  • Hi everybody thanks for tuning in. This week I spend a bit of time explaining why I'm doing the things I'm doing in my Honey house. I get lots of questions from people asking me to explain things in a clear way and I've done my best with the help of a few diagrams to show you what exit is exactly going to happen regarding the mezzanine and the division of the rooms underneath. Finally I get out of the Bees in the afternoon we got some good weather at last and the nukes are looking amazing hope you enjoy the video!

    The most I love in your videos when you transfer nucs into hives.
    The only thing beats it, when you show such hive a week later and the change can be seen in that colony how they got bigger, the foundations were drawn, etc...

    1:15 grrrr. I nearly talked myself out of building a wax dipper yesterday. I’ll take it as a sign I should do it. I actually came across an old forum post you made years ago when looking around.

    Your shop starting to look like Big Guns bee supply.. buy in bulk sell it at retail.. just told my son he wants to sell singles next year we need round up all those boxes with rot and fix and paint them. We're heading over to West Michigan tomorrow take our mushroom certification test and pickup load of equipment for bees .. figure we split and treat them Aug 1 St we should have few hundred we can sell extra.. first graft looks amazing..

      Lol yea I can afford one or two to go spare !! You know how it is for us European beekeepers. More bees than we know what to do with 🤣😎 see you in the next video

    At least you've thought about the whole picture. I've been to a few places over the year's were they forgot to allow for the mast height on the forks. The usual tell tale sign of the cladding dented in. But that's ideal it'll certainly save your back.

    Richard, are you obliged to have Engineering Inspection Insurance on your Extraction Line and the lifting equipment? Also Engineering Explosion Insurance on the hot-water boiler unit of the Extraction Line?

    What a waste, I would get two feeder shims out of that... 🤣

    Set up a dip barrel with a penetrating oil for the boxes.

    Have you thought about where the bees you inevitably bring home in harvested supers are going end up?

      @richardnoel3141 that sounds like it'll work. Have been in couple of sheds with high ceilings and no bee escape rooms, can make for a hard time getting bees out

    Is there room for the empty boxes/pallets to roll towards the extractor end on the wall side on a set of sloped rollers?
    Will you clean the boxes at the uncapping end or the extraction end?

  • @sinisterhipp0
    @sinisterhipp0 Місяць тому

    Your extraction room has three doors. One to right going to warming room, great. One to the left going to main warehouse, great. But the middle one seems like a waste of space. You could move barrels straight across your extraction room into the warming room and out again. Without needing a the middle door. 10:38 This gives more floor space to be used in central area in front of the heat pump exchange area, instead of needing to be kept clear for a third doorway, which could be more office space. This should help keep your office space cleaner not rolling traffic through that area.

    • @richardnoel3141
      @richardnoel3141  Місяць тому +1

      There isn’t a middle door, I
      Must have made a mistake. There is just a corridor with the main access to the extraction room then if you go through that door on your right that takes you too the warning room.
      The room that has electric and building stuff in it has just a normal sized pedestrian door. When you enter the extraction room there will be a door the garage end of the extraction room, to exit with palettes. I see why you asked , that’s just the mezzanine above you can see marked , so it’s open underneath. Thanks for mentioning it

    Does the SWL on the pallet truck reduce with hight lifted? I know some models do especially at large heights.

    • @richardnoel3141
      @richardnoel3141  Місяць тому

      Hi Richard, yes it does but it will lift in most cases all I need up to the mezzanine. But yes, there is a chart you follow that gives you the loss over height

  • @absolutbill12345
    @absolutbill12345 Місяць тому +1

    Do you have a way to move the pallets around once they are up on the mezzanine level?

    • @richardnoel3141
      @richardnoel3141  Місяць тому

      Yes, there will be a second pallet truck, standard up there most of the times will show you when we get the mezzanine and everything in place 🙏 great question.
