As someone from Tennessee I can tell you Southerners love fried or fatty meats. You really missed an opportunity by not making them lechon kawali, crispy pata, or sisig haha
Love the guest too, coz they seems honest and not boring! Or awkward! They asked questions also to the host so its not just eating, they having a conversation too

hey man, i really enjoy your video. those two guests are so cute, they really enjoy eating those food. shout out to you. love from manila, philippines.
nice job with introducing Pinoy food. Filipinos are not allergic to vegetables, baka nakalimot kna, we have so many vegetable recipes from the most simple to the most matrabaho: steamed okra, steamed talbos ng kamote with bagoong and kalamansi, laing, pinakbet, ginisang munggo, sinigang with kangkong and assorted vegetables, ginisang ampalaya with egg, ensaladang talong, sardinas na may pechay, adobong sitaw, ginataang kalabasa na may sitaw... palagay ko sa susunod mong vlog introduce these Pinoy vegetable dishes. More power
@@Grishnak777 well he didn’t say ALL Filipinos. I personally can relate to the YT. I love veggies now as an adult but growing up I always picked the veggies out from my dish like for example the pancit. Anything leafy down to the onions I picked out only ate the meat. When it came to nilaga, we just ate the beef and soup, forego of the pechay even. As a matter of fact when asked “where is the veggie” my mom would say “well, may patatas naman, right?” I kid you not, altho she is technically correct. Growing up, if we were eating fish or veggies, we felt like we were missing out, if we don’t just eat the meat😅 It was a common joke in our household that we were “allergic to veggies and fish”.
OA nyo it was said as a joke... nagtawanan nga sila diba.. si afam nag hanap ng gulay sa adobo... just like when you spend too much money pwede mo sabihin allergic sa pera... syado kayo litteral.
🍓🥝🍅Filipino dishes are absolutely delicious!! The Southerners are also meat lovers. They love savoury foods.Well done and thanks for sharing my friend.🫑🌶🍏
Filipino Leche Flan doesn't have egg white (albumin) because that was separated from the eggs during the Spanish Era to create mortar for constructing stone and concrete buildings. The leftover yolks were use to create the dessert.
The history lesson is Ridiculous and typical of Filipinos trying very hard to impress the foreigners who are laughing at your efforts! Leche Flan is just sold in the streets of Vietnam and Colombia. Every country in Europe has their Flan. Its just a Flan. Filipinos think only the Philippines has a flan. They have it everywhere in South America and its not a big deal.
I wish he showed what he actually served them, not just the picture on the background-which had too much glare. Nonetheless, it’s interesting and the couple seemed to have enjoyed tasting them.
Thank you for the feedback. Usually we have several cameras when we film but we had a limited crew this time. We’ll keep this in mind for next time. Maraming salamat po!
That was a fun video. I was laughing when you said Filipinos are allergic to vegetables. It was funny but it is only partly true though. We are allergic to veggies when we are kids. lol. A lot of dishes for feasts are mostly meat heavy but there are also dishes that has a lot of veggies for ordinary days. The ones I can easily mention is the chopsuey and pinakbet. In Iloilo we have what we call "Laswa" (the emphasis is on the first syllable). It is a vegetable soup that has string beans, okra, squash, malunggay, tomatoes, onion, saluyot, kamote tops, eggplant, patola and sometimes dried fish or shrimp. The soup can be described as clear although a little green with all the veggies and a little slimy because of the okra and saluyot.
There are a lot of Filipino vegetable dishes, sometimes cooked in coconut milk. Bamboo shoots, puso ng saging, squash, green beans, cabbages, sili leaves, malunggay, papaya, bulaklak ng kalabasa, carrots, potatoes, sigarillas, sayote, etc are common ingredients. We literally have a vegetable song “Bahay kubo.” Filipinos are definitely not allergic to vegetables.
So desperate to make the adobo more interesting. No one eats Adobo with a salad dish. Its not even served with papaya pickles which is used as garnish rather than side dish on BBQ items. It is fascinating though to observe how Filipinos try so hard to make the adobo interesting by making it seem like there is a manual on how to eat it. Adobo is not served with tomatoes and cucumber to cleanse taste buds. No one in the Philippines puts food on the table to cleanse their taste buds.
Vegetables can be used in adobo but seldom because adobo is cooked to preserve meat longer... putting vegetable makes it spoil easier.... also taste would be different if with vegetable.... except for some like the string beans, eggplant, etc... usually vegetables are added on the sides
Grave ka sa mga Filipinos. Some Manila people are the one who are very fond of eating meat but in the province mostly people eat vegetables. Lagi niyong dinadown ang lahi natin, kahit joke lang pero hindi nakakatawa.

Historical fact: The spaniards taxed filipinos preferably for egg whites and egg shells. They used the egg whites for white washing buildings and churches. The egg shells were used to make a sort of lime cement. It was used to build wall fortifications, churches etc.. The egg yolks ended up a daily fare as dessert because there were so much of it.
LOL! are you so insecure of your food culture that you need to recite Trivia about history to make a flan interesting? It is just a flan. In Cambodia they just sell flans on the market. leche flan is just Creme Brulee, which the poor in Vietnam can buy on the street.

Lumpia, pancit, adobo, sisig and barbecue should be mainstream. These are delicious food and any palette will appreciate these.
They actually started selling lumpia at groceries here. Progress.
