I haven't been this happy since river boat Ron started. Even more so with the mentality of this coach, he seems to know how to communicate with the team and resonate with them. They got rid of Johnson the moment he started to be toxic again, none of that in the Carolinas. Now our start can go to all pieces that don't start with QB
Great year from Canales, I agree with his decision to bench Bryce early in the season, it was the right decision for the team at the time, and I think the time away was beneficial for Bryce, more so than if he’d stayed the starter. The culture is changing in Charlotte, Canales and Bryce are big reasons for it. Keep Pounding!
They had 9 of the 11 starters for several weeks straight towards the end of the season and were still performing terribly. Worst defense in NFL history is a wild statistic. Both in points allowed and rushing yards allowed. Idk, it’s kind of surprising to see him given another shot considering the historic nature of how bad they were. I did like Eviro before the season though so maybe with the right guys it can be turned around.

I feel everyone has valid points for this argument. The guys play hard for evero. I think Dan and Dave will ask him to adjust his scheme a bit which he will. He knows he's on the hot seat next year but we have to re-set the precedent that all we do is fire coaches after 1 yr. Yes I know this Evero's 2nd year but it's his 1st with coach C. I'm happy we are re-evaluating how the panthers conduct business and treat our players and coaches. Watch...mark my word. We may not win a lot of games this year but I see improvement every week. All thanks to Tepper he finally made the right call by hiring Dave Canale as our HC and that’s our biggest win this year. Canale made the right decision by benching BY and everyone and myself thought he was a busst. I think Frank rushed him on his rookie year, he needed that time to set back and learn from a vet like Dalton. He’s got confidence now and all thanks to Canale. Trust the process, I believe Canale and Dan are gonna turn things around in Carolina. Keep pounding🖤💙
Evero is a great defensive coordinator. The Panthers lead the NFL in roster moves because of all the injuries. If the team was somewhat healthy probably could have made a playoff run. They had to use practice squad players, undrafted free agents players who were on the waiver wire. As long as they stay healthy next season I can see them in playoff contention
Since Ejiro is so great why did Ejiro’s defense give up the most rushing yards and points in the history of the nfl. Those stats don’t back up your argument.

Not one single nfl caliber player and you expect the dc to somehow do something with that? You could assemble all the greatest defensive minds in nfl history and they wouldn't do shit with that defense. All we've done since evero has been here is take talent away from his defense and replace them with subpar pieces and then the remaining talent gets injured and replaced with xfl players. Don't get me wrong i get that we had to lose those players on defense to have the money to fix the offense but that's all the more reason to give him another year so we can actually have an off season of building the defense like we did on offense last year. If they still underperformed after we have actual nfl talent then we can fire him
I have to disagree, because even when the team was healthy the team got 42 point put up on them against the saints. Even when the majority played the defense still allowed rushing 200yds to happen.
The defense gave up 179yds per game no matter who was on the field. Before you injuries this injuries that injuries happen it’s the nfl. Our defense has more weapons than a lot of nfl defenses but we still played statistically worse than any other team.
We should consider this a successful season. Didnt finish last. Finished strong. And it looks like we have our HC and QB and front office. Been a fan from day 1 .. Glad we have an offseason that we can look forward to next season. I was leaning toward Evero not coming back based on the performance of the defense so hope this move does not come back to bite us.
Next season will be a much better campaign for the Panthers. The important thing for this year was to just compete hard, adapt to challenges and give 100%, and I thought they did that. Go into this off-season, rest up, then begin training hard, hit the weight room and get ready to attack next season with a vengeance. We can only go up from here. The decline is over.
I DO NOT because he (and Tepper) make religion way too much a part of the locker room vibe. It is embarassing that the franchise I love allows the "franchise QB" to speak about his personal religious beliefs in post-game press conferences, week day pressers, and sideline interviews. That is totally inappropriate for those settings. I would like someone to tell BY that team sponsored media is not the time to preach to reporters / the world about faith. We simply do not care BY. I love the devil lol no I am an atheist. This team is going to aleinate fans who love football because it is becoming a creepy cult environment.
Dave has just been amazing. I remember the Matt Rhule days I would listen to his press conferences. I couldn’t ever get over his used car salesman act. I always thought he was trying to sell me on something rather then just laying a case out there to describe how the facts pertain to his situation. He would just give us really political answers with a bunch of keywords we the fans wanted to hear. Then Frank comes along and gave good press conferences until around week 4. He started to become shell shocked. His hair grew more and more white each interview as he just cowered in front of the media and resorted to self preservation. He would talk about the Mondays meetings with Tepper as the worst thing in the world because you knew he didn’t have the balls to stand there and be straight with him. He couldn’t look Tepper in the eye and tell him this was going to take a while because he was hired to turn things around quickly. Dave’s been able to stand 10 toes down with the media. He’s been able to be honest with the Teppers, and Be honest with us to a degree he speaks from the heart and It shows a lot about his character. He’s the kind of guy who can take the worst job in the NFL and run with it. He is who we needed.

Now answer this do you think D brown, 2 rookies and 2 mid tier fa make this defense jump from worse to a top 15 defense? I don’t.

DB and Shaq were the only two who went down for the season. As far as the guys that left, they left because they didn’t care for Ejiro scheme. He brought guys in that fit his system. They all were garbage excluding ashawn. What about his lack of adjustments during the game. Let’s not forget the defense was bad against the run last year with better personnel and also the defense was bad in the red zone as well. Also injuries come with the game you still don’t allow what the panthers put on tape defensively. The only thing Ejiro has done in the sport is coached the worst defense in NFL.
