Hi Jorb, fellow gear lover checking in, thanks for this great demo! Just ordered a Castor & Pollux myself I think that we're going to get along very well together.
Eurorack is a whole uncharted world to me. Which is why I’m glad you are covering this very straight forward system! What is the name of this case and key combo? When I eventually get into euro this seems like the perfect thing for me. Also as always you sprinkle in just the right amount of memes into your videos.
This is a Waldorf kb37! Actually the fact that there aren't more keyboard cases is a future video, and a look at this focused approach to eurorack is its own too 🙏🙏
@@JorbLovesGear awesome man! I look forward to it!! Yeah I really wanna get into euro but being a piano player who is just now learning synthesis, anything with out a keyboard confuses me lol. Look forward to the vids and 2k!
@@ianflurrance8438 eurorack is a scary expensive place, and a lot of paths lead away from keyboards. Lol Appreciate that! I'll probably see it click over today. 🙏🙏
@@JorbLovesGear Yes he does! I've known him (off and on) since the LJ days. . .almost twenty years. He even signed the bottom of my unit with my old LJ monicker. Great guy.
Love the Nick Batt on the PWM sweeps
Thea is a legend, the articles she wrote that broke down the technical details are incredible.
Agreed on all fronts. For others interested, here's her article on the design of the Juno oscillators: blog.thea.codes/the-design-of-the-juno-dco/
Very cool. Having a case with a built-in keyboard seems to me like the ideal way to approach eurorack.
That's the next eurorack topic! Talking about the KB37, wondering why there aren't more keyboard cases
@@JorbLovesGear I was gonna say, that’s a really nice case.
@@Tape_Echo_Player Maybe I should rush the kb37 video 😅
yeah this really opened something up for me
a very very nice demonstration and ill add it to the list of modular i cant yet afford
I just noticed @3:20 you play the Freezeezy Peak melody from Banjo-Kazooie and I wholeheartedly approve.
Good catch! I'm a nuts and bolts apologist🫡🫡🫡
@@JorbLovesGear there ain't no Nuts and Bolts and there never was! 😶🌫️
Great vid, helped us understand our Castor & Pollux, thank you!

Happy to hear it! They really are quite good
I've got to do more eurorack videos, I think I have some good thoughts to share.
@@JorbLovesGear Subbed for those thoughts!
Nice approach & wonderful video. I have zero experience with eurorack and an building a system now so this was helpful. Thx!
I've got a 'focused approach' to eurorack video in the works, might be perfect!
im not into modular, but this video makes me interested....Awesome video!
Sounds really nice! Have you ever checked out Twin Waves? That's my favorite dual oscillator..
Not familiar! Will investigate

I have an STG Soundlabs Radiophonic One on it's way! Down the rabbit-hole I go. . .
How exciting! I would love to try one, I met Suit briefly at knobcon. Wonderful guy, does a hell of a lot for the community.

Nick Batt PWM - subscribed...
High key, one of my favorite jokes.
Did you ever figure out the PWM stepping? Does it do it with cv sources?
Have you ever had an opportunity to compare this to Zero Point Oscillator by Steady State Fate?
Funny as old batt off sonic lab scrolls across the screen classic
He's such an icon. long live sonic state
Subscribed only for Behringer swing
I meant for that to be a bigger joke, but don't want to get sued so I left it. lol
I'm really interested in that KB37 but the price tag is a jump scare O_O
Totally agree! I got this used for just 500$, is the only reason I'm lucky enough to rock it
@@JorbLovesGear Oh my gosh, no cap I'd get into eurorack if I found one of these in that price range
