Apparently there’s a hole in the body behind the factory mud flaps. So if you remove them you have to figure out a way to patch the hole. Thanks for watching. 👍🏻
@@fondupot Indeed there is. The OEM accessory mud flaps have you remove that factory "flap", and then they are molded to cover that hole in the body where the retainer clip goes in (both the molded and the "flat" OE cover that hole). Same with WeatherTech's.
@@gmpartsguy9614 There is a square hole where the factory chip guards clip into. I purchased the Weathertech ones. They are designed to cover the holes. You are supposed to remove the factory chip guards.
I just purchased a 2022 Silverado RST 4x4 Z71 6.2L. Very nice truck! I used the Weathertech 'No Drill' Mudguards. They are a quality item for about $100.
@@fondupot I wanted a 6.2L and I had to drive a 125 miles away to find it. It's a fun truck. Sadly I had to get the standard box. No short beds were available. Barely fits in my driveway.
Form over function my friend. I can agree they aren’t for everyone. But I go on muddy jobsites and wanted a lot of protection from mud flapping everywhere.
Started watching when I bought my Canyon a few years ago, love the no non sense installs you do! Truly enjoy your video.
Thanks very much Nate!
Was surprised that you left the original front mudflap in place.
Have a dandy weekend buddy.

Giddy up! Bet that’s fun to drive.

Oh man standard box is the way to go. I love the crew cab standard box look. I’ll trade you!
@@fondupot Lol.. no 4 bangers for me. Love V8’s. 🇺🇸
Yea if I bought one for myself…V8 all day
Although functional, they look like something a 75 year old man would have on his truck. Good installation video though.
