ahead and try to gain as much of a gap as possible before the final straight.
Great work!! really have been enjoying your videos! Only thing I do not agree with is the map, even placed in the center of the screen it still takes focus away from the track ;p
"you have to wait calmly"
*smashes into opponent*
*drives on grass*
*performs a powerslide*
hahahahahaha
Pro tip: Don't take the Yellowbird to this track, you're going to have a bad time.
JohnDaWhale2 Um... I should of taken note of this comment when I tried.
Mikael K Funny how my favorite car to drive in the Nurburgring is the Yellowbird.
There's just something about it's lack of Traction and how raw it is. I like having difficulties with traction, which kinda means I'm obsessed with massive oversteer.
it's like I love taking the yellowbird round the track cause I know it's not forgiving also it understeers like mad
My personal favorite is the 911 Carrera RSR 2.8...
Everyone can drive in GT6 lmao
Who hit the dislike button? This is one of the best "How to" videos.
*Reload shotgun sound*
BlueRonin probably somebody he overtook after the drafting lol
those that didnt take the advice and crash at Nur
Because it's impossible to watch the video and read the text simultaneously!
Ivo Koimecs then press "pause".
This track is so long, most racer crashed because they were losing their focus
Aufar Raden true that. but once you get enough experience and knowledge on the ring, you shouldbe fine
@@LMDF2000 lol in real life, even pro racers still make mistakes
I drove the ring in 1970. Stayed overnight at the hotel on the circuit(phenomenal racing history)and drove the circuit the next day. Paid 10 Dueches Marks for 2 laps. This also included the now defunct South Course(an additional 5 miles)and was long before the abortion known as the GP course. Have many pictures from that trip. It sure has changed. For one thing people back then didn't feel the need to write all over the road.
Holy shit do I hear ancient colin Mcrae rally menu music?
Obi-Wan Kannabis That's what I heard as well :D still its good.
me too :v
I'm so happy to live near the Nurburg
Woah, you are so lucky
My dream is live near Nurburgring to drive every time i desire it, like Ayrton Senna did it in the past, in Mônaco.
what is the cost of life where you live?
what language is spoken over there? English and what more?
whon much cost a BMW over there?
Awesome tips. I've been racing this track in video games for 15+ years and I still suck at it.
ive been doing it for 10+ years and im beyond amazing at it
set a record time of 6 minutes 6 seconds on the non gp layout in a race spec tvr in gt5
i shat on many legit 1000hp+ race cars during that race and fully tuned veyrons with my 600hp 940kg tvr
that's better than sebastian bellofs time in a porsche race car with 800hpP and way less weight than my tvr
what im saying is im a driving god
well you made the damn thing
adolf hitler i gave you a like for your confidence
its funny how everyone on internet its god. lets made up more stories!
5:59 mercedes clk-gtr soft tyres in gt4
I love the way you set up the annotations in this.
Thank you dude, really good advices, definitely this is one of my favorite tracks, recognized for its difficulty, I am training to run with rain since in a few days we will make a Formula A championship and the idea is to do it in the worst weather conditions Possible. this over the crest corner should be added to top most dangerous corners.
specifically, in the rain.
I think it was gran Turismo that taught me, this hill in the rain acts like a waterfall. very low grip in heavy rain as water runs down the track like a hotel water fountain, causing a lot of extra hydroplane.
also, the older section of the track, bout 3/4 in, is worse on grip than the rest.
also a gT learned thing
(Mercedes nurb training GT5?)
just a few notes I thought would be great if you ever did another video on the ring.
apologies for not knowing the section names of the track. after 20,000 miles or so you'd think I'd learn them.
The ring. it must be the perfect vacation for any motorsports fan.
thanks for the vid.
those 20 minutes felt a lot less
Wtf
Random Guy what
TheCaliforniaConservative 2 random guys
Random Guy wait you aren't op?
THANKS! That was the best teaching video I have seen in a long time on UA-cam, on this subject. Thanks for the time, effort and creativity you shared with us. "Two thumbs up!"
You have really good content in your videos man, I think you should try talking in them! Good speaking voices come from practice :)
I agree. Commentary would help his channel a lot. Every thing else is spot on!
I've tried it already (not my voice) but people said they prefer the written annotations: ua-cam.com/video/scCFsPx_ric/v-deo.html
Probably people understand better written english...
+viperconcept I see. Either way I really enjoy the content. Keep it up.

I feel like maybe if you tried commentary a bit more you may appeal to a little bit of a broader audience.
Again, that's just my opinion man and I'm not you so you do you. I don't watch your videos often but when I do i'm always impressed with the quality of them :)
why not both
Me: Completes a overtake on The Schwenderkreuz
Viperconcept: DELETE THIS!
I always loved how this track was like the final boss of racing
Thank you for taking the time to make these videos, they're über awesome
almost a year ago and you helped me improve by just watching these videos. thanks from a fellow racer , see you on the track !

the amount of efforts in this video is tremendous. thank you .
The GTPSP driving challenges also teach you about the Nordschleife :)
with the jay leno voice overs, don't forget!!!!!
one of the hidden gems of GTPSP
Adolf Hitler I'm sorry, but there was a woman's voice in my version
Agree, even two parts. Playing it on emulator today, got bronze on Part 1. Ik i suck haha
You put a LOT of effort into these videos, and it shows. Big thumb up. Thanks for posting this, very informative.
Dude, what a work, it's really incredible what you've done with this video, keep up the god work man!! subbed
You're videos are awesome mate. Great driving, funny edit and really informative. You made me a better sim driver for sure!

I've hit the like button:-). It's really hard to find someone can race you know. I like your videos a lot! Racing games are great!
Thank you for watching them! ^^
Hey man, what's the story behind the red Viper in your videos?
Anderson Scholmeier Very simple: it's my favourite car of my childhood.^^
viperconcept
do you think a hot lap in nurburging in GT6 talkes about car capabilities in real life?
gentle -J i used to be a gt6 racer with about 50 to 60% of viper's abilities. but these curves are as hard as in another games as long as it is the same kind of game (im talking about simulation btw)

Felipe Flügel xD
Holy shit. What a AWESOME video.
Great job dude, and all those hours you put in, DAMN !!!.
You deserve an Oscar love your channel and still do thanks for the tips and they will help me on gt6 even tho I've had it for 3 years. ;)
Another quality video, man!!!
Your channel is easily one of my absolute favorites here on UA-cam, regarding racing games. :) Keep it up!! ;D
You deserve more likes and viewers. Thanks for the useful info man:)

I can't play on more recent games, but i'ts definetly my favourite track, that + a TVR Cerbera Speed 11 = Awesomeness
Nice video
Do i take the internal line when going through the Karusell in the unconquerable Nurburgring mission?
I salute you for this and your other videos on tips and tutorials. They have helped me alot.
I think the Wehrseifen (top left of the track map) is a pretty dangerous corner. You start breaking into a slight right before turning left, so it's very easy to lock up and slide into the wall if you're not careful.

thanks for puting great effort in making these videos. keep them up!

NFS Shift 2. At night in the rain. That is the hardest, most challenging competitive race I've ever seen in a game that features real cars.
Really like your videos , I was thinking about doing some video like this one in French for our noobs. Your tips and your point of view will definitly be helpfull for a new approach of the track.
Oh my God
Thanks for sharing this information! Today I'll participate on car Roulette for the first time, and this was very useful for to me! You're my hero! 🙏👊😂
Can I use these strategies and technics in real life on this track? Your tips and lessons are very interesting and very simple explained with the details on the corners and straight lines too, thank you.
If you want to crash... :D You can
:D
@@199772AVVI Theres a reason why this games are Simulators
This race track was also in Need for Speed Shift. One of the longest tracks ever to be nearly 18 miles long.
Another excellent presentation from you Viper. I hope some day you live your dream to race the Nurburgring irl :-)
Very Very nice video!! I learned alot and im quite experienced already! Thanks for taking time to make this video guide.
That's a great tube. I've done countless laps and consider myself a great 'virtual' driver with deep knowledge about the track, and yet, I learned some wonderful new things. Project cars in the McLaren GT3 I can usually go 6.55ish...
that's pretty decent
i did 6.06 as my record for the ring non gp in gt5 with the race spec tvr (600hp and 940kg)
and i skullfucked the 1000hp+ lemans racers all the time
that car + that track i was truly untouchable
you doing 6:55 in a car with less HP and more aero drag is impressive
Great video; I'm used to your text commentary, and I really dig your editing style ;)
Keep up the good work bro!
This is great! Not alot of people take much time to help others in need, especially on the green hell :D
I can't even make a single lap driving slow as hell without totaling my car.
I cant even do a single lap. Gran Turismo Portable emulated in Android.
@@EdyAlbertoMSGT3 yeah me too motherf*cking bumps make me spin like stupid
Tip on the flugplatz, you should start turning when u pass the red thing on the barrier on the left side. atleast it works in gt6
another great video! now i know the track even better! keep up the good work!
Very good content as always! Expectations exceeded.
How this has any dislikes is beyond me. Two thumbs, two toes, and one chub up in my opinion.
I started driving the Nordschleife in Gran Turismo 4, too and this track isn´t easy yet.:)
wow very in-depth. great job this helps me alot. I love the track i can run it all day on any racing game
XD XD
A piece of art, congrats! Loved it!
You lifted too soon at end of the straight, you can do that flat out. A good trick is a taller top gear just for draft passing.
This track has always been a nightmare for me.
BTW, as a friendly tip,
"Deads is, although understandable, not a real word. Dead is a state of being, what something is.
Die is the verb,
And deaths is what the desired word was.
I hope this helps! I know English is a tough language, and I don't blame you for mistakes, viper concept.
Keep on racing!
The funny (and frustrating) thing is I lost 20 minutes deciding between these 2 words, and I took the wrong one.
The Murphy's law persecutes me... :P
Thank you! ;-)
Best tips in race car gaming ever
Nordschleife is my favorite track, IMHO assetto corsa gives the best experience compared to all racing games.
Anyway, nice video =)
I don't even have kids so I don't even have someone to be proud of if they got to live my dream... and that is a kick to the soul that leaves a dark spot that never goes away!
in nordschleife, my favorite part is the carousel
yes and you don't know how to write it...lol just joking, it's one of the most famous part of the ring
you can find it at fun fair XD
very helpful. I always like playing on this track on every game that offers it.
Enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks for making this video. Nordscheleife for life :3
awesome video, my memory is horrible but I've been trying to learn this track for a month.
this video should help greatly.
Great video mate ! You got some real "virtual" skill on the Green Hell ;) !
