Fisker didn’t build those cars. They outsourced it to an established factory. That’s why there are no issues with panel gaps, they aren’t a start up manufacturer

I felt like her when a friend bought a mach-e and was bragging about the software. I was just there trying so hard not to look unimpressed or list the many features we have over it.
Hope Fisker makes it. We need more EVs and more options for people who are sick and tired of being addicted to oil and paying dearly for that addiction.
Someone should rescue Fisker and at the same time, buy out all of Dyson's R&D and IP to bring about something interesting for the next gen.
In california, electricity is not cheap. My rate is average .40 cents per kwh. At that rate it's not much cheaper than filling up a gas car.

While attributing to the increase of smog (release of carbon monoxide that turns into carbon dioxide 2 mo later) and now the new bandwagon of enlightened evironmentalists are lkke if you don't own a ev. You hate the environment. While creating lithium mines/cobalt mines destroying the environment at a faster rate than petroleum ever could while endorsing slave labor. I guess no matter what edevor it's not the American way if someone or something isn't getting f'd. You can act like it's the better alternative but it's still just an act.
I like Fisker, I hope they make it. But I think they look great and I love the idea of solar panels on the roof. It's not a lot of energy but even a small amount of free juice is nice, just for parking in your driveway.

Henrik Fisker. Great car designer, horrible/criminal businessman. The car owners are passionate about the product, but they need to admit that they were all ultimately ripped off by Henrik and his wife.

They got a car they still love to drive - its exactly what they wanted for their money. Other new cars from major brands often aren't perfect as well , in that light this seems to be a surprisingly well made and usable car from the getgo. Despite its little flaws.
I'm a Tesla fan, but I really liked this honest owners interviews and I really hope Fisker will make it. Nice car.

To be clear, I hope they make it. When I placed my order for model X in 2014 I think tesla was also having it's ups and downs but I had a really strong feeling the product was going to succeed. So I feel I truly understand what these owners are feeling. Many of the interviews seemed to have a healthy attitudes and plan for going forward. This is a big bump in their road and I hope it again all works out. They all seemed to have eyes wide open and are being brave to help build this car. Love the American spirit.

I would even go as far as getting an Aptera once they go to market. Its about seeing innovation grow. Looking through the comments, so many think its about competition.

Yup! I live in Oklahoma and my wife and I are flying from Tulsa to San Diego California on May 6th to pickup a Fisker Ocean Extreme. I bought it knowing Fisker's financial situation. I also know future servicing in Oklahoma may be possible or impossible. I paid $31,750 for it with 600 miles. It's going to be a great video of an adventurous couple traveling to California to pick up a vehicle with an uncertain future and make a two week vacation out of it. What's more adventurous than this?Crazy, huh? Either it will be an amazing vacation or one of the worst ones ever. We are planning on driving it around California and then driving it back to Oklahoma. There will be lots of site seeing and plenty of stopping to charge along the way. I'm excited about it and my wife is excited about it too! This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience a beta car and the complete unknowns. We are owners of other EVs. We have a Nissan Leaf, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Hyundai Ioniq 6, Tesla Model S and now a beta car Fisker Ocean Extreme! The Ocean Extreme was purchased to mainly tow our Waverunners all over Oklahoma. With its big battery and excellent range of 360, I should be able to get 250 to 300 miles of real towing miles per charge. This will make a great video. The Fisker company may die but it's Oceans won't be still. Thanks for letting me comment and have a blessed day today!

Hate to disappoint you. As a FOO owner, I LOVE my car, but 360 charge gets you about 180 -220 real miles. I start with 80% and 285 miles for work. My job is exactly 90 miles round trip. I get home with 147-155 miles of charge when I get home. I can do 2 round trips and a half for the full 285.
The first $25k EV. Other company talks about it but Fisker delivers.

They are obviously share holders and extremely biased, or its a case of mass formation psychosis.
Its just mind boggling just how many people will root for a product to fail, simply because they use another product, don't want to see competition to their favorite product or the product is out of their price point or comfort zone. The real Fisker community understood what early adaptation was. Yes Fisker still has allot of improvement to do on organizing, servicing and communication. They are a 3/10 in that aspect and that's being generous. I'd give the car an easy 8/10 weighing the joy of driving it 🆚 the current annoyances of the occasional inconvenient software bugs. With smoothed out software and future upgrades...easily a 10/10.

I like my FOO 1003, but I totally disagree with the first guest Mike(the role of apologist) that I signed up as a "beta tester". That's total hindsight hogwash. We also didn't get "extras" as early adopters for our $70,000. We paid top dollar but have yet to get what we paid for. It is what it is. Let's see what happens next.
The car is manufactured by Magna not Fisker
And so is the ownership for warranty claims. People will have no worries about future service

I don’t believe MKBHD cared about test car or not. Having them give him a perfect car is not representative of the real world experience. He wanted that real world experience and not everyone is wanting to or realizes what goes into being a “beta tester”. They sound a little in denial tbh. If the software sucks, it sucks. It’s something you interact with every minute pretty much and it’s a big deal. Let’s not forget that a lot of the reason it blew up was that “senior tech’s” reaction in that phone call lol
Tesla promoted the video, plus Fisker Ocean was constantly in the media due to stock price movement. Earnings report dropped the stock price, not the video, occurred same weekend.

Real owners know how good the car is. I saw one on the road for the first time and it was really nice looking. No doubt a great design. Solidly built. Its a shame someone reviewed the car too early and damaged a great company trying to produce vehicles to better the industry with cars that have recycled materials and capture energy from the sun! The owners say the car is fantastic. I would definitely buy a Fisker. I hope they are going to continue, its a great American company.
This has been the best car ever! Not only is it Beautiful to look at but the interior is just as amazing. It’s powerful it an awesome ride. These critics are only that critics… ask those who own it to get the best answer. Someone is getting paid for crap on Fisker and truly not allowing anyone but the big companies to survive.

I own a Fisker Ocean One sequence number 1447. I have owned and driven it daily since Nover 8, 2023. I came from owning Jaguar F-Pace, and I had more issues with it in 6 months than I've has with my Fisker. Actually, I have no real issues with my Fisker. I only had the A/C vent replaced due to 1 section of 4 making noise sometimes.
I really love the vehicle. I feel excited and make up excuses to drive it.
It's sad that the company is having a hard time. I plan to keep mine until it can't be fixed, which I doubt.

Received my Ocean Ultra today after putting my deposit down on 2/14/22. I also rented a Tesla Model 3 in Florida first week of March. Yes, I definitely liked the Tesla! Recently had to test drive the 2024 Model Y, it’s not close!! I like the Ocean more without a doubt…..
At current prices, especially when they can conver your ocean One order to extreme, so you can get that 5.25K deposit appllied plus 7.5 tax credit, I think its worth it.. waiting to get mine in stealth green !

That’s how I felt when Saturn went under. I had just bout my SUV. Loved it. Had a motor issue like year 3 and got rid of it. Expensive repairs.

Yes, it took Tesla 10 years to get panels right, but they have been industry leading by far on what matters… power train and software. Fisker has now been trying to make cars for many years as well and they do not have these things down.
You probably meant Fisker Karma, about 10 years ago, by Fisker Automotive. The company went bankrupt because its battery supplier went bankrupt, couldn't find replacement. This is a new company, Fisker Inc.

All the FUD was the same when we bought our Model3P in 2019. Friends/family thought I was crazy. Now they’re everywhere. Nothing new with any EV start up.

Ask anybody that owned a Think City electric vehicle. When the company went under there was no one to help you, you had to get rid of the vehicle for pennies on the dollar. Repairs or parts were impossible to get. It was a disaster.

I mean, they can try to make it seem like they are so happy...but the fact is. This is a bad buy...and they got played by Fisker. The one guy saying it took Tesla 10 years to get the panel gaps right, but he lost 50k in just a matter of months. LOL. It's silly. I ask you - would you consider me stupid, a moron, crazy, etc. if, knowing what we know, I chose to buy a $33k new Fisker over a 209 mile range Nissan Ariya at $42k???
13:54 As someone who just bought a used '19 M3LR, I was nervous that I needed an instrument cluster to adjust. I didn't need one. However, I saw the T9 screen from TMA and the front camera and I had to have it. Cost me just under $300 (and was horrible to install) but now I have what's likely a much better screen than he has and it has Android Auto and all sorts of cool stuff. It's not perfect (hopefully gets OTA updates) but he's just flat-out wrong about this point. It's quite cheap/easy to get an instrument cluster in a Model 3 and for cheaper than I did it.

They're all drinking Copium Cola. It's not about how its a different brand, its about how he just outsourced production and hired terrible executives. Bad business led to this.
The solar panel is my favorite feature. Fisker could sell solar tesla roof shade accessories and make money. I would love the option to trickle charge while parked outside.
It's got such a big battery and is so inefficient that the solar panel doesn't even cover the phantom drain.
Feels like buddy has his whole life savings in Fisker stock and doing everything he can to keep it afloat.

To buy a car at full price and be a beta tester is absurd. No other legacy automaker would do that.
Lets be realistic, its hard to build EV with profit... So they let an external company manufacture there car which usually only do luxury brands. How did they plan to make money? Then they put a huge battery in to make up for the bad efficiency which make the production cost even higher. So technically they would need to sell for at least 80-100k. Which some ppl. are willing to pay to be "special", but that wont be enough to keep the company running at all.

This was a soldd group of owners you interviewed .they seemed realistic about the shortcomings,but concerned about the companies future, only one guy didn't seem to know a lot of those features are available on other EV's and not exclusive to fisker

I didn't know about this Fisker 'fallout' 'til just now. Do you know if there's something they need to do to retain the life of their company? (Kim/PJ)
One thing that concerns me is the lack of service and parts available. If Fisker can resolve this I would have MUCH LESS anxiety. The 2.0 software has been solid!!
Which OEM will partner with or buy the company when it becomes insolvent?
I feel like if a company can take someone's money for a product you should be able to give them a review as the product exists. GM did a stop sale on the Blazer EV to prevent reviews. If the product is not worthy at the time stop selling it and stop taking people's money.

They are truly hurt about what MKBHD said? Truth hurts and the fact that you guys are saying it’s beta software in a car that is not in physically in no shape or form a beta suv, so no excuses. When it comes to car software such as Tesla etc, it’s never done or finished so you can’t get mad when someone says the current software is trash.

Seems like the Magna build of body is good but the Fisker made stuff, the software and design, are problematic. Don't people remember the Fisker Karma? Same issues and most are now those cars are now orphans. I don't really see why you would risk owning this for those underwhelming features.
A good EV'ent for Earth Day! I always really wanted Fisker to succeed… and still do! At Fully Charged LIVE 2022, besides the Aptera, the Fisker Ocean was the only other EV inundated with covetous attendees. Obviously, consumers really like its features. I think there are four reasons the company is struggling: (1) too many consumers think Teslas are the "only" EV to consider; (2) Fisker's marketing hasn't been sufficiently widespread and effective; (3) the gawdamn fossil fools have been hell bent lately on disseminating their old, worn-out anti-EV stories and criticisms; (4) their petrolganda has caused investors to shy away from EVs -any EVs- and Fisker needs generous backers as a startup automaker. If I were in the market for an EV, I'd opt for a Fisker over a Tesla any day of the week, but… I now drive an Ioniq 5 Limited, which compares favorably with the Fisker, and is much better than my previous Tesla.
The real reason Fisker is struggling is because their cost of manufacture is far too high. Unlike Tesla who is always innovating new ways to bring buyers better cars at lower prices.

I think if you were a handyman and needed a second car, it would be fine and also some fun in keeping it for the sake of keeping it going, a bit like owning a vintage car.
No, I wound not buy one when it’s resale value is zero, also the parts will become a problem, owners will in a few years be waiting a long time for part delivery
Between Fisker and Vinfast (and Huawei?), I think the Fisker is the most mature one, but doesn't have the mega corporations behind. Maybe they should be bought by a corporation that wants to enter this market... maybe a Chinese one.
The realist was the guy with the model Y performance. Everyone else was in hope mode. Do they not read? Fisker has gone bankrupt once already. Wonder how many software updates those cars are getting. I’m always rooting for them but I have yet to see anything that tops a Tesla in terms of cost & value. I see a lot of people getting other EV’s because they wanna drive something different which is fine but they have yet to sell me on another EV. If other EV’s were so amazing why didn’t they come out earlier and why did they adopt the Tesla network in the U.S.? Not hating but just can’t recommend other EV’s that I’ve driven over a Tesla
I feel bad for them but some like the older gentleman are in complete denial.
Now is kind of a weird time for EV’s. The value of them are dropping like rocks including Tesla. I think it’s just a hard time to be a new ev automaker unless you’ve got a decent foothold like Tesla already had. Fisker will likely get bought for pennies and but I think just to own their IP. It’s sad because I think more ev competition is needed.
