Noddy Holder, what a great man, glad to see him looking better now. I love Slade, still listen to them on a regular basis, thank you Noddy and the band. 🍻👍👍👍
@@lackof548alternatively on a night out would you be far more interesting than Nod and have a lifetime of incredible Rock n Roll recollections to share?
Really interesting hearing how Don's drum parts for Merry xmas were put down. Just loved Slade in my youth...top band and THE best live band 'back in the day'. Great to hear of and see him looking well.
Really enjoy the interviews you do noddy. I remember all the great songs you did thank you for my teenage years. Hope you are better now. One more song please 🙏
Noddy so vibrant and energetic. Slade a glorious part of my childhood. My Oh My and Run Runaway two of my favourite songs ever. They weren't just a '70s band.
some time about now Noddy jets off to the Bahamas for a holiday paid for with his royalties, so he doesn't have to listen to THAT song for the next month like the rest of us
Roy did only get to 4. A forgotten fact is that Gary Glitter outsold Wizzard every week in December. Were it not for Merry Christmas Everybody I Love You Love Me Love would have been one of the few Christmas number ones to get to the top in November and stay there. Charts from December 1973 would now never be re-broadcast because the number one could not be played. Thank goodness for Slade!
Have you not considered that without the competition from Slade, Wizzard could have reached number one instead? Not everyone could afford, or perhaps had enough inclination, to buy two christmas songs. Many of the million + buyers would certainly have bought SOMETHING else if the Slade record hadn't been an option, and most of those had possibly already bought Glitter's record anyway.
Its not and never ever pronounced as Merry Xmas. Theres no such meaning explanation of Xmas as many believe and pronounced it. Saying Merry Xmas is to many showing only whats disrespect disregard ignorance to how its really said and pronounced. CHRISTMAS, MERRY CHRISTMAS. AND STILL MANY REFUSE TO ACCEPTED THAT KNOWLEDGE OF UNDERSTANDING CHRISTMAS FROM XMAS. YOU SEE THAT MANY STILL SAY AND PRONOUNCED MERRY XMAS FROM SAYING MERRY CHRISTMAS.
The disrespect started when the Christians co-opted a Northern European Pagan Winter festival and garnished it with their Jesus guff. Merry Xmas to you.
Люблю и слушаю эту группу, люблю Нодди уже более 50-и лет.

Noddy Holder….the sort of man you’d like to go for a drink down the local with and listen to his stories all night long
Not really.

Good luck noddy top man
Both Slade and Wizzard were giants of the 70's and I love both songs equally ... you just can't say that one is better than the other
I prefer Wizzard but not by much. Slade are more inconic, but not by much.
It's good to see, that Nod is still alive😉💪👏😎
Legend right there!

50 years of the Wizzard Christmas song as well
Indeed and Step into Christmas by Elton John. He talks about it in the full interview
See when it comes to Xmas I’m a Wizzard fan, this story major work
Noddy Holder is a great guy and Roy Wood is an r.sole.
Slade, the band that most influenced Kiss, and a true british institution, brought up with Slade, soooooo good
some time about now Noddy jets off to the Bahamas for a holiday paid for with his royalties, so he doesn't have to listen to THAT song for the next month like the rest of us
All three released in 73? Never knew that
Imagine the royalties
He talks about that too in the full version coming soon. Particularly streaming.
I know the royalties for November and December alone are over £1 million.
@@kennethdrewary1094 must be nice. Happy Xmas indeed

That's the title of the song as it was released.
Fairy Tail Of New York always Be The Best Christmas Song, Slade 2nd
Nope.
Is it true that Noddy is a big Emanuel Swedenborg fan?
Noddy Holder is now 77, born June 15, 1946 the day after Donald Trump,
The hits have dried up for Slade these days. They're over reliant on their back catalogue.

Why has Noddy never been knighted?
Ans: Because King Charles has got Big Ears! 😂🎉
He had the original Metal voice.... The best ever!
Wish they would stop playing those stupid Xmas songs same shit every year.
