Could you please so a video on these near arc or near plate boundaries volcanoes where slab windows are thought to be the cause of the unusual location of these kind of volcanoes, like mount Edgecomb and clear lake volcano. Please, thanks.
Please could you do a video on what actually happens in an earthquake? Is there a correlation between the Reichter scale and the distance of plates moving against each other? Does fracking lubricate microfaults and cause quakes?
Volcano activities around the world have increased, thanks for the update from 38 to 45 is a big change! Unfortunately it will increase as time progresses
Could you, at sometime, do a segment on the volcano on the island of Thera. It is about 70 miles north of the island of Crete and helped in the extinction of the Minoan Culture. Thank you for your consideration.
I wonder what Italy budget is for fixing homes with all ground going up and down. I mean is that an insurance thing, or they build homes to withstand that now?
As I understand it from a distance, many people live AROUND Campi Flegrei, but not so much in the area of ground movement. The Italian government has been actively trying to get people to relocate away from the danger zones of Flegrei and Vesuvius by various means, including restricting building construction in those areas. I imagine an insurance company wouldn't even touch it. "You want to build a house WHERE? HAHAHA"
They would have to move a hundred kilometers at least too be outside the danger zone of Flegrei. It's a lose-lose situation no matter what they do. @@nortyfiner
@@xwiick True that if there were to be an actual supervolcano eruption, the entire region would be screwed. They're more concerned about local eruptions and trying to lessen the number of people that would need to be evacuated near the volcano.
Even lower number VEI eruption will collapse buildings in and around Naples just from ash. Its sadly a horrible situation but i understand why people don't wanna move and take their chances i wouldn't move either. Living in a Area of Norway prone to big landslides i love this land and ain't moving either xD @@nortyfiner
They are impossible to effectively monitor or estimate. Many undersea volcanoes have never been located definitively or at all since they're so deep that steam and gas emissions get reabsorbed into the water above.
Thanks for your update on Mt. Edgecombe, wouldn't have seen it anywhere else.
Having spent time in Sitka, it is good to hear Mt Edgecombe is not currently a threat to the lovely people of Sitka.
Thanks for keeping us updated.
Ever since seeing Mt. St Helens (absolutely beautiful) I have been so interested in all volcanoes.
My first volcano was Vesuvius
@@Vesuviusiskingmine is pinatubo
Im so happy you dont get stuck on THE news and you keep it coming from all angles. Keep it up , from Yuma AZ
You should cover the two 4.2 socal quakes because everyone thinks the big one is coming. Your videos are getting better every day
Thanks as always! I hope everyone is doing well!
Thanks for all of your hard work man!
Erta Ale's recent activity is quite interesting.
Hey can you do a video on the huge amount of volcanoes on the Baja California peninsula?
Thanks.
Campo Flegri says “it’s just shrinkage! I’m not deflating it’s just shrinkage. It’s cold outside!”
I’m so happy I found this channel, I know basically everything about every volcano😂

Yes fracking cause quakes.
Fracking doesnt cause quakes, it does lubricate faults in the fraked area and make slippage easier.@@xwiick
PLEASE keep the graphics on screen long enough to be read!

Just pause
@@xwiick slowing down is also a thing.
@@cmotherofpirl the whole point of this channel is quick videos without much wasted time. You can always pause or play the video slower on your end.
@@xwiick the whole point of a video is for people to see it, learn something, and enjoy it. 3 more seconds wouldn’t kill him.
Vanuatu has had 3 decently strong earthquakes in the last 5 hours, sunday Jan 28, (M3--5) and 6 in the region.

New landmasses might be getting cooked. For new ppl after fruitful unions.

This has been done. the volcano itself is in Santorini
God protect us. Lord have mercy on us 🙏🙏🙏

Hey there is a magma chamber underneath Denali mountain it is officially a volcano now.

At min/sec 4:40 - - What about the volcanic action of the millio+ volcanoes at the bottom of the earth's oceans?
They are impossible to effectively monitor or estimate. Many undersea volcanoes have never been located definitively or at all since they're so deep that steam and gas emissions get reabsorbed into the water above.
4:33 so the UK (and Australia) claim part of Antarctica? I guess it’s true: the sun never sets on the empire (…and sometimes never rises either…)
Toba is the true volcano. Fishy wat they cook with all that hot molten lava. Cook, bake, roast, toast? Wat is it?

Sakurajima is much more active. Couldn't compare it to vesuvius.
