PLENTY OF GET-OUT-AND-GO
There are plenty of ways to enjoy the great outdoors, but a dirt bike is one of the best. You get to see so much more, and you’re totally immersed in all of the sights, sounds, and smells. And the Honda CRF250F is one of our best trail-friendly two wheelers ever. For lots of riders, it’s going to be the perfect size for your adventures. Its fuel-injected engine offers reliable power across a wide powerband, even in cold weather and higher altitudes, and there’s no carburetor to fuss with if it’s been sitting a while. The twin-spar frame is light, strong, and Honda tough. An electric starter makes getting up and running easy, and the styling is right off our championship-winning CRF motocrossers. When it’s time to get out and go, this is the bike you’ll want to be on. - Авто та транспорт
I have had my 2021 CRF250F for about a year now and I love it. I have one arm (left) so I ha the throttle modified, move to the left with a lever.
That's it. I'm getting a couple of these so my boy and I can ride trails!
Street rider who wants to get into dirt riding here. So glad to hear your recommendation on this bike, it really means and helps a lot!
Glad to help!
Can't go wrong with a Honda trail bike. Back when I had a KX500 I probably had more fun on the kids XR100. I'm hoping for a dual sport version of this.
I've been racing mx my entire adult life, and I can honestly say if you're already a novice street rider, you don't want to waste your money buying a air-cooled woods bike like this. It's definitely going to underwhelm you in terms of performance. (I bought this exact model for my wife who is more of a beginner). If I were you I'd look for a medium size displacement liquid cooled bike. Like the crf250x or wr250f. They're still geared for the woods, but when you twist the throttle your definitely going to be smiling much longer for the money!! Good luck, and I hope I helped a little.
@@bensmith7932 Thanks for extra point of view! I'll definitely consider this as well
I rode dirdbikes for a while and got a crf230M and it toooed at about 55 but was well off road capable. But for that top speed I may have just got a grom. Id go for a drz400 or xr650 its gor all the off road youd want but can still get down. If you want pure off road id reccomend a crf150R or a yz125
Honda is such an amazing and dynamic company. Always super reliable and leak free.
Couldn't agree more!
I bought one this spring and I really like it. I ride with guys on 250 and 350 KTM’s and the only time they outpace me is when you are riding on really long straight stretches. I ride northern Ontario logging roads and snowmobile trails and this bike is awesome. It’s 90% rider and 10% bike. BTW I like that there is finally someone doing a review that’s not a beginner and can actually ride. So many of the 250f reviews are done by absolute beginners. Great job!!
Thanks! Yes, a lot to do with riding dirt is experience and a user friendly machine, which this definitely is. Enjoy the ride! 👍
I wish there was that much freedom in southern Ontario
Soon to be even less.
As said, good to see a review from someone who can ride :-) (Although not overly critical of it lol) Wish they'd bring out a new CRF250X, the gap between 250F and 250RX is too big.
Coming from crotch rockets, getting away from all the texting drivers that try to kill me everyday on the roads. I bought a 250RX for me and a 250F for the wife. While I love the performance of the RX, the 250F is a joy to ride and in my option a better choice for slower trail speeds due to the torque it has at lower rpms.
Thanks for the comment, and yes, I agree, fun to ride.
This is probably the best video yet for the CRF 250f
I just got this today. Very happy with it!
Awesome! Well done, enjoy! 👍
I bought a new one a few weeks ago and love it. I have a motocross bike but this is just enjoyable fun! Love the vids! Thanks Jamie!
Glad you enjoy it!
I just ordered one I can't fuckin wait
I like the price range the most compared to other bikes in this size. My girlfriend rides an 08 crf150 and has outgrown it a while ago and just simply needs more power. She’s still learning but is getting better every time. I can’t wait til we get her one of these.
This populer motorcycle now in my country 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I just bought one and is fantastic!
Same here Carlos, it’s a big bike I couldn’t believe it.
Great! Brappp! 👍
I have this dirt bike and I love it a lot its perfect for whta I do
U should do a review of the klx300r
great review. what we need Honda to do is make a crf450f or crf500f air cooled ,now they would sell like hot cakes.
Tejon trail @ hungry valley, just did that trail yesterday on the same bike.
Nice one
Thank you
You're welcome
I used to own a street bike, I've been looking/shopping for a dirt bike for years and any advice is appreciated. Im leaning towards the 250F after all the research I've done. Im not gunna be racing or jumping so I dont think the 250R would be the right choice.
Smiles/$ on this is great value. I would probably get the 250L so I could ride on the road as well.
You are awesome j
Absolutely love this Honda 👊😎👍
Me too!
I currently tossing up my options to replace my now somewhat ancient XR250R, mainly ride trails through forestry and the bush (I'm in Australia). Has anyone got any insight into how this compares with a late 90s XR?
Im trying to get into motorcross. I own a xmoto 125 chinese pit bike and i feel like it dont got the power i want anymore. I done got so used to the power it feels slow. Im getting this bike soon and wanna get into motorcross so bad but like i have no clue where to start. I know this is a trail riding bike but i done have 8000 to put into the R.
Why did Honda remove it from their website?
I reckon it should be possible to swap the stock suspension for CRF250X suspension and have a perfect trail bike
I love the bike I still wish they would have left the kickstart
thanks man i will buy one im going from 80cc to 250cc
Have fun!
@@motogeo tanks man
👍 # 251 thank you and many regards!
Thanks for visiting
that's great and all but where's the BURGER MATE!!!
Just bought this bike. I have never ridden a motorcycle in my life :) We'll see how it goes.
@Larry W thanks! I was choosing between this and yamaha yz250, and yamaha is quite a bit more expensive. For the same money as I bought a brand new Honda I could have gotten a 5 to 10 year old Yamaha yz250.
@@michaelkuzmin Yamaha’s equivalent would be a ttr230. The yz250 is a competition bike.
@@jordanpayne6838 ok I thought that there may be something like that. so what makes YZ250 so much better?
@@michaelkuzmin it’s built stronger and lighter with a bit more power. Honda’s equivalent to the yz250 would be a crf250r or crf250rx. Those models are designed for racing where as a crf250f and ttr230 is designed for trail riding.
@Larry W lol wow I didn't think they still made that for some reason. They do looks bad ass with the fat tires
That's what I have...!
Trying to decide between this and the 250R. It’d a really tough choice. I don’t think I’ll be hitting jumps. But it’d be a lot of fun if I decide to
I’ve heard that the crf250r suspension is stiffer also adjustable. And it’s a better over all bike just harder suspension that is adjustable so I think the r is the one
If your a casual rider, I’d definitely get the crf250f. Plus if your not hitting jumps you don’t really need the latest suspension. I also think trail bikes are more reliable
I’m on a list to get a new 2021 or 2022 250F! Let’s goooooo
Did you get one yet?
@@stormyweather2837 yes it’s pretty good, it’s perfect for the farm
You sound like a Englishman (albeit a northerner). I thought this bike wasn't available in the UK. Where can I get one?
Great review, I should buy this bike but I can’t stop looking at the CRF250RX 🤷🏾♂️
250X is water-cooled, higher revving & greater maintenance.
If you want a Kickstart and headlight as well buy an older 250x
Is this the same engine as in the CRF250L? A 300L has come out in Thailand. It will really sell. I like these bikes.
No
@@thealvaco Thanks.
How fast can these go? Can I use them on streets too? And can they climb uphill? Take small jumps too?
60 or 65 mph. U can't use this on street. It will go up hills easy and small jumps good also
can somebody pls tell me why these r so affordable and cheap. are there any downsides?
Wait what is the price sir
I’m 225 lbs, can this bike handle the weight?
Wish 250L have some this F features specifically in engine..
I got this bike yesterday and I absolutely love it
what trail is this?
What year is this bike?
Trail bikes should have beefy stators and lights.
wish it had kick start tho
is 5'3 too short?
What’s the difference between this and the CRFL? Other then one is street legal. No other differences?
The engines are different. Crf250l is liquid cooled while this one is not. Suspension on the L is different and so is the frame. Basically what I'm saying is the bikes couldn't be any more different.
I’m 5”7 and 12 should I get the crf 250 or ttr 125?
@@jeremy4552 ok bet but i’ve never rode before
I’m 6’2 225lbs would this be a good size for me?
Size wise I think so, you just might need to tighten up the preload on the rear spring a bit, best test ride first if you can, but suspension settings can always be worked out if the motor and chassis fit you and your experience.
Still think the better beginner nike is an older 250x
Made in Brazil ???
Looking to get this for my girl
She’s 5’2” so not sure if I would need to lower it or not
Probably not, should be a good size 👍
@@motogeo cool thx!
I wish Honda sold a street legal CRF250F. Air cooled, light & low maintenance.
@Jonathan Spier insurance is still an issue.
Just buy a crf250 or 300L
@@LolliWANG505 the 250L & 300L are water-cooled, heavier, higher maintenance & more street orientated.
The Kawasaki KLX230 is an air-cooled, street-legal dirt bike. It would be great if Honda did the same with the 250F.
@@HowzitUSA I can tell you right now a crf250l/300l is a low maintenance liquid cooled dual sport. You really don't have to work on them much.
@@LolliWANG505 weight of the 250F, 265 lbs. The 250L, 320 lbs.
Working on an air-cooled engine is way easier.
As a trail bike the 250F is better than the 250L.
Shame it's not street legal, not in the UK either 😕 AJP do a similar bike
Can you not get one in the uk
@@olihargreaves29 no, Honda is range of off road and dual sport bikes is very limited, the crf450 road legal one has been removed.
Ahh, I still like the WR Series better. Though the acceleration is snappier.
It's basically a yz fx with a headlight
How well would someone who is 5,5 be able to ride it?
IM 5'7, 29 inch inseam..I have had this bike for about a year...it fits me great.
You Think a 13 year old could ride this? My current Bike is a Suzuki rm125 and I want an upgrade.
How tall are you?
EFI?
Yes
How many gears does it have

If u like this, check out the GPX FSE250E. Same motor {carbed}, better suspension, 6 speed completely decked out out lights/display skidplate, pegs ETC. And only $3,700
I watched this review and it convinced me to buy one. I got a 2022 250f last month and let me say this review is so bias. Lots of lies. 270lbs is NOT user friendly. A 450 is lighter than it.. It also does not sound good at all like the review said. Its not family friendly at all either when people dump it due to it being super heavy. Take it out to the desert? No. I’ve taken it to the dunes and its simply not a good experience. And if you drop it good luck getting it back up. “Nothing but fun and enjoyment” I honestly can’t enjoy it. Hard to enjoy riding a tank. And let me say the suspension does NOT soak up bumps. The only pros are reliability and fuel efficienty. Honestly just get a 150rb. 70 pounds lighter. Sounds better. About the same power. Only 2 inches shorter. A 150rb will fit the same size groups and be more user friendly in my opinion. Sure it doesn’t have fuel injection but who cares at that point. I’d rather save 70 pounds and have it sound amazing. You could have at least stated the cons in this video but you didn’t. You made it sound perfect when in reality it’s very flawed. It’s simply not good for the trails or dunes. Thanks for making a dishonest review. Cheers!
Is the crf250r better ?
250r is a race ready bike. For motocross track yes its better.

Not to mention that this bike is fuel injected really lets this review down. It's a huge piece of the puzzle for recreational riders.
If you could only afford one trail type, easy going bike would you go for a crf250l or this one? Yes, I'm a dirt newb. 🤣🤫
250L is water-cooled, street legal & less dirt orientated.
250F is air-cooled, lower maintenance & a great trail bike.
Too bad it’s so talk for me
How tall are you?
I am tippy toed at 5,6
5'9", with short legs 👍
