The future cops should do at least 2-3 years as a prison guard and to start your police career you should be put in the cities first than work to your retirement in a small town.

I got an associate degree in criminal justice, they really wanted us to become correctional officers, but prison is the last place I want to be either as a prisoner or a correctional officer, I hate the prison mentality, it’s the sickest men, and I’m not a sick fuck, I once went to a rehab with all the guys from prison, let’s just say I wasn’t impressed by these guys at all, they were all big and muscular, but they didn’t want to work or do their chores or follow the rules or listen to the staff or do anything they were supposed to do, they literally complained about everything, grown men complaining about stupid shit and not doing their part, I left early cuz I couldn’t stand being around these guys, I went to the army and I’ve always worked even though I’ve always been an addict , but real tough guys raise their families and do the right things in life and work jobs to provide for their families, that’s a real tough guy, these prisoners had no idea about that lifestyle, one guy had his teenage daughter show up one day to eat Lunch with us and this guy didn’t have a relationship with his daughter, he asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said a cop, you should have seen the look on his face, his heart sank, instead of being proud, instead of being so proud of her he was embarrassed that she said that out loud in front of all of us, I can’t respect any man with this mentality or that wants to live this lifestyle, I respect the real tough guys doing the right things, without them we wouldn’t have this great country

I can only speak on Texas : In TDC any cat with a sex case on his jacket would be dealt with immediately by his own people. And trust that the guards would throw them to the wolves even before they hit the facility.

9:44 he said “I’m walking in there as a man, I’m gonna be walking out as a man..” 🙄 Okay dude. You’re a C.O.!! That’s something convicts say, usually referring to the possibility of getting “graped”, & their willingness to do anything to prevent that from happening.
That phrase is something he has heard an inmate say & he thought “that’s pretty cool, I think I’ll try saying that too from now on.” Nobody’s trying to grape a C.O. foo.
Not saying he’s a goofy guy, but it was a goofy moment when he said that.
