Zendaya was method dressing in Balmain. Her most recent film, Dune, is mainly set on a desert planet called Arakis where the most valuable resource is water (having palm trees outside of a palace is a great show of wealth). The earthy tones of the dress as well as the 'wet' styling (hair and the way the dress looks like she has just stepped out of the water) nod to this. Got the term 'method dressing' from the 2021 Emmy's video!

I saw it on Instagram, and was immediately in love. They even added pictures for the reference to it being sculpture like.
The draping of Zendaya's dress reference the wet look technique that was used in old european sculptures to highlight the body of the figure but also to show off the skills of the artist.
Timothee's shiny black outfit is my favourite male fashion moment all year, I'm obsessed. I wish the Balmain dress Zendaya was wearing was in a different colour because the fit and silhouette is beautiful.

The pattern of Jessica Chastain‘s dress reminds me of corals in a very nice way - which I think makes the necklace with that bluish hue fit even better and gives the whole look a sort of Ariel/mermaid vibe which I really enjoy.
It really does :) makes me think of tiger stripes a little bit, like something ripped. Very cool though

Let's face it, even when Zendaya's outfits are "bad" they're still better than most.
Lately I’ve been very aware of how stylists tend to style actors. You can see the case where it’s obvious the brand or the stylist get benefited by putting someone on a horrible piece. Others who plan this things ahead like Zendaya, (I think the dress took 4 months to be made ).
When it comes to actors it’s a little different than with artists who have a certain aesthetic or people that work in the fashion industry.
With that in mind I have to actually say I loved all of kristen stewart’s outfits. They made my day and contrary to Margot Robbie’s case I think Kristen looked beautiful because she looked comfortable. It seemed to be a look that enchanted her personality.
I still like how you can point out certain technical aspects and I would love that stylist can be like that. Maybe they don’t agree with the client’s opinion but I think the job of the stylist/ fashion house, should be to collaborate with the person that’s been dressed…a bit like Audrey Hepburn and Hubert de Givenchy ✨

I thought Zendaya looked remarkable from the front but the shots from behind revealed peculiar draping that made the back of the dress look strange and a bit sloppy. Kristen looked great in her second look but the first would have benefitted from a few more inches on the bottom or a shorter jacket to make it less awkward.

Am I the only one that likes Kristen's mint Chanel outfit? I thought the outfit was different and perfect for the role she is going to portray in her next film. She is going to be starring in Spencer in which she is playing princess Diana. And Princess Diana is known to wear dress like this with pants more formally known as salwar kameez. She has sported this type of look multiple times and I liked how Kristen chose to wear this outfit by Chanel because it might have reminded her of Diana.

I think you're really good at explaining these looks. I keep thinking these are great explainations of looks for someone who has limited sight. I don't know if that's intentional to be more descriptive, but I think it's pretty good. I can't speak for those with limited sight, but I keep thinking this is how I would want to explain something to someone who asked for a description. You address cuts, layout, textures/ fabrics, accents, descriptive colors, and additional expressions of design (i.e. opening similar to a tulip) I thoroughly enjoy listening to you explain these looks. You're good with details.

So well fitted and that flare with the amount of fabric, just looks weightless versus Ana Joy and Adriana- Ana’s Barbie pink was so heavy with the “dead animal” (as you put it) and the hat. If Ana’s second dress was fitted and has some structure would have been a knock out. Love Kate Hudsons dress too.

I believe the Timothée Chalamet brown outfit was from Haider Ackermann, not Vuitton. And the Zendaya Alaïa moment was actually from the Dune Paris premiere, not Venice. Amazing outfit nonetheless, this was a really solid collection overall for Pieter Mulier, and I love when celebs don Alaïa in Paris.
