Canmore, Alberta - 2022

Canmore is a small developing city of about 15000 people directly West of Calgary and South of Banff. It's a very pleasant point of departure for visiting many sites within Banff National Park and is out of the hustle and tourism of Banff.
We visited in August and generally followed the following itinerary:
Day 1 : Checked out Quarry Lake (in Canmore), Hector Lake, Peyto Lake, Columbia Icefields Skywalk
Day 2 : Biked from Canmore to Banff (approx 36km round trip), enjoyed the breweries and shops in the area
Day 3 : Took a shuttle from Lake Louise Ski resort to Moraine Lake. Hiked the Sentinel Pass trail, took shuttle to Lake Louise and did the Fairview Lookout trail. Took shuttle back to Banff and then did the Gondola ride to watch the sunset.
Day 4 : Enjoyed Canmore's restaurants! Woods Restaurant and Crazyweed Kitchen were delicious!
