Wonderful interview - could listen to Eddie for an hour no problem.
Love Noddy Holder such a lovely bloke, happy to see him in great health ... long live Noddy
I loved early doors. Two series were not enough. It left me wanting more.
🎉🎉🎉 special scouser
Cracking interview great song’s memories of the classic era what a really pair of genuine guys thanks for sharing this
To me 80s music represents absolute beauty, pure joy and opulence of life.
Amazing interview Amazing band and boss there from kikby
Eddie is proper Scouse looking ..... any Scouser will know what I mean
An absolutely awesome interview with noddy been a slade fan since 73 still have all my early records and play them occasionally deeply scratched of course but it doesn't matter one of the greatest bands of all time..💥⚡⚡💥
Que buen grupo China Crisis ! Sigo disfrutando su música ❤❤❤❤❤
I love Noddy and am so proud of him. He's a top bloke and a great Midlander. His accent is intact.
Another great interview. Nasher is a great lad.
Fantastic interview. Brilliant band. More like this please Snelly 😊
Chuck Berry got there first with the misspelling...Johnny B.Goode so Slade copied that,in my opinion.
Slade were the soundtrack to my teens.
A band I’ve always liked but surprisingly never been to see live. Must check out there tour schedule. Quick question to the fans who have seen them recently, do they do sound good?
I'd be very surprised if Eddie wasn't as nice in person as he comes across in the interview. Real heroes are the underrated yet understated ones.
pay the lads already!!!
C’mon Noddy, please write & record a few new songs & videos with Jim, Dave & Don while all 4 of you still can. It’s what every Slade fan wants to hear & see & will go straight to number 1! PLEEZE!!!
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
New one is so good 🎉🎉🎉
great to see this interview, top bloke
Noddy holder has the best rock voice ever and slade are the best rock band ever
When the actor who played Tommy died they'd asked him before if he wanted to be buried with his wife and he said "No thanks, I'll stay on my own"
Flaunt the Imperfection - 80s classic
Nod & Dave are both top blokes I just watched an interview with dave from 7 months ago and they both mirror what each other say . They both say they have loved their lives and their long time in Slade ..They have had a ball that's lasted their whole lives . Keep on rockin' lads 🎶👍 My first memory of slade was at school in 1973 age 12 , hearing their songs at the school and local disco's.Happy days
I was there in the audience in Oz Noddy. Best concert ever!!
Was, and remain, a fan. Saw them with Simple Minds (both were brilliant). Love the shout outs to Mick Karń and LFC (via the shirt). Great interview
This is brilliant.Love me some Noddy! So glad he made it through the cancer scare.Great interviewer too.
Fantastic! Thanks, Noddy and Tony. Been smiling since the beginning.
Smelly Nelly they call her
Do you like circuses?
Keep ya hands on ya hapeney
Crime won’t crack itself!
Noddy un mito lo adoro ❤❤❤
I adore early doors and have watched all episodes multiple times. It never fails!!! Some of the best comedy occurs in the exchanges between Jean and Winnie. 😂
This wasn’t a comedy, it was real life if you were ever in the north west, old dark wood, aluminium pressed out ashtrays, worn out Lino by the oche, how my early pubgoing was with all the characters recognised, like the seafood bloke Sally Army chuggers, and fella flogging Sergio Tachinni tracksuits and meat from in the same adidas bag….
It's good to see, that Nod is still alive😉💪👏😎
It make me so happy to see Nasher happy and healthy all these years later. He seems like a genuinely lovely guy ❤️
Noddy is a great interview
Who likes circuses then.
Loved this interview. The warmth of the two series is here too. I was lucky enough to catch this back in the day. Must've been up after 10 o'clock. I like the bit about you'd be worried if people didn't take the Mick! Definitely 😊 I rate people by whether I'd go for a pint with them. Wouldn't that be fab? Thanks fellas.
Proper talent, live the Crisis. Especially Wishful Thinking and Cristian, but so many great songs
I've loved China Crisis all my life I've also met Eddie and Gary they are fantastic people doing fantastic music.
Noddy is such a beautiful person. I just love his passion for life. I'd give anything to hear him sing afew bars of my oh my. The best.....bar none, pure rock voice. Better than plant, rogers, daltry. He has such a strong vocal, an absolute gift.
I totally agree.Nods voice is unique you only need to hear a few bars and is immediately recognisable. He comes across as just a really down to earth bloke. Top man Nod 👍🎶
Wow,i didn't even know Noddy was ill. So glad Jim and Noddy both survived cancer. Thay you for the great memories of great music.
Graduating in high school in the summer of 1986 in The Philippines, I remembered that that was the time that singles from Flaunt The Imperfection got radio airplay and the promo MTV videos got exposure from local TV (although Wishful Thinking was a big hit on Fliipino radio in 1984 thereabouts). Didn't buy the album then for lack of money but eventually took a CD only after 14 years after that graduation year. While concluding my college in 1991-95, I took a cassette of both Diary Of A Hollow horse and Arizona Sky, and I will remember the songs forever because of its "association" with the glorious and bittersweet college years which cannot be returned to or recaptured. Diary is the better album, Walter Becker-produced with more energizing songs than Arizona. If only I had a respectable hi-fi then, instead of a mere Sony radio-cassette player, these albums would've sounded notches better. I had also took a CD+DVD China Crisis combo set from Amazon.UK, forgot the title now as I can hardly listened to anymore to disk music due to raising family , and the DVD for that one contains a live concert that unfortunately was captured in a very dark theater or concert hall. Resolution though is good but the better DVD featuring the band, sonic-wise, would be the Liverpool concert. I took two DVD edition of Liverpool from different countries to check if one has a better picture, but no, its all the same. Wished concerts like that could be upgraded or remastered in blu ray. Lundon once said they had not imagined the band would lasts this long, and that he'd end up being a truck mechanic, well I myself is awed that China Crisis remains active, doing concerts from all over the world, even after 43 years. A musical fortune like that feels enviable, even though many other 80's band has fallen on the wayside and is now hopelessly faded - CC still got wind on its sail and will not be "retired" anytime soon by fans...
Quality band👍
I was born in Hazel Grove, 1949. Went to Australia in 72. Watched this fantastic comedy in Sydney and my Australian born partner, she instantly loved it too. I recognised a lot of the roads with temporary 'traffics lights' and knew it was South Manchester. But in one episode, the outing to the races, they mentioned The Bamboo Club, which was a great club in The Grove we all went to after having a few in the Anchor, Woodman or Grove pubs. Wonder if that's the club they talked about in the Twin Cheeks episode? Of course the 'Boo' it wasn't a strip club, just a DJ and occasional groups but they possibly got the name from it. There was also The Grapes pub in the Grove, still there I believe, although the above pubs I mentioned have sadly gone. Great memories, great comedy.
Phil sounds lovely
