ATTENTION...this video is for those with experience in beaded Kumihimo and NOT FOR BEGINNERS. I do not show you HOW to Kumihimo but rather a technique so you must know how, to follow and understand.
In the video I am wrong about the setup for the green striped pattern. Here is the proper set up, counter clockwise using tabs 32, 8, 16, 24 (the 4 dots) L-Left, R-Right and Colors A & B
    **WIDE STRIPE PATTERN DISC SETUP*
    Starting at the top with #32 L/A R/B***#8 L/B R/A
    #16 L/B R/A**#24 L/A R/B
Please check out my videos for beginners or if you need a refresher. You may learn some great tips too if you've never seen my videos.

In this video I show you how easy it is to add focal beads to your beaded Kumihimo. You will learn the formula for adding as many beads as you want and the spacing in between.
The results are stunning and addicting.
    YOU WILL NEED:
8/0 seed beads in colors of your choice
Large hole focal beads (odd numbers work the best 1,3,5...)
#18 Nylon cording to match such as S-Lon Bead Cord
    Kumihimo disc, 8 bobbins, weight
    Tiny alligator clip
    Scissors
    Ruler
    Glue-in clasp
    E6000 glue
Fireline or thread for wrapping the ends

You're instructions were clear and easy to follow. I made a necklace with teal and silver seed beads and instead of flat large accent beads I used 2 large silver round filigree beads and 2 large round teal beads and a large silver pendant in the middle. I love it! Thank you! This was a fun project.

I just started doing Kumihimo, and have finished a few simple bracelets, and I must thank you for your instructional videos. Very clear and easy to understand. Now this one gives me the courage to eventually try with focal beads! Well done!

I'd like to thank you for the lesson in "doing the Math". I made my own kumihimo disc and have been practicing with cord only, thus far and have been craving to create something using beads but was unsure how (I already make all sorts of jewelry but have yet to attempt using this technique) so needless to say I'm so excited to to get started! Thank you for sharing your knowledge so clearly and in such a kind manner, greatly appreciated!

Thank you for the math! I just string on 40-50 beads for a bracelet and keep measuring until I think it's good. SOOOOOO much easier to have actual numbers!! Also, I thought the warps had to go back on the wheel in the same order I took them off when adding the focal bead. So nice to know they do not! Much easier too. LOL Thank you!

I've been doing beaded kumihimo for a few years but always got stuck on how to incorporate larger focals in my pieces. Even went to a class recently [& did learn some things] but the instructor was totally hung up on getting the cords back in the slots they started in (e.g. cord A absolutely had to go back into slot A). My brain did a "What!?'. It took me maybe 30 seconds when I sat down at home to see that it made absolutely no difference which cord went into which slot (just like you said) because you're loading the beads & starting new. Mystery solved! Thank you.

Sadly, it's been at least a decade or more since illness has stolen my joy of jewelry making, (mostly worked metalsmithing, wire-work with Gold & S.S with precious & semi-prescoius gemstones,) BUT... Only VERY recently "discovered" Kumihimo and have been 'DYING' to give it a try ever since. (Thought: "Now, I can do *that* from in bed, right?") SO Sick & Tired of TV - it all repeats after 10 years - trust me! I have new hope that resurecting my artistic endevors will help to heal me - Body AND Soul. So, no matter what I am determined. I also have one of THE weightiest of reasons... We family of 4 - all stricken with the insidious, emergent and controversial Lyme Disease and other Tick-Borne-Illnesses are drowning in debt from medical bills & 'uncovered' treatments. Too proud to ask for anything, (without giving back something,) I have decided to attempt to help fund 'us' with my art. And only just now - today-tonight - did I discover YOUR videos-tutorials and just HAD to say... I LOVE your casual demeanor and your humorous self-deprecating remarks. Oh, and of course, how so VERY informative they are! I am officially addicted! As well as grateful. THANK YOU !!! ~ Sam

+Saving Sophia I am so sorry to hear about the tough times you and your family are having. I am so happy you found my channel and that I may give you back your spark of creativity. It is proven that crafts of any kind are good for us and I applaud your determination and drive. I love the kumihimo, one of my favorites it allows me to use up beads that dont match each peice can be one of a kind, just learning to add large focal beads but need help to how the size calculates in the length to get a even centered necklace or bracelet. I made a matching piece for earrimg i just need to put both ends into a cone :0)

I too love Kumihimo. It's a great way to use up your stash. Do you still need help with the math or does my video explain it? Thanks so much for watching Samantha. If you need help, let me know.

I don't know what the shipping would be to Brazil though. Amazon would have it too.
