This is the micromini 2108FBS there’s an awesome travel trailer that has two axles and it is an amazing quality what I love about Winnebago is that all of their units are built the same and they all look absolutely fantastic, especially in the smaller segment of travel trailers. If you’re in the market for a small travel trailer, that’s easier to talk than the Winnebago micro mini might be the right unit for you.

We owned the predecessor to this model the 2106FBS which we liked alot. It had the sofa as opposed to dinette. After it was totaled we looked at the 2108FBS but did not like the changes. They need to return to the enclosed cabinets above the bed. We also do not like the pocket door as it makes an already tight sink area worse and creates a way for splashed water to go down the side where you cannot reach it to wipe it up. We also preferred the pantry with a front door as it is pretty deep and will be hard to reach the back from the door end.
We would also prefer a full range. My understanding is there are dealer kits that can be used to convert to a full range but I would rather have a factory option so it is covered under the warranty. We also do not like the removal of the range vent hood. I would be willing to pay a little more for a residential style convection microwave with built in vent to get one back. They moved the flip up counter extension from our 2018 and I like the position better. The old was right in front of the door. By moving it to the front of the cabinet it makes for a little bit more room to get in and out when in use.
A like is the addition of the wardrobe on the camp side of the bed. While this is probably one of the best smaller floorplans for wardrobe space with the large wardrobe in the bathroom having one convenient to the door for coats and jackets in great.
We also like the addition of electric stabilizer jacks.
I am about 5'9" and found the shower comfortable to use but agree folks much over six feet would have problems with the height.
You have no choice on the step up booth as it has to clear the wheel wells. It is the reason we went with a model that had the sofa. It fits better and we substituted oversize TV tables which allowed us to save space when only one of us needed a work table.

I have a 2021 2306 BHS. I am on my third AC, one was replaced under warranty. When I replaced it on my nickel, I got rid of that junk GE and had a Dometic put in. The BAL frame, Dexter torsion axils, and trailer
framing have been good so far. The switches
on the stabilizer jacks go bad. The thermofoil
cabinets and table top are horrible. Plumbing
is bad. Any leak from the bad plumbing and the
cabinets dissolve. My thermofoil table top just
popped off. The roof membrane had air bubbles
right from the dealer's lot. My very lightly used
camper stays under a cover, and the sun never hits it when it is not in use. The people at Winnebago who put these together absolutely do not care about quality.

    2020, 2208 FBS, 37k miles
    Run don't walk away.
Slide is unsupported while traveling and failed the wall. Winnebago says "you added bike rack on rear bumper which is not approved, so warranty is viod"
Get rid of the AT tires, they squirm on the highway. After finally replacing trailer pulls perfect.

Major dislike - No AC/DC or USB on both sides of bed. I have a 2021 Micro Minnie and it was power on both sides of bed.

Purchased a Winnebago micro Minnie 1 year ago, nothing but problems with it. We went to use it after it had already been in for service several times. While it was still in the 1 year warranty period we traveled to the beach, we’ll guess what another issue, the slide out would not open, we called Winnebago and they said as long as we are not stuck and it can be driven we need to bring it for service. Well we lost our week at the beach. Service took from May to August to have repaired. Basically the season. We reached out to Winnebago to see if they would extend out warranty and they offered to consider any issues we may have for 4 months. Well 4 months is the winter season when it is stored. I must say even that have no confidence in their product! I even reached out to a manager and no better resolution. I would not recommend Winnebago in any way shape or form. We would give a no star rating to Winnebago period!
Be forewarned on purchasing their product. Not a quality product to say the least! Will be advising everyone on the disappointing and terrible product Winnebago produces

The squeaky gate just seems funny at first. But imagine you're a customer trying to look at RVs and you hear that constant fingernails on the chalkboard screech, you're just going to want to get away from that annoying dealership.
Why do motorhomes have powered steps and towables manual steps.

No power outlets in the dinette area, not even one? Why can't manufactures get that right. Even some of the lower end Winnebagos have a power outlet in the dinette area. That is a must have and models that don't have that are just a waste. Do they not understand they missing out on a rapidly growing number of people that are using these for long term living? Especially people that have travel to new locations every few months. You have to have a place to plug your pc/laptop in when using the dinette for a work stations.
Oh good lord, not even a power outlet in the kitchen area. Yeah, at this price point, they better have outlets in logical locations. This model is not well thought out for practical living. If you can't even plug in a coffee maker in the kitchen area, it's not even short term camping ready as far as I'm concerned.
And no max fans standard at the price point. This thing is not a good investment. Don't even waste your time showing something like this that isn't live in ready.

An off-grid travel trailer requires more than 31 gallons of fresh water. Unless you're only going for a couple of days. By yourself.
I enjoy your videos, but this is not a good representation of an off-grid trailer.

It's better than most but fully agree on tank sizes. My way around the fresh water would be a 30 or 60 gal. water bladder in the back of my p/u.

They use to be 42 gallons. Still not huge but better. We always found the 25 gallon grey tank to be our limiting factor unless you are going to forgo indoor showers.

Hi Matt and Wil! I think for a small travel trailer it’s nice. My dislikes are no solid steps and the step up to the dinette. Those are my dislikes and my likes are the cabinetry no wall separating bedroom. Nice open space. Those are my likes. Thank you Matt and Wil!

I like the compressor fridge, but I’m curious why they put the standard RV absorption fridge vents on the outside???

    • @oldengineer1519
      @oldengineer1519 Рік тому

Probably so they didn't have to change the cutouts and to cut costs. The fridge has not change locations since the 2106FBS which had an absorption fridge with a lower wall vent and roof vent.

How tall are ceilings? Also, you keep showing his and your placement in things/rooms/bathrooms, but we do not know your height or ceiling height of this trailer. How tall are each of you so we see difference in height etc. in different areas. I do like the cabinets to hang clothing on each side of bedroom bed. How long is table that converts to bed? It looks small, like only a child could sleep there on that fold down bed as it seems short in length. Would be nice to have 2 solar panels instead of one. Bed mattress does not look comfy, so doesn't look like you'd get good nights sleep. Is there upgraded mattress/and cost for that? How big is awning outside trailer? Thank you.

I love the Micro Minnie line as I intend to be more "off pavement" The steps are actually better for this. Does not have to be on perfect level ground for the steps to make contact. One thing missing is the kitchen...no option for a real oven ALSO where's the "HOOD RANGE"????? I would see it in a budget model but not a Winnebago product.
Another dislike is the TV placement.....slide has to be open to watch, when traveling it's often not possible or wise to open the slide. I wish they would increase tank capacities also.
Even with these problems the MM is my 1st choice, either the 1800 or 2100 Bunk House.....possibly even a FLX model.
BRING BACK THE OVEN......at least as a option!

    Love:
    1. tires
    2. tv placement / barn sink
    3. kitchen cabinets/ doors/ colors
    4. i don't care the kitchen counter space.. use the dinette to prep food.
    Hate:
    1. no power on the left side of the bed
    2. very small convection microwave
    3. stepps to inside.. too thin and flimsy
