This is the first twin bed rv I've seen and I love it. Since I sleep like a fish out of water, this gives me room and is not too disturbing for the other. One thing I would love in this would be; extra large window in the kitchen, a large one in the bedroom, long window over the toilet and 2 more opening windows in the sides of the slide out. Do appreciate the larger propane tanks, they simply look like they belong to an rv and not a bbq. These make us boon dockers do the happy dance up north here, not to forget those who like longer stays at campgrounds in cooler weather. I love this floorplan. For me a camper needs to hit two possible trips. The "Couples Campout" and the "Three Man Dude Weekend." This is perfect for both of those, someone will wind up on the dropdown dinette or an air mattress, but it works.
Of all the twin bed trailers out there this is my favorite for under 4500lbs dry weight. I don't need a F350 to tow. My Ford Ranger with towing package will work just fine. The twin axle is a bonus. I really like the idea of the sofa, but as a bed it blocks the hallway to the bathroom. So, it's the dinette for me. Love the off-grid package with the high efficiency appliances. Easy upgrade to make that even better.

This model with twin beds and reasonable boondocking capability would work well for a couple of brothers or sisters or friends to use as a hunting/fishing/hiking/etc. basecamp.
I've been looking for a twin bed with upgraded solar and this one nailed 95% of my wish list. If it had no slide and an outdoor frig it would check every box. Always have to compromise, eh?
FINALLY! Somebody made my perfect camper! *sigh*. That isn't to say if I bought this, I wouldn't be doing some customizing, ya know? But it's almost perfect. I've got a sweet design for putting solid walls and wardrobes in the sleeping section......
the split king option is what makes this great, forget the tiny dual foam child's beds you have to have a real innerspring mattress. truma over dometic is another bonus. my 2108 has a vent over the bed and this doesn't which is odd, i live 6 months in the desert with this trailer off grid and a max vent over the bed is better than aircon and all that's needed. i installed 600w and 3000w inverter charger and never use a gas genny anymore.
Wow ! That's an impressive Winnebago towable. The bathroom is impressive with the storage and a sofa option is nice in that type slide. The twin to king bed is genius in my opinion. The solar sounds like an amazing system .
That's really sweet. Considering all that solar and quality the price is pretty good too. Too bad that sofa option is still in a slide out. Definitely put an accessory mount option for a table/grill station. I really like this and the shorter bed doesn't really bothered because I'm short. You could always add a longer mattress to just one side if needed. Very cool.
Would love to see more RVs with twins under 30ft. Maybe a top 5 video? I need 2 beds without using dinette. So having to look at bunks - but they are usually too long which limits park access. On this one, love the truma but no oven is a deal breaker. Thanks again Josh!
Omitted from the presentation is the side solar connector. This charge controller is rated to accept up to 600 watts solar input meaning the customer can plug in up to 220 watts portable solar panel for boondocking or compensating for a shady camp site. This is a great floor plan and well executed.
I have only seen a few since I have had the ability to start covering them again but I’ve been very happy with what I’ve seen. I will continue to rank them among the better fit and finish things that I’ve seen
Thanks Josh. Looks like Winnebago beat Rockwood/Flagstaff to the dual axle market with an off grid inverted/solar electrical system. King of surprises me actually.
Finally!! Twin beds! Good floor plan, it has everything I would need. It would be great if they came up with accessories for the port towards the rear. It would be great to have a table to put a grill on, some hooks to hang tools off the side while cooking. Excellent. I hope this becomes really popular and we see more manufacturers offering similar. The pass through storage is amazing. Is it accessible from the inside? -as in, do the beds lift? I really see nothing negative offhand. I'll have to take a closer look at this one.
This not my cup of tea, but I appreciate what it brings. Twin bed/king bed conversion. I do think it is a great option for friends traveling together or single parent. My 15 pound cat would take over one of the beds. Lol.Like what the flex model gives you. And no radius shower! Yay! Thanks, Josh for another awesome video!
Am I crazy? My wife and me have looked at this model before, but kind of didn't like the lack of hanging storage. Would be awesome if the slide could be....drum roll.....a big closet. Double sliding doors (like you have at home) with hanging and a bunch of storage. We try to eat outside as much as possible, and we could just get two TV trays and sit at the end of the bed to eat if it was raining outside. So we would rather have the storage than the dinette/sofa option. You kind of get your own personal sofa with the twin bed! If it had hanging storage, this model would appeal to more folks.
Wow. I’m impressed! This is one of the first rvs I’ve seen that is done right! The only comment I have is I’d prefer all Victron components including battery monitor and controller. As is this will work but no wheee as good as it could be. It would be nice if Winnebago had a third option to upgrade to Victron! Love azdel, and Truma components.
Twin beds are pretty rad, opens it up for lots of different families. Glad to see Winnie back... do miss that crazy high gloss skin (but not the crazy colors 😜). Thanks Josh!
@@JoshtheRVNerd Admittedly the Blueberry and Champaign were to my liking, but I'm just not confident enough to tow around the Cherry Bomb or Orange Fanta! 😆
Takes a hefty inverter and it will have a hefty draw on the battery reserve so it needs to be used in moderation Great for “moochdocking” off an extension cord at a family members house
Love to see more twin bed floor plans. They have so much more flexibility and a great use of floor space. Really would like to see your thoughts on the vista/vintage cruiser 23TWS if you get back to the Iowa location.
Nice trailer by Winnebago. A little to small for my tast but I'm sure it will be a good seller. Hope to see more Winnebago walk thru's in the future, including the Voyage line.
Good review. We owned a 2018 2106FBS and were satisfied with it. Basically it is the queen bed/couch version of this floor plan. I think the couch will give you more floor space as you only need the table out when you are eating. In fact we stopped using the table early on and went to TV tray tables as these did not take up space when only one person wanted to use a table. I don't like the change to the pantry door. Earlier versions had the door on the front which made the items more accessible. With the side opening it will be hard to see and reach things in the back. Other than that I think they've done a good job on interior storage, the drawers in particular. We did like the bathroom layout. I am of average height and found the shower roomy and tall enough not to worry about hitting my head. The sink could be a little tight but not to the point it wasn't workable. With only the one wardrobe it might be a little tight for two people but the FLX 2108DS or 2108FBS would have that if hanging space is a concern. I'm undecided on the pocket door vs the swing door we had in ours. As you say the interior fit and finish is better than most of the other brands out there. One other thing is Winnebago is supposed to be a premium trailer brand. With that in mind I don't understand why they haven't gone to roller shades over the pleated ones. I could not tell from your video as it wasn't in it but the holding tank vent by the ladder is a hard to find leak point. In ours and others from that time period the cap was partially on the channel used to fasten the roof to the back wall. They would Dicor the area but the sealant never fully filled the area under the channel lip and flange allowing water in and onto the ceiling over the wardrobe. Because it was such a small amount coming in at a time it took a couple of years to show up. We weren't the only owners to see this. The fix is to trim the cap to sit flush on the roof then seal the area where the meet. I told Winnebago about it at the time but don't know if they ever did anything about the problem. I haven't had a chance to see the Ember yet but I think the 201FBQ currently has the edge over the Winnebago in this space though not by much.

I keep coming back to this video. I really love this model. Looking for something smaller to tow with our ford ranger with max tow. Something smaller and easier to get around with than our Cougar and one ton truck.
Its really cool that winnebago is putting truma heating and cooling equipment into more and more of their products. Everything I have seen from them is really well designed and engineered. Their focus on efficiency is something that is sorely needed in the RV space. I really like the minnie flx but I would personally prefer the murphy bed floor plan. My only complaint is that the charge controller is pretty much maxed out and I would want to add more solar.
That 30 amp MPPT charge controller can handle up to 600 watts of solar. It comes with 380 watts of rooftop solar. That means you can add 220 watts more - either rooftop or plug in a portable panel. .....if I'm not mistaken.
@@thebrucewagner for the 2023 season Gopower improved their 190w panels to 200w as well. So 400w now with the ability to add a 3rd panel if there's room
Josh, another great review...I a little biased we bought the 2108TB non flex. The layout is great and functional for couples and family, my son and I went away atving and it worked great. Were boon docking this model with an updated group 31 battery will be interesting to see how battery life lasts. Were in Canada and the uplift to the flex at almost $20k, hard to justify. Keep up the great reviews.
I can't wait until Midea gets into making roof mounted AC for campers. We installed one of their U shaped in our bedroom this summer. It's 8K BTU, uses about 700W, has built in dual inverter tech which means it basically has a soft start built in, and costs 400 bucks. If they could make a 12K BTU roof unit, it might go for a little over $1K, use about 1200W, and not require a soft start.
Quick question, Josh: Is it possible to do these reviews with the A/Cs running? I know it is more difficult to connect all these trailers to shore power but it would be helpful to hear what the interior sounds like with the A/Cs running. Thank you.
Great review, as always. Unfortunately, they did in fact cheap out on the spare tire (and rim). That’s not a Goodyear Wrangler. It’s a much cheaper Westlake.

Just wanted you to know, I stopped in the Bish’s in Blue Grass Iowa the other day and I was very surprised they didn’t know who you were. I understand you work out of Michigan, but still, you’re pretty famous in the R.V. world.
Before watching this video, I was wondering if the FLX is worth the extra cost. Thanks for explaining the battery and solar setup. The battery/solar system is what makes the FLX level worth paying extra for. I hope they offer the 1708FB in the FLX level. Just me and my dog so the 1708FB FLX would be perfect. I am a big Airstream fan, but Winnebago is just as good but for a lower price point.
Depending on the price it isn’t that bad. The graphics package on the front I’m not a huge fan. I would also prefer the nice stairs that fold up rather then in. But great little machine fore someone that wants to go back country camping if it can handle more off road. I am single but I like to camp with friends so it’s great to have the twin beds for that option. Or to be able to take my nieces or nephews.
Hey Josh. Been watching your posts for several years and feel you give the best unbiased reviews on the net. Keep it up. Thank you for another awesome video - Another serious contender for our next trailer. Perhaps I missed it, but how does the water management system work?
RV designers so be taking a closer look at all the mods people are making to their RV’s. I think they would have a better idea of what buyers (full time and weekend warriors) really want. There is a lot of consistency to the mods, for example, induction two burners and ninja style oven instead of the gas set up currently found in most RV’s. More options for twin beds, there are a lot of single rv’ers of a certain age, that would love to have space for a family member to stay over night while visiting in their area. You should take a look at what “Two Tired Teachers” did to the Winnie Minnie. I also have a friend who converted her queen bed to a single and gave her so much more living space in her RV. I have a Forest River Mini Lite 2205s and am trying to figure out how to convert mine to a twin bed set up.
Im surprised on the fit and finish ugliness underneath the trailer and the water sealant on top. Awesome trailer, just small oversights with the construction.

This is a really nice camper. I love the twin bed.
Want! Just have to decide between sofa or dinette.
I've been looking for a twin bed with upgraded solar and this one nailed 95% of my wish list. If it had no slide and an outdoor frig it would check every box. Always have to compromise, eh?
I think that’s what my wife tells her self every time she wakes up and sees me lol
I agree completely, no slide with a narrower dinette and a narrow two-burner stove top to increase counter top space would be perfect!
Love this! U-dinette would make it perfect!! ❤️
Neat RV. definitely for the single person/single parent. I love the boon docking options for this one.
Are there Minnie Winnie’s that have the same boon docking features but in a larger, couple camper version?
I love my 2108TB. Smart design for me. That solar would be great.
Nice bed...set up...
FINALLY! Somebody made my perfect camper! *sigh*. That isn't to say if I bought this, I wouldn't be doing some customizing, ya know? But it's almost perfect. I've got a sweet design for putting solid walls and wardrobes in the sleeping section......
Love this one! Really checks the boxes for State park or boondock camping
the split king option is what makes this great, forget the tiny dual foam child's beds you have to have a real innerspring mattress. truma over dometic is another bonus. my 2108 has a vent over the bed and this doesn't which is odd, i live 6 months in the desert with this trailer off grid and a max vent over the bed is better than aircon and all that's needed. i installed 600w and 3000w inverter charger and never use a gas genny anymore.
Split king is such a great way to say that
Ty
Now that’s the cats meow. The company needs to send you to the huge RV show which is coming up in Europe.
I’d be willing
Very few twin bed options out there but I will watch
Awesome! Love the couch opt.Thanks
Omitted from the presentation is the side solar connector. This charge controller is rated to accept up to 600 watts solar input meaning the customer can plug in up to 220 watts portable solar panel for boondocking or compensating for a shady camp site. This is a great floor plan and well executed.
Ty for mentioning it. Didn’t realize I failed to say something
Yes! This is an important point.
Love this layout.
How is the quality of the Winnebago travel trailer these days.?
Thank you
David
I have only seen a few since I have had the ability to start covering them again but I’ve been very happy with what I’ve seen. I will continue to rank them among the better fit and finish things that I’ve seen
Very nice, like the kitchen, would like the couch and queen bed options.
Josh your baby floor plan came back too the store Yea!
Yup yup
Thanks Josh. Looks like Winnebago beat Rockwood/Flagstaff to the dual axle market with an off grid inverted/solar electrical system. King of surprises me actually.
I hear Rockwood is expanding their solar package to their larger models soon. I kind of figured that would happen
@@JoshtheRVNerd Yeah, they kind of have to now. I remember commenting why they started only on the single axle lineup. This is all good Josh.
Finally!!
The beds don't lift, but there are doors under both to access the storage.
@Sallianne I noticed that later! Duh me!
Beds don’t lift on struts but the decking under the mattress can lift off
Josh that's an easy fix!
My pleasure. Always nice to see you :)
Remove the items and hang a clothes rod. Problem solved.
@@roynoccorina5022 not the same as a enclosed closet
I prefer to have my tv closer to the bed area but other than that I love this one...
Love the twin bed setup! Wish the kitchen was a little bigger and no slide.
Thx Tim
As always EXCELLENT review 👏
Twin beds are pretty rad, opens it up for lots of different families. Glad to see Winnie back... do miss that crazy high gloss skin (but not the crazy colors 😜). Thanks Josh!
I actually always loved those color packages
@@JoshtheRVNerd Admittedly the Blueberry and Champaign were to my liking, but I'm just not confident enough to tow around the Cherry Bomb or Orange Fanta! 😆
@@mildmannerededc I called the orange “pumpkin spice minnie”
I think a TV style mount table leg in between the beds would be nice .
I could see that
Excellent camper!! Didn't know an inverter could run A/C and Microwave!!! Wow. No windows in sides of slide out. A-
Takes a hefty inverter and it will have a hefty draw on the battery reserve so it needs to be used in moderation
Great for “moochdocking” off an extension cord at a family members house
Practically perfect. Love this unit.
This is the exact model that Traveling Robert calls minitini 3. This is a boondockers dream camper.... pretty cool.
That’s right I forgot he swapped away from his 1800
Wow, great video and value. The minnie for us.
Glad you liked it!
Love to see more twin bed floor plans. They have so much more flexibility and a great use of floor space. Really would like to see your thoughts on the vista/vintage cruiser 23TWS if you get back to the Iowa location.
I will see about getting a few of those next visit
Thank you so much for sharing especially as an owner of a pretty similar camper
Pretty nice rig
🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 *WOW* !! *LOVE the twin/king conversion in this Micro Minnie* !! *This little flexible Winnebago is beautiful* !! *GREAT NEW off-grid traveler* !! #JoshTheRVNerdAtBishsRV 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
Truma stuff seems great. Not the cheapest but good stuff
I like the FLX features but I like the non-FLX price lol :)
Awesome for deer hunting!
Love this one
I can't wait until Midea gets into making roof mounted AC for campers. We installed one of their U shaped in our bedroom this summer. It's 8K BTU, uses about 700W, has built in dual inverter tech which means it basically has a soft start built in, and costs 400 bucks. If they could make a 12K BTU roof unit, it might go for a little over $1K, use about 1200W, and not require a soft start.
Haven’t heard of them. Ty
Quick question, Josh: Is it possible to do these reviews with the A/Cs running? I know it is more difficult to connect all these trailers to shore power but it would be helpful to hear what the interior sounds like with the A/Cs running. Thank you.
I love the idea what logistically it is not currently an option
Great video.
TY Mary :)
Great review, as always. Unfortunately, they did in fact cheap out on the spare tire (and rim). That’s not a Goodyear Wrangler. It’s a much cheaper Westlake.
Loving the twin beds . Reason I was looking at airstream was for twin beds but this one has me thinking 🤔. Would’ve liked to see more windows . Also giggled when you were up too and of course an earwig was crawling by ac unit . Can’t get away from those dang things with this dry weather .
Man the bugs this year have been like nothing I've ever seen around here
@@JoshtheRVNerd #truth , we are under storm warning here in Freeland . I just went out to pull patio cushions and of course million earwigs all underneath them . Maybe bugs know something we don’t . Keep posting videos , love them .
Great rig. A skylight or front windshield window would have been nice but not a deal breaker. 👍
Ty
Just wanted you to know, I stopped in the Bish’s in Blue Grass Iowa the other day and I was very surprised they didn’t know who you were. I understand you work out of Michigan, but still, you’re pretty famous in the R.V. world.
Sorry where?? We have a store near center point/Urbana and one in Eldridge near Davenport in Iowa
Awesome job Winnebago 👍 they should do two things, increase tank size and build all of them on the 25 foot floor length like the bunk house version
Yeah it’s a really involved package of upgrades. I was impressed the more I dig into it
Depending on the price it isn’t that bad.
Does this have a fiberglass roof?
No it does not
Hey Josh. Been watching your posts for several years and feel you give the best unbiased reviews on the net. Keep it up. I am considering a purchase an am somewhat torn between the Rockwood 2204s and the Winnebago 2108tb. Have owned a rockwood 2104 and like the quality but am really interested in the lighter weight winnebago. Would appreciate your thoughts on the two. Does winnebago structural quality stand up to the rockwook? Thanks. Wayne
I’ve always felt they do but recent responses from owners have me thinking Rockwood deserves the nod
@@JoshtheRVNerd thanks. That helps. It's hard to consider anything after you have owned a Rockwood.
I have the non flx one and wish I would of gotten the flx one. Otherwise a great trailer.
I'm impressed with the interior. The style and color of wood and seating. What's the minimum vehicle towing capability?
GVWR is 5500lbs
Thank you for the continued awesome vids! Especially the monthly updates!
If you get the opportunity, I'm interested in getting a deep video like this on the Sandstorm 186 Travel Trailer Toy Hauler. I'm debating between the 186 or a 190RT when I get a trailer in the next year or two.
Would love to see a factory tour of the Winnebago facility!
I wish I could do it. They won’t let outside sources to record in their facilities
Ah yes, the part time custody camper..
Very nicely equipped for off grid.. very nice
Even though that’s exactly what I described I had never considered it in those words. It sounds very different that way…
Thank you for another awesome video - Another serious contender for our next trailer.
Maybe this can serve as some inspiration m.ua-cam.com/video/NwT8T1Wjb7w/v-deo.html
This trailer is a home run.
Im surprised on the fit and finish ugliness underneath the trailer and the water sealant on top. Awesome trailer, just small oversights with the construction.
This is a perfect size for me
☺
Do you know the the BTU on the A/C because I can not find it on their website?
I believe 13.5k with these which should be more than enough in that small space
@@JoshtheRVNerd I also noticed it wasn’t ducted like the regular micro mini. Do we know why they decided to go that route?
@@TheRangerman00 that I don’t know. I would only estimate that air unit isn’t compatible with the ducting they already used
