  • After finishing high school, Ryan Thayer decided to work for his father's construction company. Fueled by his ambition, Ryan decides to expand, taking on more clients and jobs than he could handle. It didn't take long for him to hit cash flow issues, causing him to engage in fraudulent transactions with insurance companies. Railroaded by the Justice System, Ryan is sentenced to several years in the PA State Prison System and finds himself in a Supermax facility.

Exactly. Having seen the accounting side of construction, I knew immediately what happened. Either he bid his projects too low and didn't leave enough room or he was spending too much outside of his business. There's no way he didn't know what he was doing was right. Either way, he screwed people over.

He tells Ian he just kept working, in reality it was the exact opposite. He gave this convoluted response, that gave no answer to what he did. He would literally get paid to start a job, then he wouldn't finish it. Then move on to the next family and do the same. That's all he had to say. Giving all this info about adjusters and inspectors is a load of shit trying to confuse listeners. Guess he doesn't realize people can just look up what he really did? 🤦‍♂️

Ya all you gotta do is read the judges description on how his father acted in court and the statements made to the judge and you’ll see where the son gets it from. The judge stated he did not think the elder Thayer was not remorseful at all and would stare at the the victims in court and stated the company he started in the early 90s was more his sons than his, and that it was in his wife’s name, even though he would collect checks from victims and take them on tours of previous work they did to convince them to work with them.
He can’t take any accountability for his actions, you know what they say, like father like son.
