Bon didn"t die of alcohol poisoning. He asphyxiated (choked on his own vomit). And they didn't just "go on without him". Bon's parents told the band to go on and that Bon wouldn't want it to crumble because of him. Bon at one point told the band how great Brian Johnson was, that's why they got him.
Angus and Malcolm both admit AC/DC did not change the sound of hard rock, they are a throwback to the 50's sound of Chuck Berry with added distortion from modern equipment.
AC/DC are cool because of how low key they are, despite being one of the worlds biggest rock bands. They never bought into their hype nor have ever been a Hollywood/spotlight/tv hungry band. Every group should follow their example.
I admit that Fly On The Wall may have some flaws... but Flick of the Switch is really a great album. It's probably the most powerful, raw album they've ever produced. Brian's voice is also in its most grittiest state in that album. His voice was best between 1980-1981 though. Listen to some live bootlegs such as the Landover bootleg and the Chicago Rosemont hall bootleg, and you will definitely see that that was the apex of AC/DC.
Da Romania Thrasher Well yeah, sure, but that was before AC/DC really became AC/DC, they were still widely unknown to their local populous and were still knocking about a few pubs and hotels, and not forgetting the original band lineup either, Larry Van Kreidt on bass, and the other two, can’t remember their names. But yeah I would’ve thought in an AC/DC “history” video they would’ve touched on the very early life of the band, even if only very brief. Everyone seems to forget
Hard rock albums dont sell really well in UK, even Coldplay sold more records in UK than Led Zeppelin. If you look for the best selling albums in the United States you will find several Hard Rock albums, cant say the same about the UK.
One of? AC/DC is the second biggest band in History after The Beatles. Given current trends, since sources have them equal with Zep (I know mojo are full blown Zeptards, but it's true)....and Floyd.... given current trends, they will over take Zep and Floyd in the next decade... they still have a contract with Sony for TWO more albumns AND exceed the Beatles in the decade after. A Synonym for Rock'N'Roll is AD/DC.. they are THE biggest band in Music atm., yet alone Rock.. and soon be the biggest ever
as will be forty years since the first presentation of ac dc would be great to do a top-10 of the best songs of the band. (My english is very bad, I know)
You got the original band wrong, us true fans know. Original band: Dave Evans-lead vocals Angus Young-guitar Malcolm Young-guitar Rob Bailey-bass Peter Clack-drums
They are literally the gospel of rock ‘n’ roll. If rock ‘n’ roll had a Bible AC/DC would technically be the king James version of it. So we already know who the greatest band of all time is. And Black Sabbath is next in line.
Heavymetalboy That’s because those clips were from the box sets such as Family Jewels, recorded back in the 70’s, but they were compilation box sets released in 2005 and 2007.
That's the international version. The original Highvoltage album was released in 74, and TNT in 75. They re-released TNT as Highvoltage in 1976 for outside of Australia/international release, changing two songs from TNT and adding 2 from the original HV
maniac1075 The original Australian High Voltage was recorded during 1974 and early 1975, with the original session drummer Tony Currenti and was then released in February 1975. The band later hired Phil Rudd and T.N.T was released in December 1975. Very late reply but just thought I’d clear it up.

dang, Jimi Hendrix passed away for the same reason.
@@mouadgranderson9618 I think that’s how John Bonham died as well.
Bob Scott was found dead in his car. Death by misadventure.
Actually they don’t know how he died recent research says that it’s possible he could have Either died from Overdosing on Heroin or asphyxiation
....he choked on vomit...because of alcohol poisoning.
RIP Malcolm Young🙏
demarkuz someone cares
Rip George and Bon Scott too
flick of the switch is awesome. extremely underrated
francesco marinoni I couldn't agree more. It's a wonderful, back to basics album that has hits in hidden spots
Totally agree!!! One bad ass album!
Bon Scott was probably the greatest personality ever.
Maybe not the greatest, that award goes to Freddie Mercury in my opinion, but he still was an amazing frontman.
In the history of Hard Rock, AC/DC is the Best!
Angus and Malcolm both admit AC/DC did not change the sound of hard rock, they are a throwback to the 50's sound of Chuck Berry with added distortion from modern equipment.
That could explain why Angus does Berry's Duckwalk
Chuck Berry is Angus' greatest idol, ACDC would probably have never existed without him.
Your all wrong I love angus
I saw AC/DC back in 08 live and I love AC/DC my favorite band since I was 16 now I am 22 6 years of being my favorite band love them long live AC/DC
AC/DC are cool because of how low key they are, despite being one of the worlds biggest rock bands. They never bought into their hype nor have ever been a Hollywood/spotlight/tv hungry band. Every group should follow their example.
Still my fav band of all time!!! Sad what happened to them. Brian's gone, Malcolms gone, Phils gone. What happened?
All good things come to an end.
What do you mean “what happened” bro they got old 🤣💀
Angus Young is now the only remaining original member
And malcolm
+Svil Buscus he doesnt play anymore

I count Cliff Williams as an original member, too.
+Simon Weirixx but Cliff hasn't been there since the formation of the band.
RIP Bon and Malcolm
I went to see AC/DC back in June 2016
U cant deny that fact that they are the best rock band in all times

love this band
AC/DC. I am a proud fan of theirs.
They are great because they love the music, have fun playing, and just love playing for their loyal fans.
Woah woah woah. Evans was the first vocalist
Da Romania Thrasher

Greatest band ever. Every song is pretty awesome.
Man, sounds like the UK loves Rock and Roll...
I think I might move

+Dcoolest same here :D
It finally returned, i had to watch it on their website for a few years
2:45 and then ACDC became awesome and was the true acdc. LONG LIVE BRIAN
I am also an AC/DC fan probably since the 80s when I was a kid, then the 90s when I was a teen.
at 1:00 looks like a stalker. but I don't blame him. it's 1975. what'd you expect?
Tbh it's really fucking creepy. Even more creepy considering that he's dead 36 years ago

Actually the first AC/DC vocalist was Dave Evans
as will be forty years since the first presentation of ac dc would be great to do a top-10 of the best songs of the band. (My english is very bad, I know)
You got the original band wrong, us true fans know.
Original band:
Dave Evans-lead vocals
Angus Young-guitar
Malcolm Young-guitar
Rob Bailey-bass
Peter Clack-drums
they forgot acdc bringing in simon right and cliff williams
Yes, they did forget about Simon Wright and Chris Slade but they did however mention Cliff Williams when speaking about Let There Be Rock.
oh i missed that lol
Bon scott didn't die from alcohol poisoning. he died from chocking on his own vomit after passing out.
Possible. We don't fully know
They could replace the singer with someone with a similar voice, that's pretty lucky.
I love AC/DC!!!
HOLY FUCKIN SHIT THEY DID IT!!!
the 3 cord wonder band FYI i saw them in 1976 in a pub in Melbourne
Too short and only covers what we all already know
Fuck yeah AC/DC :D !!
So basically the band started with the brothers and bon and the drum and the drummer left and then came back and Brian replaced bon
This right
love these!
They forgot about the 80s “Red Scare”/Night Stalker case, PMRC, Malcolm’s alcoholism and Salty Lake City 1991.
The History of:
Rush
Talking Heads
Deep Purple
Emerson, Lake and Palmer
Megadeth
Creedence Clearwater Revival
Janis Joplin and Chicago please.
RIP Jimi Hendrix
Very nice and smooth documentation style. Also I love the female docu voice! Who is she?
The best

In comparison, yeah but still good.
Thank you all the Bon and AC/DC fans who viewed the KILO video. John Swan played a significant role in AC/DC history.
STRAYA
Yes!
One of them said 2005 and 2007 with bon scott that year when brian johnsion
Heavymetalboy
That’s because those clips were from the box sets such as Family Jewels, recorded back in the 70’s, but they were compilation box sets released in 2005 and 2007.
Can you do history of some rnb groups
At the end there, Live at River Plate wasn't mentioned.
Needs updates.
please do the history of KISS :)
highvoltage was 1974
Original Release date: May 14, 1976.
That's the international version. The original Highvoltage album was released in 74, and TNT in 75. They re-released TNT as Highvoltage in 1976 for outside of Australia/international release, changing two songs from TNT and adding 2 from the original HV
Well That's the one they were talking about. I'll admit I didn't know about that, but they never said in the video it was the original album.
maniac1075
The original Australian High Voltage was recorded during 1974 and early 1975, with the original session drummer Tony Currenti and was then released in February 1975. The band later hired Phil Rudd and T.N.T was released in December 1975.

This what WatchMojo should do, the history of music. Not Top 10 lists, its not good. The history, they should stay at.

The video was made back in 2012, Rock or Bust wasn’t released then, it was released in 2014.
Actually it was 1976
No it was the Australian high voltage from 1974 not the one with angus on the cover, that's an American compilation album.
I'm confused about lead singers
