A successful, wealthy businessman, Wesley Deeds (Tyler Perry) has always done what's expected of him, whether it's assuming the helm of his father's company, tolerating his brother's misbehavior at the office or planning to marry his beautiful but restless fiancée, Natalie (Gabrielle Union). But Wesley is jolted out of his predictable routine when he meets Lindsey (Thandie Newton), a down-on-her-luck single mother who works on the cleaning crew in his office building. When he offers to help her get back on her feet, the chance encounter with someone so far outside his usual circle ignites something in Wesley. I love when she calls him out about knowing how Much a gallon of milk costs. That was real and eye opening.

When Wesley (Tyler) was dancing in his dining room and he was dressed down for casual Friday which he NEVER does that was a great scene. Seeing his girl being confused was something.
I could relate living in car with my children and listening to people judging me. They all assumed I had family who could watch my children. I had some family but they were drug addicts, pedophiles, or worked just like I had to work. What kind of mother would leave their children alone to work? A desperate one struggling to at least be able to feed her children. Not everyone have children while poor. Sometimes shit just happens and screw up your life. Now my children are more successful than I ever was. None of them has ever been to jail nor on drugs or drunk. Instead of child services using money to pay foster care to care for the children, they could give that money to the struggling parents to pay for child care and rent. That's real help. Thankfully I was able to have some Mr Deeds along my journey who did that for me instead of calling child services. Help keep families together instead of separating them. I thank all the Mr. Deeds who were in my life that made it possible for my children to be able to stay with me and succeed in life. ♥️
Tyler Perry is doing well for himself ! He has come a long way and I continue to be proud of his success !

Yes. Just now watching this on Amazon Prime. Such a touching movie. I had a stroke almost three years ago. Lost my job and apartment. I had to live in a homeless shelter. I was so terrified. I can't imagine having to watch my back and my daughters. Thandie Newton is a fine actress. I'm going to purchase a copy to remind me where God has brought me from.👏👏👏👏
I loved this movie so much! It taught a lot of lessons. However, it was kind of sad because my mom and I faced homelessness that same year. We were evicted from our apartment and we stayed at Penn Station in Newark. This movie was one of Tyler’s best idc. His movies may be generic but they are realistic in the Black community because his movies relate to me. I faced homelessness, I had a cousin on drugs, some people in my family suffered with infidelity, my family’s faith was tested and we were bent on numerous occasions. However, the people who complain about Tyler Perry are the people who never faced these issues in life. They may have they just probably don’t like to watch it, but, some days you have to face your problems head on and seek help and tell your story to many individuals. I say that because you can prevent these issues in your family. Tyler Perry was molested by his father which pushed him into making his films generic or such. Just saying!
Just saw this movie for the first time, absolutely a great movie. Tyler Perry's movies are phenomenal, he is amazing at what he does.

WoW 😍 Just caught this movie on Bounce & saw Tyler in shower sitting down like he was stressed & then Cps was taking her daughter at work & my tears started fallin😭 I love when they got off motorcycle & he apologized for doing 100 & she said it felt good or something & he was like yeah! That part when all in elevator & his brother is drunk & his mother sees her grab Tylers hand & his mother started crying! WoW! Love all his movies hes in😍👍✌
Tyler Perry writes and produces movie to challenge people's thoughts and view of themselves including the society that we live in. We have to work together to see change instead of working against to see nothing ever changes. He has wonderful cast and good story lines. We have to be open to learn and accept new things.

As I leave this comment I am in the Mist I'm looking at this movie on Bounce. The first time I seen or even heard of this movie was about two or three weeks ago and I have watched it this will be my third time. Never can catch it from the beginning. Because I am working and by the time I get home I will always catch it in the same place. Tonight I managed to see a little more of the beginning than before. Hopefully one of these days I can see the full movie. Better yet maybe I can see it on UA-cam. I am in love with this movie. Is based upon my life as well as many other females. Great movie

I saw this movie years ago and I couldn't for the life of me think of the name of it I always wanted to see it again Tyler Perry has done so many movies and so many things I couldn't figure out what movie it was I just caught it on VH1 I love this movie really really great movie but I forgot the ending and I was hoping she would go with him then the mother showed up I was like damn she can't show up now and get on the plane with him with the mother there it wouldn't be right so I was sort of thinking she might be on the plane before him sure enough that she was is this the first time you're flying coach and little adorable Ariel hi Mr Wesley what a good movie great ending❤❤❤❤
This is his best film. Don't really care for the others because they play into certain negative racial stereotypes.. I love seeing a strong, educated, moral, man of color save and love , and protect a woman of color. Yes he had a girlfriend or fiancé he thought he wanted and loved but he found what he needed for this soul. BEAUTIFUL

Out of all Tyler Perry movies I put Good Deeds as number 1, well put together movie without the Stereotyping of blacks, a very moving picture that can bring you to tears, thumbs up on Good Deeds.

The good deeds I can related to that movie its a was touching single parent life don't easy
So true. The single mom character reminds me of my mother, working as a housekeeper/custodian at a big corporation/department store and how her life changed when she met a touching man that could help her out.

EXCELLENT MOVIE! I give it two (2) thumbs up and five (5) stars! The storylines were good! Casting was on point! Everyone's performances were tight, everyone held their own and brought their "A" game! I especially enjoyed newcomer, Jordenn Thompson, the little girl who played Thandie Newton's daughter, Ariel. That little girl was amazing! Tyler Perry brought in this movie!

Not inject negativity into a comment section about such a positive & moving film but... how could 158 people dislike this film?? frankly it really breaks my heart & makes me fear for this world. Luckily the majority of people are good hearted & know common sense & morals but the fact that even one person could dislike a movie about helping others is profoundly disturbing. @TheTempleofEthan yes we do speak properly.Some people have low socioeconomic statuses.For me I spoke differently until I moved to a middle class area. It is an accent for the area.
As for his brother he was a giant a hole but everybody knew who the favorite son was and he probably slowly became that way because he didnt get as much love and support as wesley did and he didnt respect women because his own mother didnt respect him or even see him as a person let alone her own son
