Rabbits can be very expensive pets, I work at a veterinary hospital and the bill can be incredibly expensive. Even for people who work full time it is a lot of money sometimes in emergencies. Sometimes it can be $800-$1000. Unless your parents are willing to take on the financial responsibility of taking your rabbit to a vet in case of GI stasis, and other issues that can and most likely do happen at least once during the rabbits lifetime, no amount of convincing is worth the pain of having a rabbit very sick and unable to afford veterinary care. Please keep this in mind!!!!

Save up some money. have 1500 dollars usd if ur american. saved up. to help bunny proof the house, buy the setup etc. 500 or so of that would easily do all of that i think. depending on ur house etc. and the other 1,000 saved for emergencys as stated above. doing these 2 things, will help you help show, not just tell ur parents how serious and dedicated you are. and if for whatever reason they still say no. You are not out anything. you got money saved up for your own personal life emergencys. and can save it for car or whatever.

My bunny is getting better at being picked up. But like you...I wait for her cue to be pet. But...my bunny knows her name...will come when asked. When I ask for a kiss...she gives one. Tap on litter box and she jumps in. If I say bed...she goes to her bed. She understands these small commands ! My bun is afraid to be outdoors...all the noises, other animal noises scares her. But like you, I love her so very much.Such a sweet personality.

1:12 "i know ur not talking about ME!" look on Cinnabuns face lol. 3:30 mark. so yes it is a look into ur future. but a way to help side step the, Favorite parent thing. is to always stand united. Do things together as often as possible. positives and negatives.... with kids, u can send them to their room and wait for the father to come home or vice versa however that dynamic works for that day etc. and then explain it as a family. kids are rather pretty simple as long as u are patient and united. like pets u set boundraies. expect to be pushed and broken at times. be caring and understanding. etc like pets honestly. kids just cost more and talk back. thats the main difference.. unlike pets as u well know. u cant wait. cant simply explain things etc.

Cinnabun is an adorable bunny 🐰 🐇 😍 💕! Our bunny 🐰 🐇 doesn't like to be picked up by anyone! He is a rescue 🐰 bunny! He was 3years old when we adopted him! After he was with us for a couple of months he started letting us know when we were going to be allowed to pet him! He is a free roam bunny 🐰! He likes to sleep in the downstairs bathroom! So cute! The Brian thing is much simpler than you think. He has hairy legs. When I wear shorts and flip flops, Caye loves grooming my legs. Scares the crap out of me when I'm reading or napping.
"The Disney Dad" I love that LOL! It is the SAME case here! My Delilah cannot get enough of my boyfriend because he gets to do all the fun stuff. He's always giving her treats and mama always has to be the bad guy! I'm the same with the nicknames lol!
My biggest wish would be, no chewing. My Toffee is free roaming during the day when I’m there, but has a massive pen for nights. If he didn’t chew, he could stay out all night. I just don’t trust him. He is also a rabbit that likes something to learn against when he’s sleeping. The next thing I don’t really like is when he’s shedding. The fur is so fine and soft, it sticks to everything. It’s so hard to hoover. No matter when I leave the house, my trousers have rabbit fur stuck to them. I now have those sticky fluff removers everywhere. One stays in the car too. My fault really as I can’t resist a cuddle before leaving.
As a holland lop owner myself. These too are all things I wish I could change about my bunny as well. I absolutely love him and couldn’t imagine life without him though
Your children will love you more than him for disciplining them. My mother was that mother. She and I are closer. I love my daddy, trust me I do. But it's always "mommy mommy mommy" until she gets tired of me calling her.
My bun always responds to 'sir little mouse', 'do you want dinner?', 'can you please stop?', I'm sure he gets way more, but mostly doesn't care. He definitely listens to my husband more. I can talk, move him, politely ask, not politely demand, he doesn't care. If he wants something his way it will be like that. I'm also so happy that he has stomach made from steel. He can eat anything and never gets ill. One thing I would change about him is how stubborn he is. Sometimes you can see that if I do something like making bed he likes sheets to be flat, but just to annoy me he digs in them. Then sits there, I make bed again and he flops there, so it's on purpose for sure. Or when I try to tell him he has to go to bed (so his room) he will act like he's not there, but when I say 'okay, you can sleep in bed' he starts to binky. He is smarter than any bunny that I knew in my life. But I also talk a lot to him. He can answer 'no' by shaking his head and 'yes' by blinking twice in a row. I have no clue how he learned this, maybe by imitating me?
The only 2 things I wish that would change about my bunnies is they would stop chewing on my phone wires. And I wish they would like bring cuddled. But they love to be petted.
I wish my bun was more cuddly but she has warmed up a lot since we got her. 😊 The biggest thing I'd change is the high need for chewing and the sometimes destructive behaviour.
OMG my bunny looks exactly like Cinnabun, but is a boy bunny. And yes, he only wants cuddles when he wants, and doesn't know his name when i call him - Unless I crinkle a treat bag! 🐰🐰🐇🐇
Mine are the same they don’t like to snuggle only on their terms too, they snuggle with each other and I want go to them and cuddle. Mine also like to mark with pooping even though they are litter box trained- but it is easy to sweep up. But they love treats and come racing to the treat bag but the treats have to be urinary treats, since one of my bunnies has gotten bladder sludge before. But they love their greens, small amount of pellets and hay! Mine know their names. Your so cute having so many names for her.
My bunnies with B letter names all learned their names, so I didn't rename them when I got them, not that they would come when I called, but they would perk up and see if it was their turn for food. My bunny without a B letter name could discern the letter in T, in "time for bed" and she would come running up to me when I said this to get her bedtime vitamins. So cute. I think its because they hear all the different inflections and tones when we speak, we probably never say something exactly the same twice. My baby Misty seems to also be starting to learn her name, but her sister Ebony can't seem to tell her name apart, so the letter M must be easier for them to discern also. :)
I really enjoy watching your videos! CB is so cute, but even cute little fluff balls have their improvement points. I had to smile when you mentioned those nicknames. My buns all have a HUGE number of nicknames too, and even share some of the same. Very confusing to a bunny.

Marshal loves to cuddle, on his terms. If he walks up to you, goes on his back legs, and you don't pick him up, you are in the dog house for the rest of the day! Even watching this video, he's sitting on my lap giving kisses. He knows his name and loves it when I call him Marshmallow. But Filbert, Don't even pet him unless he wants you do, he knows his name, but ignores if you call him, unless you have his fav greens at the moment, and that changes almost daily. If my husband comes into the room, Marshal is all over saying hi, and Filbert will hid lol Such different personalities! I love it!
I can relate to everything you said in this video. The only time I get to pet my bunny Puffy is when I have treats in my hand. I am the one in the relationship that has to pick him up so I am the one he shies away from. I also have several nick names for him although I do believe he knows his name , he just chooses to ignore me when I call him.
Having worked in the zoo environment for many years I can say most females prefer males ,it's a hormone thing, even if they have been spayed. CB is flirting in her own sweet way 🐇❤. Try putting some treats in a container and shaking it when you call her. Start close and move further away ,reward her with a stroke or treat and CB will very quickly associate the two then you can just call her. Great videos ,hope this helps 😊
All of my 3 buns know their names. They would run towards you immediately if you call them by name. Every time you give treats/food to her, try to say Cinnabun 😄🤭
I do disagree just a little on words. My rabbit will respond to her name IF I use drama. But she def knows “No!” And she DEFINITELY knows “snacks” lol.
Mine also is not a snuggler. He will get on my lap on his own but if I try to touch him he jumps off. Picking him up for nail clipping is also very stressful... 😫
I literally have the same last problem with my guinea pigs because of the plethora of nicknames I call them 😂 smore became smorby,smore baby, smorb, smorbie worbie, smorbius and the list will probably go on😅
I definitely feel your pain on the stasis struggles. I have a female Holland too and she has the same, exact issues. And it ALWAYS hits at night when there's no vets open too. I've actually asked my vet to allow me to refill GI medication the prescribe her whenever I need to bring her in for stasis and they legally can't because its highly toxic to humans. Something I have found that can help her recover is liquid simethicone gas drops for babies. You can get them basically anywhere that sells over the counter medicine and baby stuff. Give her 1 ML of that every 8-12 hours when she starts exhibiting signs of stasis and keep an eye on her pooping and eating. If she starts eating and pooping again in a few hours it may save you a trip to the vet. Omg, I can empathize so much with the affection one. My girl will accept pets when she feels like it, but she does not like being hugged or handled. Both from my personal experience and from what I've read, male bunnies tend to be more affectionate and outgoing with their humans while females tend to be a bit more stand-offish. If you're ever looking to get a second rabbit, you would probably love an American Polish male. Both of my boys have loved being hugged. Pepper in particular, when I got down on my knees and called him he would come running and jump into my arms to be picked up and hugged.

They have bee been very informative this is also my first rabbit and I'm very nervous cuz I never owned a rabbit befor in my life and I kind of got this rabbit on accident it was my cousin's mom's daughter's rabbit for like a couple weeks and I noticed that the rabbit keep escaping the cage escaping her porch escaping to the yard and one day the guy who gave her the rabbit told me that since the rabbit was bonding with me more all the time I should have it and when I got home my boyfriend just fell in love with it and she's a girl her name is meh meh and I've been watching all your videos and it has helped so much. Ever since I got her I've been pouring myself 8nto into articles and videos books post anything that can help me with rabbits and so far I have got her potty trained for the most part and I have paper bedding pellets and unlimited hey she does eat the proper amount of herbs and vegetables and only fruit twice a week. Also I do garden so I do know a lot about the properties of the herbs and vegetables as she eat and how important it is and I to have digestive problems so I completely get the sensitive digestive problem part as well I think honestly this is actually the kind of pet I actually should have had earlier in life having a rabbit has been very rewarding so far but we only had her couple of months so I'm crossing my fingers she's very good at being picked up she doesn't completely hate it she actually does jump on my bed to ask for attention as well and I pretty much just drop everything and ❤give her attention when she wants to cuz I read and watch videos that's what you should do with your rabbit and I was very ecstatic the other night cuz she actually for the first time gave me a bath it was the cutest thing I've ever seen
Jin is my second bunny he sometimes responds to his name as in his ear goes forward to cover his eye, he's a mini lop so it's definitely like a game of peek a boo when I call him. He is snuggly but hates being picked up, so if I'm chilling on my bed he'll jump up for pets and then do flops or super bun next to me. I am super paranoid about GI cause he is fluffy like the vet and groomers have said he has to have Angora in him. He's had one case of GI during a malt that terrified me cause he is baby but got him to the vet they got some medicine and I came home used some CC and he lapped it up then 24 hours later he was back to jumping on the bed for snuggles and demanding extra food.
I got two baby bunnies and i didn’t know that they fight when they turn into teenagers 😢 so now i have to give one away but i have emotionally attached to them ❤BTW love your vids and their names are Peter and Benjamin
I am so sorry to hear that. I am just curious if they are fixed? If not, that can happen. Bunnies also do so well and are meant to have a companion as they thrive with a bunmate....I had two bunnies that started to fight and after they were fixed they were ok. Hopefully that helps and sending you bunny hugs!
She is a sweet bunny! And bunnies hate to travel, they are very territorial.. Our bunny (rescued) is really scared of unknown places. Another thing that bunnies react to (after having known our 6-7 bunnies) is smell. So the difference between you and your boyfriend may be as simple as perfume in your soap etc. My bunny hates when I have petted a dog.. Our bunny reacts to sounds, like a sweet little whistle, not her name. I don't use it either. :)

Hi! If you are talking about bonding your rabbit with you, then it can take a few weeks or a few months, depending on the rabbit. You just have to be patient, offer treats, and resist petting until they are a little bit comfortable. Then, move on to a little bit of petting, and eventually, you can pet them all the time. hello I’m new here cause I recently got a holland lop bunny and she’s been so happy and giving kisses (licks) but then she hasn’t for a while she’s hopping in circles inside her cage, also when I let her out it’s as if she’s running into walls and objects and kinda hiding in the corners and not interested into eating, she’s also doing a loud grinding noise with her teeth. if you could be please help or give advise it would be really helpful thank you ❤

Girl in addition to the fun parent, I’ve noticed that my bun loves men more than women 🤭. I’m a woman and she loved me, but that took awhile. When women come around, she’s cool with them. But when men come around, she follows them to the end of the world! 👀
The ideal about the snuggle... you need to be on the floor. Its their area in order to snuggle them. =). See Brian is sitting on the floor, which is almost a must to get a snuggle bunny. Read, see movies, on the floor. She will not suffer without treats, its human brain thinking we need to give them something in order to be happy. My bunnies get 85% hay and 15% sallad... thats it. sometimes banana or fruit if I eat it. And bunnies to like new things. In teaching about animals is that new surroudning is a good thing time to time, dont be affraid of it. Due to the loop ears, they might not hear, check her hearing if you 100% understand the sounds, My Idar dont hear... i have to blow air on him. loop ears have an extrem selected hearing to either something that scares them or from eyesight, so no they dont hear that. Take a dutch.. my dutch comes on income call from across the whole flat. But you doing great =) Love your videos

I am so thankful my boy loooves being held. He will scratch at my ankles until i pick him up if he really wants to be held. He loves snuggles

But they love treats and come racing to the treat bag but the treats have to be urinary treats, since one of my bunnies has gotten bladder sludge before. My bunnies with B letter names all learned their names, so I didn't rename them when I got them, not that they would come when I called, but they would perk up and see if it was their turn for food. My bunny without a B letter name could discern the letter in T, in "time for bed" and she would come running up to me when I said this to get her bedtime vitamins. So cute. I think its because they hear all the different inflections and tones when we speak, we probably never say something exactly the same twice. My baby Misty seems to also be starting to learn her name, but her sister Ebony can't seem to tell her name apart, so the letter M must be easier for them to discern also. :)

Marshal loves to cuddle, on his terms. If he walks up to you, goes on his back legs, and you don't pick him up, you are in the dog house for the rest of the day! Even watching this video, he's sitting on my lap giving kisses. He knows his name and loves it when I call him Marshmallow.
But Filbert, Don't even pet him unless he wants you do, he knows his name, but ignores if you call him, unless you have his fav greens at the moment, and that changes almost daily.
If my husband comes into the room, Marshal is all over saying hi, and Filbert will hid lol

I can relate to everything you said in this video. The only time I get to pet my bunny Puffy is when I have treats in my hand. I am the one in the relationship that has to pick him up so I am the one he shies away from. I also have several nick names for him although I do believe he knows his name , he just chooses to ignore me when I call him.

Having worked in the zoo environment for many years I can say most females prefer males ,it's a hormone thing, even if they have been spayed. CB is flirting in her own sweet way 🐇❤.
Try putting some treats in a container and shaking it when you call her. Start close and move further away ,reward her with a stroke or treat and CB will very quickly associate the two then you can just call her. Great videos ,hope this helps 😊

All of my 3 buns know their names. They would run towards you immediately if you call them by name. Every time you give treats/food to her, try to say Cinnabun 😄🤭

I definitely feel your pain on the stasis struggles. I have a female Holland too and she has the same, exact issues. And it ALWAYS hits at night when there's no vets open too. I've actually asked my vet to allow me to refill GI medication the prescribe her whenever I need to bring her in for stasis and they legally can't because its highly toxic to humans. Something I have found that can help her recover is liquid simethicone gas drops for babies. You can get them basically anywhere that sells over the counter medicine and baby stuff. Give her 1 ML of that every 8-12 hours when she starts exhibiting signs of stasis and keep an eye on her pooping and eating. If she starts eating and pooping again in a few hours it may save you a trip to the vet.
Omg, I can empathize so much with the affection one. My girl will accept pets when she feels like it, but she does not like being hugged or handled. Both from my personal experience and from what I've read, male bunnies tend to be more affectionate and outgoing with their humans while females tend to be a bit more stand-offish. If you're ever looking to get a second rabbit, you would probably love an American Polish male. Both of my boys have loved being hugged. Pepper in particular, when I got down on my knees and called him he would come running and jump into my arms to be picked up and hugged.

They have bee been very informative this is also my first rabbit and I'm very nervous cuz I never owned a rabbit befor in my life and I kind of got this rabbit on accident it was my cousin's mom's daughter's rabbit for like a couple weeks and I noticed that the rabbit keep escaping the cage escaping her porch escaping to the yard and one day the guy who gave her the rabbit told me that since the rabbit was bonding with me more all the time I should have it and when I got home my boyfriend just fell in love with it and she's a girl her name is meh meh and I've been watching all your videos and it has helped so much. Ever since I got her I've been pouring myself 8nto into articles and videos books post anything that can help me with rabbits and so far I have got her potty trained for the most part and I have paper bedding pellets and unlimited hey she does eat the proper amount of herbs and vegetables and only fruit twice a week. Also I do garden so I do know a lot about the properties of the herbs and vegetables as she eat and how important it is and I to have digestive problems so I completely get the sensitive digestive problem part as well I think honestly this is actually the kind of pet I actually should have had earlier in life having a rabbit has been very rewarding so far but we only had her couple of months so I'm crossing my fingers she's very good at being picked up she doesn't completely hate it she actually does jump on my bed to ask for attention as well and I pretty much just drop everything and ❤give her attention when she wants to cuz I read and watch videos that's what you should do with your rabbit and I was very ecstatic the other night cuz she actually for the first time gave me a bath it was the cutest thing I've ever seen

My boy Zipper is hyper, social, cuddly, lap bunny who doesn’t like to be picked up in a normal bunny way.
Jin is my second bunny he sometimes responds to his name as in his ear goes forward to cover his eye, he's a mini lop so it's definitely like a game of peek a boo when I call him. He is snuggly but hates being picked up, so if I'm chilling on my bed he'll jump up for pets and then do flops or super bun next to me. I am super paranoid about GI cause he is fluffy like the vet and groomers have said he has to have Angora in him. He's had one case of GI during a malt that terrified me cause he is baby but got him to the vet they got some medicine and I came home used some CC and he lapped it up then 24 hours later he was back to jumping on the bed for snuggles and demanding extra food.
I got two baby bunnies and i didn’t know that they fight when they turn into teenagers 😢 so now i have to give one away but i have emotionally attached to them ❤BTW love your vids and their names are Peter and Benjamin
I am so sorry to hear that. I am just curious if they are fixed? If not, that can happen. Bunnies also do so well and are meant to have a companion as they thrive with a bunmate....I had two bunnies that started to fight and after they were fixed they were ok. Hopefully that helps and sending you bunny hugs!
My bunnies do know their name so my guess is it's because it's not what you always call her.

She is a sweet bunny! And bunnies hate to travel, they are very territorial.. Our bunny (rescued) is really scared of unknown places. Another thing that bunnies react to (after having known our 6-7 bunnies) is smell. So the difference between you and your boyfriend may be as simple as perfume in your soap etc. My bunny hates when I have petted a dog.. Our bunny reacts to sounds, like a sweet little whistle, not her name. I don't use it either. :)

Hi! If you are talking about bonding your rabbit with you, then it can take a few weeks or a few months, depending on the rabbit. You just have to be patient, offer treats, and resist petting until they are a little bit comfortable. Then, move on to a little bit of petting, and eventually, you can pet them all the time. hello I’m new here cause I recently got a holland lop bunny and she’s been so happy and giving kisses (licks) but then she hasn’t for a while she’s hopping in circles inside her cage, also when I let her out it’s as if she’s running into walls and objects and kinda hiding in the corners and not interested into eating, she’s also doing a loud grinding noise with her teeth. if you could be please help or give advise it would be really helpful thank you ❤

Girl in addition to the fun parent, I’ve noticed that my bun loves men more than women 🤭. I’m a woman and she loved me, but that took awhile. When women come around, she’s cool with them. But when men come around, she follows them to the end of the world! 👀
The ideal about the snuggle... you need to be on the floor. Its their area in order to snuggle them. =). See Brian is sitting on the floor, which is almost a must to get a snuggle bunny. Read, see movies, on the floor. She will not suffer without treats, its human brain thinking we need to give them something in order to be happy. My bunnies get 85% hay and 15% sallad... thats it. sometimes banana or fruit if I eat it. And bunnies to like new things. In teaching about animals is that new surroudning is a good thing time to time, dont be affraid of it. Due to the loop ears, they might not hear, check her hearing if you 100% understand the sounds, My Idar dont hear... i have to blow air on him. loop ears have an extrem selected hearing to either something that scares them or from eyesight, so no they dont hear that.
