My son had to bring a unique recipe to school as part of a class assignment. We found this video, and tried the recipe. Apparently it was one of the teacher's favorite childhood dish. My son got an A+ lol. Thank you for sharing this recipe Mark.
We are in Thailand for Christmas. My goal is to have mango sticky rice every day. So far so good. Today I ordered mango sticky rice at terminal 21 Pattaya. They also put toasted Black and Tan sesame seeds on theirs. The combo with the crispy mung beans was just delightful!
My wife is from Thailand and I also knows how to cook. For the coconut milk toppings for the mango sticky rice, we will thicken the coconut milk by adding with corn starch mix with a little water to improve the shinning texture of the coconut cream. for another sticky rice fragrant, you can also add in pandan leaf juice to the sticky rice before steaming to make it more fragrant. .
It's impossible to not feel happiness when watching your channel. Thank you for sharing a taste of your culture with all of us! I am going to make this with my daughter as soon as our pot and bamboo steamer arrives that I ordered. (I wanted to make it just as you do!). Have a great day! ☺️
Here in Korea, mangoes are expensive because they are not grown, but the ripe mangoes are so delicious. You made delicious food with mango. I tried mango rice on my trip to Thailand.👍
Thank you for this recipe last week my daughter took me to this Thai restaurant we ordered a mango sticky rice desert it was out of this world love it so much that I run into your video I made it it came out delicious thank you again.
Wow, this man's recipe literally made my mouth water the whole time in this video. It looks so very delicious. The best sticky rice dessert recipe. Yes, in this video, he used sugar. In another video, there was no sugar nowhere. This is the best sticky rice video that I watched. Great job. Thank you. One last thing but very important. I would not eat sticky rice dessert with mango for sure. I would eat it with avocado. That is how I first ate sticky rice in a thai restaurant and that is how I am used to eating and I like. And frankly, mango doesn't go well with this dessert at all. Avocado goes very well. Mmm, delicious.
Just found your channel. Love your personality while giving us something delicious to make & eat. This dessert is my personal favorite! Thank you so much.
Just made this and it turned out so delicious. 😋 Next time I want to try it with the yellow mung beans. I gotta say, it was pretty cool steaming the rice with the bamboo cone.
I love this video! Mark is so fun to watch, he is enthusiastic and excited. When I was in Thailand I did not get enough Mango Sticky Rice. I am so happy to have found this and his website. I can’t wait to make this recipe tomorrow!
Ok please make a great video like this forever okay. THANK YOU.
I L.O.V.E. the fact that YOU are cooking!!!!! You have your own flavors and tasts that you prefer even though you could cook a traditional dish or your twist on a dish from ANY country. I would like to see what dishes you coukd cook. Great Job!!!!
one of my favourite dessert when i went to thailand. when i came back home, my mom made this mango sticky rice for a month bcause we missed it as soon as we arrived home.
In the Philippines we have a similar mango sticky rice except for the mung beans. We cook it in pandan leaves or lemon grass and coconut milk. It's called puto maya but it's eaten often with mango as breakfast food. You can sprinkle brown sugar as toppings. The entire cooking process is a bit different but the concept is the same. It's been a decade since I had one of those.
avarice seven im from philippines but i never try that puto maya .. maybe cause i grew up in cavite and laguna .. but the taste of sticky rice w. mango its so familiar to me and your right the procedure is just different :)
In indonesia, we have sticky rice with durian gravy (durian flesh cooked with brown sugar n coconut milk) and sprinkled grated tender coconut flesh on the top, yummm
We grew up in our province in Pampanga, Philippines with this sticky coconut rice dessert( not sweet but salty) ( it is called locally in Pampango as - Inangit )and fresh ripe mangoes. 🌺🌼🌺 Thank you very Matk Wiens for sharing this yummy recipe which brought my childhood memories. 🌼🌺🌼Southeast Asian food similarities in our part of the world🌸🌼🌸
TNP CMF it's the eyes.he has deep set eyes like mine. People always mistakenly think too that I'm tired or lack sleep. I just hv naturally deep set eyes nd under eye circles even if I sleep for 15 hours.lol
Thank you so much! I just made this recipe for my daughter. It's delicious and the advice to stir the coconut cream/sugar mixture slowly into the steamed rice made the texture perfect! 👍🏼 Love all your shows. 😀
Another favorite of mine! I never knew the technique to making the sticky rice and always wondered how it was done. Thank you for sharing! I cannot wait to try this!
I love it but ,but the part that I like about your videos is when you taste the food you make my mouth water ,I want to get inside the screen and joined you to devour what ever your eating I loved it lol
Oh my word. I can't even tell you how delicious this Mango Sticky Rice looks. The only thing I'm not sure of are the roasted mung beans.......the sticky rice, mango, and coconut cream all have such a wonderfully silky, soft texture. The mung beans are roasted, so they must be crunchy. I think I would rather stay with the silky alone. I was thinking how good the rice and coconut cream and sugar would be, and then add dark raisins and turn it into a rice pudding! You look like you enjoyed the dish. This is the first time I've seen you cook! Keep up the fantastic work, guys! I sure love watching your travels with Ying and Micha! Such a sweet family!
I recently stumbled upon one of your videos and have been watching you travel and cook ever since.Really refreshing to see such a genuine person in this fake vlogging society. All the best and take care.By the way I am from India and had been to Thailand on my honeymoon.

The moral of the story, is that bribing your way to the top is the way to go.
Amen to that
