Giddy up. There's rumblings in my company for a new truck being purchased soon...it could very well be a Duramax as well. And me being the senior truck driving person...would get that truck. This 2022 truck would go to another guy in our fleet.
Could it be possible to cut the cat out, weld a straight piece in with an o2 bung and just run a o2 spacer to let the turbo breathe better and in return make more power?
@@fondupotthat’s a bummer. My pool man has a 2022 Silverado LTD that has the 4 cylinder turbo with the lower hp/tq ratings. His motor was making a loud tapping noise at 70,000 miles. It turned out to be something with the valve drain and his truck was out of order for literally a month. Thankfully, he had an extended warranty, so it didn’t cost him anything.
@@TheCarCrazyGuy Yes, mine is the same motor, the low output L3B variant per-refresh.. Nothing gone wrong with this motor yet. Knock on wood. Ask him if his consumes oil.
Be sure to check the video description for important part numbers and link to the tech manual procedure.
Six months ago I sold my 2022.5 Silverado 1500 RST 6.2L and purchased a 2024 Silverado 2500 HD LTZ with the Duramax. I hope it’s reliable.

@@builtbychino I suppose so. Sure.
Were you out of emissions warranty?
Yes. Emission warranty is only 80k miles.
