    Philadelphia: The Great Experiment
In 1681, William Penn was granted a tract of land in the New World. Learn how he took that swath of uncharted land populated by foreign Native American tribes and organized it into areas that we still recognize today.

Shout out to my Great Great Grandfather Edmund E Hatton, owner and self taught builder of the Hatton House in Chester County Pa

My Great Great Quaker Grandfather named Edmund E Hatton purchased William Penn’s old house in Berwyn Pa in the early 1900s and remodeled it to house his 13 children. Out of those 13 children my Great Grandfather named Oliver Hatton “married” my black Great Grandmother in the 1920s. Since they were the first interracial couple on the Main Line my Great Grandfather’s relationship was not fully accepted back then. Forward until today, I’m a 49yo black male that went to Hillside, Devon, T/E and Conestoga and never been around the white Hattons. Besides the mixed Hattons, I got to meet Mathew Hatton of Berwyn in 2004 when he was 88. He died 4 months later. One day I wish to learn more about my family, Quakers and 1208 Old Lancaster Ave. 😆

Philadelphia...what brothers mean now...and what did love ever mean...shameful...most pennsylvanians deem it to dangerous to travel to....
Despite not having any native american tribe.
Now class...what group of brothers or natives if you will.....occupy the entire area if the original area philadelphia....
I need you real historians on this baffler! Why no commerce...has a rogue tribe run out settlers...and also other "weary" travelers....
Philly get your shit under control...shameful...
