We need someone like you here in Southwest Florida. I am putting a video up today on how poorly we were treated today at the doctor's office. So frustrating that there are people who don't care about the patient at all and working in healthcare :( I honestly don't even think the doctor knew what was going on since the "gatekeepers" seem to run the place. I've been a patient for many years and I've worked in heathcare. I understand about being kind, caring, working with others and how to solve in issue. What is happening to common deceny? I'm glad there are people like you...especially for the elderly or others who are too sick to fight back when treated poorly...

Thanks, ladies! This is extremely valuable information, especially the part where Lori mentions creating a self-care plan to ensure we have a healthy balance while effectively tending to others. Also, this is a "calling"🎁 for me. 🙏🏽♥🙏🏽

This is great! Thanks for providing information and training for this awesome position. I'm seriously considering this training. I'm currently a CPRS and mental health advocate specifically for the African-American community. My experience is 20 years in optometry and Ophthalmologly with insurance verification.

Is this a Plus 50 Program for the older adult. I have retired from the Veterans Health Administration with more than 40 years in Healthcare. I still currently have my California Licenses as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, Nursing Home Administrator, Licensed Vocational Nurse and I am certified as a Residential Care for the Elderly Administrator. I have completed 140 quarter hours of my doctorate in Health Services at Walden University. I am also a member of the Alliance of Professional Health Advocates. In my Encore Career, I plan to be a Consultant in the Long-Term Care Industry. I am trying to decide if this program will be a benefit to me. Can you help?

I'm sorry but the first advocate was not for protecting patient's rights but protecting the hospital. I'm glad my niece had her fired from my sister's case. My niece had a better experience with the second advocate.

So called Patient Advocates paid by the health care institution will ALWAYS side with their bosses, not the patient.
Patients do not need work arounds and bandaids, we need a total re-haul of this system that operates as a business, ignoring its mission to serve the Public. Unless you understand what Quality Patient Care should look like, and unless the so called advocate is independently salaried, they're just another brick in the Wall.
Quality Patient Care is care that is Timely, Adequate, Individualized, Coordinated, Effective, meets Whole Person needs. Anything less is not advocacy but enforcing conformity.

Sound interesting but if I cannot work from home its totally inconvenient & a waste of time medical field industry is crumbling in almost every sector long commute, long work hours, mandates, too much headaches money not worth the misery home so much comforting & grounding.
