I wonder who makes it. I would guess Hogue, they are really good with magnacut and with otf’s, but the Kershaw Livewire they make comes with magnacut for mid 200’s I believe. I’ve seen the 20cv version for like 220.
Perfect knife to put the aftermarket micarta scales on that make the handle much more comfortable and neutral. Best upgrade I’ve done on my minimalist.
I really really wish that CRKT would eventually make the Provoke EDC with a zytel/polymer handle for reduced overall weight in multiple different color options . Also, make it with an S35VN blade that has a dark stonewashed finish in it, as well as a dark stonewashed finish on all the hardware and pocket clip👍
Because people dont want to spend premium prices on knives made of 8cr13mov steels, crkt has done a lot of knives that were more expensive costing than the materials oughta make it cost @@Mridgwell
There literally is a full-size ritual in 14c28n. Lots of people like assisted, lots don’t. Everyone is entitled to their own preferences, but perhaps this knife isn’t for you if you aren’t looking to carry an assisted?
I really like the straight! I'm always on the lookout for a pocket knife that I can whittle wood with. Given that a Flexcut folder starts over $100, I think the straight for $50 is going to be a good budget option. It's got kiridashi vibes for sure
CRKT has some great looking knives coming out this year. I don't really understand how the Jade G10/Aluminum/S35VN Q is $195 (way too much) and the Carbon Fiber/Titanium/Magnacut Q is $225??? The Titanium Q price makes sense but the Aluminum Q does not make any sense. Regardless, great job Ryan and George. Glad to see CRKT coming out with more premium knives!
I ordered the otf. Super exited to receive it. Im a huge fan of otfs but too many of the nice ones have glass breakers on the back. The pattern on it also looks amazing and I have been on the look out for a smaller otf to pair with my kershaw livewire. This isnt going to be a work knife but it will make an excellent dress knife.
Huge miss on only offering the upgraded steels on pink and purple. You are appealing to the smallest consumer group of pocket knives. Who is charge over there? Nobody had the balls to raiser their hand and say, why only pink? I’d order one asap if I could get the upgraded steels with some natural or green micarta.
lol microtech makes a few otf’s under 300, I think even a couple have Mc. The real issue is the Kershaw livewire with magnacut for 250ish. If like to know who is making the otf. I’m betting it’s Hogue, they do great with magnacut and they make a better otf than microtech at the base level. Not taking into account the new zero blade play microtech
It’s because these are still in development for the most part, they probably don’t even know what they are going to charge. On top of that I learned a long time ago that in the knife world, for the most part means absolutely nothing compared to what they sell for, I’ve seen as much as 40% less than msrp for street price on knives.
CRKT, please please please please release the minimalist like in higher quality steel, even a d2 or 8CR would be great. I don’t wanna pay $100 for the 154cm version. Something else, please!
CRKT as a company has one of the lowest percentages of knives available for ambidextrous carry of all makers. And the 2025 release is no exception. The M-16 is one exception and looks like a nice knife with a good lock. I know that for the CEO it depends on the model. But along with Boker, and Protech, The company lacks the commitment to make their knives available widely for left-handed carry. Thankfully, we have other makers like Benchmade, Spyderco and Cold Steel That take care of their left-handed customers
Please tell the guy with the glasses where the camera is. He likes to hold the knives at an angle that the camera can't see. He doesn't seem to get it.
D2 is a great everyday use steel the issue with it usually is a bad heat treat from too large of a production run. But if it has a decent heat treat, which I would hope crkt would do, it is a wholly viable option… for the right price of course.
A easy action OTF shouldn’t have to cost $300. I have a couple from another company that’s less expensive but the action is so hard I’ve had to return both to be adjusted. This shouldn’t happen. Although I do love CRKT. But they are starting to price themselves out of my range.
Microtech screwed me up. I couldn’t care less about any OTF now that I know they all have blade play. I also don’t know why they would put the fancy colored material on the pocket clip side? Its also made by Houge. You didn’t come out with an OTF, you borrowed one. Despite all this, it’s much better than the claymore OTF series Benchmade came out with. Those are a bad joke. Real bad.
If i have $300 to spend on a knife i doubt crkt is going to even be considered. Under $100 and something different and interesting is what crkt is for.
I just received my Minimalist Katana in 8Cr from you guys last week and I'm definitely a big fan of the whole Minimalist line itself 💯 But I would really love to see CRKT upgrade the steel for the Minimalist Keramin, its Hawkbill blade shape The only reason I went Katana>Hawkbill for my Minimalist blade shape is due to it being 8Cr13MoV>5Cr15MoV steel 😒 With the Hawkbill being a more difficult blade shape to sharpen, that makes me seek out a much harder blade steel with higher edge retention in my next Karambit I personally find both to be a bit soft, but 8Cr can at least hold an edge for more than like few days IME If the Minimalist Keramin had Sandvik or D2 as opposed to the current 5Cr though... I certainly would've gone that route instead of the Minimalist Katana in 8Cr 🤷♂ But regardless, I'm very satisfied with my first purchase from BladeHQ & CRKT and will certainly be back for more of both 😆 I have the skeletonized Schrade Karambit in AUS-8 on my list as the next possible Hawkbill/Karambit shape knife I might get 🤔 But since I JUST received my Minimalist, I'm going to hold off for a bit and keep looking while get to know the Minimalist a little better along with this Kershaw Natrix I got with it 😅 With the roughly BILLION knives BladeHQ has in its inventory, I'm really glad to see these highlight videos on the coolest, newest, and best things available from you guys 👏 Thank you, George and team 🙏 Please keep the videos coming 😂
Testing welds on a nuklir sub a couple years back a whistleblower discovered China Syndrome alive and well outside the civilian power industry. No one wants to rock the boat, sorry my sub breathren, and lose millions recertifying every weld on a boat, ship or knife factory. You want to put this comment section to rest in a meaningful way? Redo the tests and certs at a lab in direct competion with original tester. You'll certainly sell more knives. You might even recoup loses on original lab tests if the first lab could care less if your core drops into China.
You brought SOME innovation to the M16 line again with the cross bar lock like you did a few years back by introducing the deadbolt lock into the series and finally upgraded that AWFUL clip, but then you go an ruin it by using shitty chinese D2...just use 14c28n...its stainless, tough, and not bad to sharpen. Come on CRKT. Also you use 14C28N in only the pink and fusia models of that new squid line...and then shitty D2 in the color ways that will actually sell 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ You guys need a new product development team.
The BladeHQ dude reminds me of the pharma rep from "Better Call Saul". I could see him driving a Hummer H2 with spinners and flames.
Lol totally
The OTF is $300 btw for those wondering.
Ouch. . . Thanks
I wonder who makes it. I would guess Hogue, they are really good with magnacut and with otf’s, but the Kershaw Livewire they make comes with magnacut for mid 200’s I believe. I’ve seen the 20cv version for like 220.
Is the $300 msrp or street price from a retailer?
@@chrisjosekuehlyep oem is hogue
No thanks
Niiice lineup CRKT! The minimalist and OTF look like great ones! The whole lineup is pretty good
CRKT FINALLY trying again!!!! YES!!!🔥🔥🔥
That minimalist with those flytanium handles will be a knockout!!
That ivory one is nice too
Ok m16 with cross bar lock is actually sick.
Definitely love my Crkt collection it’s not big but it’s getting there
They need to call up Hogue and have them make some more crossbar lock knives for them to slap the CRKT logo on.
The Minimalist Nessmuk white satin Sandvik is the hot cake here 5:00
Perfect knife to put the aftermarket micarta scales on that make the handle much more comfortable and neutral. Best upgrade I’ve done on my minimalist.
Shits hot. Instant buy for me
Same here finally better steel not the 8cr13something soft aluminum steel 🤣
85 Bucks for 420j is robbery
Some really good designs this year! 🔥
*Edit* I ended up buying the 12c27 Nessie minimalist.
I'm actually not mad at crkt for once 🤷🏻♂️ Hell yeah
I really really wish that CRKT would eventually make the Provoke EDC with a zytel/polymer handle for reduced overall weight in multiple different color options . Also, make it with an S35VN blade that has a dark stonewashed finish in it, as well as a dark stonewashed finish on all the hardware and pocket clip👍
Put'em in a vault suit and he'd looks just like the Fallout 4 bobbleheads.
finally a CEO withe the correct clip
Only new model so far is the OTF. It's the same knives with a different color or lock.
I am once again begging them to release a version of the full size ritual in at least 14c28n and without the lame assisted opening
They seem to be more of a soft steel gimmicky company. Lately they’re finally getting some better steels.
Just get a real one from Folts
Why?
Because people dont want to spend premium prices on knives made of 8cr13mov steels, crkt has done a lot of knives that were more expensive costing than the materials oughta make it cost @@Mridgwell
There literally is a full-size ritual in 14c28n. Lots of people like assisted, lots don’t. Everyone is entitled to their own preferences, but perhaps this knife isn’t for you if you aren’t looking to carry an assisted?

Anyone else not surprised that boy really likes the pink & fusia models AND has felt his share of C.E.O.s?
Interesting name on the OTF but looks really good!!
How is 12c27n tougher than 3v steel? 🤔
That walker is cool
Will the Nessmuk minimalist ever come in a black version...?
CRKT has some great looking knives coming out this year. I don't really understand how the Jade G10/Aluminum/S35VN Q is $195 (way too much) and the Carbon Fiber/Titanium/Magnacut Q is $225??? The Titanium Q price makes sense but the Aluminum Q does not make any sense. Regardless, great job Ryan and George. Glad to see CRKT coming out with more premium knives!
The difference in price is negligible between cf and aluminum and cf is definitely easier to mill than aluminum.
Check out cobratech abalone. My brother got it for me. Beautiful.
I want that M16 -14xd when will it available
Wake up babe new minimalist dropped! 5:00
HZ stands for Hira Zukuri which is a style of Japanese blade design.
I think i've got a Ria in 12c27 ..! ^^
I love that pink OTF so much I'm considering selling a kidney to buy one. It's your fault BladeHQ if I don't survive!! 😁
Do the 12C27 is better than D2 ..? ^^
What,,, the 12c27 is more resistant than cpm 3v ..? Strange. But cool ! ^^
i wish the black handle squid had a black blade to.
Why have jimping on the walker's blade if you can't use it to thumb flick and it's inside the handle when the knife is open.
the bottom of the screen is where the subtitles go. Can't see anything you are doing down there if I want to know what you are saying
I finally found the Minimalist I must have, I want it to be my backup skinning knife. If it had pink scales it would be perfect.
Q & Tuna should get together creating Hybrids.
Leider sieht man die

Sollen wir die 2 Jungs kaufen?
squid 😂ugly man for real if that doesn't fail I'll be shocked
Please do a 154cm or s30v minimalist :( upgrade steel please its been over a decade
We Need The BT Fighter Tanto in D2 of better steel with liners!
I’d like a M16-03 with tan micarta or tan G-10 and a black blade
A $300 OTF with magnacut? Microtech needs to take some notes.
lol microtech makes a few otf’s under 300, I think even a couple have Mc. The real issue is the Kershaw livewire with magnacut for 250ish. If like to know who is making the otf. I’m betting it’s Hogue, they do great with magnacut and they make a better otf than microtech at the base level. Not taking into account the new zero blade play microtech
Knives can be expensive btw for those wondering.
Who told you 12c27 was tougher than 3V ?
,wonder if they have fixed their heat treat problem? Knives I've bought from them in the past have been terrible.
There has been a 3D print file available for free online for 15 years that the Provoke copies 😳
Just watched SMKWs video on CRKTs new lineup and they didn't talk prices on that video either... Not a good sign.
It’s CRKT so you know you are going to be getting something with 8cr and AUS-8 level steel but paying S35VN prices.
It’s because these are still in development for the most part, they probably don’t even know what they are going to charge. On top of that I learned a long time ago that in the knife world, for the most part means absolutely nothing compared to what they sell for, I’ve seen as much as 40% less than msrp for street price on knives.
Bring back the Heiho! Someone stole mine 😢
It's a shame you didn't tell the prices ..! ^^
When I pay an OTF it has to have some meat to it
Missed opportunity. Nessmin
Only care for the nesssmuk.
CRKT, please please please please release the minimalist like in higher quality steel, even a d2 or 8CR would be great. I don’t wanna pay $100 for the 154cm version. Something else, please!

@@chrisjosekuehlonly on the limited exclusive one. I mean all the lineup have better steel

7071? Do you mean 7075? Or 6061?
Helloo y'all 🤠 🇳🇱
D2 in 2025? 😮
Better than the shit they usually use
D2 is still a completely usable steel in 2025.... Absolutely nothing wrong with it.
Stop crying
D2 is a great everyday use steel the issue with it usually is a bad heat treat from too large of a production run. But if it has a decent heat treat, which I would hope crkt would do, it is a wholly viable option… for the right price of course.

Sandvick premium steel 😂

We need convex grinds, not hollow grinds, on knives. It's simply superior.
Why doesn’t Chris reeves knives do convex edges
That otf looks super thin and gas station colorways. Yuck
Yeah, as an amateur leather crafter that Straight looks really nice!
