- I didn't know what to title this video.. But while thinking about a thumbnail, I realized that the new Discmania Original P2s have been PDGA approved as of yesterday.. So that means I will be switching over to those now. I didn't even realize that during the round so I never mentioned it until the very last second.. Anyway. Fun course!!

*July* 27th... Is what I was trying to say 😂TILT release is JULY 27th! 🍻
Omg I want it so bad! I sticked my Tilt in a tree😭
I don't know much about the tilt, sounds like ya got to be a master to throw one, but for funzies it would be worth it.
Grats on your ultimate signature disc almost :D
Tell Matt (if he's the one recording) being behind the camera doesn't mean he can't take.
Let’s goooo! 🎉🎉🎉
UDisc has the all time low score listed as a 51. Simon plays the course blind and shoots a 50.
Played in the doubles league there a lot last summer and there are a lot of very legit disc golfers that play in that league. That score would’ve won that league most weeks. Pretty incredible stuff, wild to see those lines sniped like that
@@adventuresofskeetervalenti4986 well simon is one of the worlds best
Simon lowkey throwing down priceless flight characteristic tips.
I think I heard the understable hyzer tip from one of his older vlogs and it changed the way I've thrown left sweeping holes since. When you get it right it's a really cool sight to behold.
Right? I've never heard anybody talk about that, like you'd expect if it's a common thing. Now I'm wondering if that's something noobs can do or if that's Crush Boy dark arts.
@@leksasdf I'm gonna go throw my flippy roller beat pro valk on a steep hyzer ASAP and see what happens. Never thought to try.
Haha I play this course all the time and have always been baffled by some of the lines and he just dissected a couple of them flawlessly
Hole 3 I totally would have grabbed my most overstable disc, a great tip on flippy discs gliding more left.
I like that he was kind of explaining how he wants to throw it and how it's going to do a certain thing, help give you some inside and help trying to learn different throws
Simon putts where I would throw my upshots, crazy how much power u get
I doubled my distance putting by throwing the disk up. Watched a Wysocki video for the tip
@@tillman40 what video?
@@tillman40 which video?
It looks like hes not even reaching back on some of these driving putts ala dan beato drill
@@tillman40 also wonderign which video lol
Simon has the best disc golf blog camera work out there; with actual zoom so you can see the flight of the disc.
"Some might call it a tester but Paul McBeth calls it a tap in!"
-Simon
Really enjoyed this video, would definitely watch more like this where you're just playing a round in the future
Missed you Simon! I miss Casey too. You oughtta have a reunion episode at some point!
Matt is a great cameraman! The only blurry take happened when he left …
It was a Fluke. 🤣
The bird chirping at 4:50 was lobbying hard for a nature moment segment.
Wood Thrush, that call is beautiful
You know it's going to be a banger of a video when it starts off with Elsa.
This was so dope. Great filming. Great round. And an actual *full* 18. 👏
This camera guy is money. The zoom shots are gold.
Simon touch shots where he like doesn’t even reach back just blows my mind. Favorite pro by far.
Simon: you know when you let go and see it’s going in and you can already bend down…
Michael Johansson: Yes.
MJ already at the basket: Yeah
Watched this movie and paused at the beggining when you showed your Frozen disc, and my 3y old yells "thats mine!"
really enjoy your videos!
Thanks for filming Matt
I don't know what I like better, the intro tease or the fire round.
I played this course a few weeks ago in a tournament. He made it look so much easier than it is.
@@mikestrout I’m sure. I was thinking about how many of the initial gaps I wouldn’t hit. Lol
Simon out here shredding my home course! Glad you made the trip!
That seems like a fun course. Also, being a lefty, hearing that "theres a lot of left to right" makes me happy. lol
i was thinking the same thing lol as a fellow lefty "alot of left to right" sounds like a dream. The courses I play at are righty-friendly for 3/4 of the holes
Ditto!
@@vigilantejusticevid My home course is Harry Meyers, where the Nick Hyde Memorial tournament used to be. Playing with a bunch of righties, we hate different holes. Lol
@@whiteheat916 yo I lost a disc out there about a month ago. Green w/blue stamp 2020 koling Thunderbird
This course is about 15 minutes from my house. Let me tell you, being a lefty still hurts playing here. haha I would say most days I leave there wishing I was a righty but they've opened it up a lot more in the recent months during COVID and it's been great to see the course progress.
5:10 in Finland we call those ” Nikke nosto’s”.
Cool filming by Matt
I love the Massachusetts content. I want to see you destroy New England DG Center's courses next. Calico Creek ace run challenge would be dope.
Me: happy with a -4
Simon: " Well, missed a couple there. I guess I'll have to be happy with -17".
Wow beautiful course and bird song 🐦
I really like all the explaination of your shot before you play 👌🏻
Matt's a great cameraman. Loved the tips at 2:11 and 5:16.
dude i really appreciate this vlog format. its so informative
Simon- thanks for doing little education tutorials during your videos. I learn something new almost every time I watch them.
Glad to see you back on course again. Best of luck in 2021. Looking forward to more videos. You rock Simon.
What a fun watch!!! Thank you Simon and Matt! So good! I played Mountainside twice. Not easy. You made it look so smooth🤾💚
So cool to see you out at Mountain side on Monday! Enjoyed the video.
That course is friggin gorgeous.
Great video again. What a shot with the tilt! Can’t wait to see the tilt video you filmed. You make hard shots look so easy, Amazing...
I think it’s general consensus that disc catchers are the best basket.
DiscGolfPark is the best, disc catcher #2
I love disc catchers the most
Prodigy T2 is by far most consistent.
They are, best band best chains
The prodigy baskets are the best
Yoooo I played a round while u were there! I was the dude with long hair who looked like Thor. That was probably the best free course I've ever played
My favorite saying on the course, "I'll take it."
You have to take it. Those are the rules.
If you want to picky then I can be picky. You don't have to take it if you're willing to be penalized. Rules say you can rethrow but you take a stroke for the first throw, a 1-stroke penalty, and of course you also have to count the rethrow. I've seen it in videos of a couple different tournaments, one of them being the time a guy intentionally took 40 on a hole.
Simon your putting looked great. Good to see you playing at a high level. Showing that the hard work you put in recovering is definitely paying off
this mans throws so beautifully and effortlessly
Seriously. Even his little mid range stand stills get a full (beautiful) flight. One of the most talented disc throwers ever.
He's been playing since he could walk.
the disc trick at 9:51 ... legendary.
Great camerawork and narration, made it so easy to follow!
Beautiful course, fun day, fun video 👍
Let’s go! I need to catch one of those tilts on release day!
Release minutes* but yeah
Simon Thank you
Beautiful course, my kind of golf!
He made this course look so easy, which of course, it isn't!
Maybe it's just Simon doing Simon things but those md3s look pretty flippy for premium plastic!
Yeah I don't think eagle will like them if they're that flippy
That first throw, just effortless. Incredible!
Great video! Would like to see more vlogs like this
Disc golf is such an amazing sport, it's hard not to be a fan of all the players.
13:35 that air bounce was so clean bro!!!
"My bag is half Tilts" = my worst nightmare. I could probably throw the bag farther than the disc.
Love this course! Recently moved to central Massachusetts and play it quite frequently
Love mountainside! Though I’ve never seen it shredded like that. Maybe in doubles
awe the zooms on Simon when he face palms, very funny
I love these video's of just good disc golf. Very enjoyable. Nice camera work Matt!
This was really well done and enjoyable. I would love to see more solo rounds like this in the future.
It was incredible running into you there man! Had me shaking like a crazy!! (I was the dude in his Pajamas) 😂😂
3:33 ah the sound yes! 😁
What Elsa can I say except that its Sven awesome to see this woods round, Anna I loved watching Olaf the Tilt shots!
That course is real similar to the course near my house in North Carolina, except this one here, has 2 par 5s that are about 700 ft. through the woods.
Dude this was SO much fun to watch. Thanks!
One year later with the new p2 and he’s killing it!!!
9:33 that was one of the wildest splits I’ve ever seen it had less than an inch on each side
Simon is just so dang good. Gotta win some tournaments this next couple years
Excellent 🎥ing .. Thanks man.
Love to watch you play, Simon! 👍
Every time a Simon video pops up in my notifications its always a good day from then on. So I love when you post on the morning.
Minutia I know, but those tee signs were sweet!
Really bummed not to see you come to this week's DMC in Indianola Iowa. Its the first ever DGPT event we have had here. Tickets sold out lots of excitement wish you had made the stop like the rest of the tour.
I got two P2 prototypes the other day. I have only got to throw them around the yard. I do like the slightly tacky feeling. Definitely going to use them as my main putters.
I love this kind of vlog! Well made.
Simon, when you're in Europe, you'll always have a place to hang out and play great dg courses here in lat64 Skelleftea. Just say when and you'll be taken care of.
I like THIS cameraman better then last years... this one might give you credit for teaching him a thing or two as well. hahahaha oh casey
I know you’re from my area but I was actually shocked when I saw you were in Monson 😂 grew up there for 20 years in Texas now in the Air Force, wish I was home to catch you while you were there
Simon's Ricky impression on hole 14 was pretty spot on :P
Great job Matt
Congrats on the tie for 17th at the Worlds!
Get this man to one mil
Great video Simon . Here’s a idea . I think you should do a show like on barstool . Like the pizza review kind of thing but rate disc golf courses finding reviewed course near you or when on the road . It would be a hit . Anyways good luck so glad you are back on the tour .
Simon: Was that going in?
Me: No, it hit a tree.
We want to come back to Dayton Ohio. New course here 12 years in the making and by far the best course in Ohio. Echo Valley is beautiful and even par is 1000 rated
You make disc golf look waaay too easy, dude! (Also, your super slick putting in this video was so good it almost makes me want to change my putting style... almost ;)
Sick video as always. Thank you, Simon 🙏
Simon are you gonna come to European/Central European Championships?
I learned a lot. Great video Simon.
Simon, if you're in Connecticut, I can highly recommend Cranbury Park in Norwalk. It's on an old estate that was donated as a park.
If you ever get the chance to play Hummel its a woods course with lots of elevation and is currently undergoing a beautifying phase (new tee pads erosion control walls and even a few new pin positions!)
you absolutely shredded that course
Will love to see how the P2 fits in my hands when i get one.
On a side note; the outro music gives me chills, the good kind.
Great vid. More like this fo sho!
Day one of letting Simon know we should commentate a video together

2:20 - Flippy disc on hyzer goes left harder? This blew my mind
It's not that it goes left harder. It's that if you put it on enough hyzer, it'll turn left while it's flipping up, then hopefully it will have lost enough speed that it will travel straight and flat instead of continuing to flip.
When done correctly, it'll turn left hard because of the hyzer, but then flatten out and continue straight because of the understability.
An overstsble disc will definitely turn left harder, but it'll keep turning left the whole time instead of finishing straight.
This actually dawned on me suddenly standing on the tee pad of a tournament. Short, downhill, hard left turn. We were all throwing overstable putters or mids. But it made perfect sense: Throw it with a lot of hyzer and it will make the initial left turn while its flipping. After that it just uses that flippy glide to go go go on its new leftbound trajectory. A super soft Gateway Magic, btw.
Hence the words pushing hyzer or dumping hyzer
Great round and video
Love this kinda video Simon.
Totally love your videos. You such an amazing person. Would love to se more casuall videos from ordinary life. Like what your doing an ordinary day without discgolf 😊 Think ive been following you since you had like 3000 subscribers. So its been a while
Love the shoutout to Paul lol
when will you be in Milwaukee?! I live near, if you guys are out playing I would love to come watch!
Come to NC! I’d love to see you play Glenburnie Park in New Bern.
