as some one who has experience in MMA, football, rugby and basketball, this could be one of the hardest sports to play. amount of coordination you need is unbelievable.
Im from Spain, we dont play ice Hockey but im super interested in it! I would love to play this sport, but since it is impossible Im trying to learn the basics, like rules, teams, players, where and when to watch matches... this video was a bit confusing but pretty helpful! Thanks!

The mighty ducks the movies and the new series ‘the mighty ducks: game changer’ has really opened up my love for the game and I really wanna play so I’m trying to learn and I’m gonna try and convince my parents to let me play, sounds stupid I know but I’ve fallen in love with game and it’s sometimes I really wanna do with my whole heart it’s different from all the other sports I’ve played

I was at a hockey game last night and during the game, I started to wonder, how do players know when exactly to go off or on the ice in the middle of play? like, does 1 player substitute for another? and when the player goes off the ice back to the bench, the other player goes in for him or do the coaches know when a player needs to get into the play of the game at a certain time of the game? (Im only 17 and I sometimes try my hardest to make sense lol)
the coach tells the players which group he wants out there next (called a line of players) and then when one player comes off the ice the player on the bench who’s playing that same position hops on. and they get on or off whenever they’re tired or when it makes the most sense strategically
On the icing rule, if the player scores it counts. Third penalty is not suspended it starts at stop of play, teams can have many players in box(I have seen up to 6).
It's referring to a penalty shot. Basically if a player is clearing on a break away or within close distance going towards the net and is impeded, the player will be awarded a penalty shot. I think what he is implying is that this can also be awarded if impeded in the neutral zone and it was clear that the player would of had a clear 1 on 1 against the goalie

It's just team curiosity. Sort of like in Baseball how the infielders put up their fingers of how many outs left to the outfielders. The goalie only puts up his hand based off the linesmen doing it first to indicate icing.

International Ice, especially in europe, has a bigger ice surface and no trapezoid. I could be wrong about the trapezoid tho.
