Hi everyone, as I will be in Singapore the next 2 weekends to film the NDP 2024 fireworks from MBS observation deck and to watch a concert, I decided to film and release the August RTS updates earlier. Happy viewing and remember to subscribe to SG Yap : ) Thank you!
what a progress of the JB's marine viaduct with 10 complete spans! the transition pier on the JB side is finally taking shape for the final girder assembly works to the marine viaduct. hopefully, the assembly works on the entire RTS marine viaduct will be completed by the year-end of 2024. it's good to show the people going the "gotong-royong" cleaning activity at the Stulang Promenade in JB. the latest news on the KTM's EDTP project is that the ETS train service extension to Segamat is delayed to October due to ongoing testing and commissioning works along the Segamat section.
The launching gantry will move forward one more time to Pier #45 to hoist the SBG into positions. After that, the launching gantry will retreat all the way back to the initial starting position and complete the 2 short spans to join the marine viaduct to the land viaduct
@@SGYap looks like CCCC will follow Sunway's footsteps in terms of retreating the launching girder back to the original position and relaunching it in the opposite direction.
@@hamiltonastan Yes, after moving forward one more span to Pier #45, the LG will retreat back to original position to complete the remaining 2 short spans and join up with the land viaduct. Yes, looks like CCCC is following Sunway's LG footstep
Actually, the live cctv footage of the causeway, also available on UA-cam, also can see the RTS Link progress in real time. Nonetheless, I am amazed at how fast they accelerated the viaduct construction ever since they announced track access target by year end. Maybe after RTS Link finish construction by middle of 2025 thereabout, can move on to cover Jurong Region Line. By then JRL stage 1 already completed. But still can cover stage 2 (Tengah to Pandan Reservoir). Also an elevated rail project. And because it’s in Singapore, don’t need to go through custom.
Currently my plan is to provide updates on either Tanah Mehra MRT station or the Jurong Region Line once every 3 months while the RTS Link I will continue to provide monthly updates
@@KUKUMAIL There are already a lot of JRL construction activities within NTU compound. You can check out my update on JRL in this video ua-cam.com/video/8SS3N5n61sE/v-deo.html
Thanks for your Aug update. 1). Correct if I am wrong: The day to day operation n maintenance work of RTS will b managed by SMRT or its subsidiary directly under SMRT control is it? If yes, to it will b excellent. 2) Looking forward for speedy completion of southern stretch of ETS train service so that I can travel down to JB more convenient n less stressful.

They wanted a bridge that would allow ships to pass through to access their port therefore bypassing Singapore which Singapore obviously disagree. It's a political move. back then
Which is why it will likely be done at midnight, where traffic will be minimal. And there will be lane closures, or even partial road closures during the period

Love ❤️ Singapore
They build 24 hrs none stop! Bravo to the foreign workers 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The constructions at the Bukit Chagar RTS site has been ongoing non-stop day and night including weekends
SG side so tidy as always, not overwhelmed by too many elevated tracks or highways
The construction is quite fast. Good job
Most of the constructions should end by end of this year and next year onwards should be the installation of the systems and testing phase
Looking forward to this phase
Please take your time to build. No rush.
It ia a good guide to the RTS.
Happy to know that the video is a good guide to the RTS

Two different style in making bridges between Malaysia and Singapore....next is HSR Kuala Lumpur to Singapore....👍

Will it be a single track way? I don’t know if it is just me but the sbg does not look wide enough to fit 2 tracks lol

It is dual tracks, not single track. The SBG can fit 2 trains moving in opposite directions

@@SGYap oh ok
Hi Mr Yap 🐐❤
Hello : )
This could have been build years back thanks to special people whom cannot see far ahead.
The delay has also resulted in much higher cost for the project as construction cost went up a lot after the covid-19 pandemic
They wanted a bridge that would allow ships to pass through to access their port therefore bypassing Singapore which Singapore obviously disagree. It's a political move. back then
It's challengful for building cross the causeway. They can't stop the whole traffic there.
Which is why it will likely be done at midnight, where traffic will be minimal. And there will be lane closures, or even partial road closures during the period
Yes, MRT Corp often announced lane closures taking place late at night when traffics are the lightest
