Hey, I just wanted to say this is a great guide on how to use your mod manager. The program itself and all of the mods I have installed since finding it (all yours so far) have been amazing. I found you through Infinity Gaming. If you didn't know, they give you, your mods and the mod manager shout-outs in their Icarus mod videos. If I may make one small suggestion, in your Elevators mod, could you add in the description that the elevator itself is crafted in your inventory? I admit I should have thought of this before I went through every crafting station, restarted the game, removed and reinstalled the mod, but it might help someone else from doing all of that in the future lol. You do some great work, keep it up! I am looking forward to trying out more of your mods!

THANK YOU so much for this easy to follow guide on setting up modding for Icarus. I have only just started playing and am surprised at how limited the game is for player functionality considering it is 3 years old. Simple things like no round building pieces? in the past I played both Skyrim and Fallout4 modded and even played with Creative Lab and made my own island with a dungeon. Now I have found this for Icarus, I am going to enjoy it so much more. I hope maybe there is a mod for fast travel haha. I am not good at combat being older and not so good on the controls, thank you
@@-Free.Spirit- I have a teleporter mod. It’s a workshop item and comes with 1 base station and a handheld remote. Clicking the mouse button with remote equipped will teleport you to the base unit. Then walking back on to the base will teleport you back to the location you came from. Makes emptying caves much quicker. You can have up to 2 base units. Right mouse button to one and left mouse button to the second.
Great work on all you do for us Icarus players Jim. I was wondering if it is possible to make a "light rain / thunderstorm" mod or add a switch on your custom settings UI. I like the thought of working by the cozy fire or cooking up some grub inside , with the sound of rain and thunder outside, maybe even seeing it trickle down the greenhouse glass, but isn't chaotic and ripping trees and buildings down and sending hellfire upon all of our hard earned structures. I am no where close to a modder so this may be way more work than it's worth. Just a thought as I am a casual/cozy Icarus player and many of your mods have helped me achieve that. If something like this is possible I would be happy to donate towards such a mod if it isn't a crazy ask. Either way, keep up the awesome work, I appreciate and download pretty much every mod you make.

Love the IMM , just having a problem with a couple of your mods in game , 1 . the Mass Storage mod can not see storage to place and the hand held unit always shows as something else. 2 the windmill generator will not let craft in the workbench , have all the materials in the bench just want craft , any help would be appreciated , keep up the good work
Another couple of questions, I play mostly solo, but some friends started a server that I want to join. They probably won't use any mods. Can I leave the mods I have installed and still play on their server without issues? If they want to use mods, does only the host need to download them?

@ depends on the mods you were using. If you don’t load into a save that you were playing with mods you will be fine. I use the lists feature in IMM and name it to my open worlds so I know what mods I was using in that save.
I followed your instructions, and once downloading the mods and closing the mods window nothing shows up on the left, any suggestions what happened? also any plans for a free build type mod? that's my main reason for looking into your mod manager.
@@bradjf8787 was there any errors in the log screen at bottom of form when downloading? As for free build, there is a check list above the merged mods list on main form. If you select creative mode and speed crafting this should be what you’re looking for. Then just click merge mods and it will add those options to your merged mods and add to the game. Enables free crafting of all deployables and no waiting for them to craft.
Can some one tell me where are a language files are? I want to translate this game and finde only something from menu and some command words. After update u can forget thath gonna stay same..
Hey im using the mod manager with great pleasure, but i have a little problem with you leveling mod and couldnt find how to contact you. So im above level 200 and do not get any talent points anymore, but there are still some talents open that i dont have on the character. Is there some way to fix this/ get them anyway?

@@ironch3fq498 yea my mods are an extracted mod format I created that only contains the changed json so they don’t need to be re done every week. Once they are added to the mod manager you just re add them every week after the game updates.
Hi. I have cracked Icarus and when i "lunch game" goes to steam and shows the "not valid licence" mesage. It's possible applie mods whit cracked Icarus?

I'm not a moder and I'm not going to claim that it is easy to do so but, would it be possible to get a mod that pulls resources to crafting benches, from boxes in the area, for items? Such as. go to a bench, see that a steel pick takes this this this and that, push a button that says pull for resources and then poof, all necessary resources are in the bench now.
@@mattthompson3653 at this time that is not possible. They use an inventory system that is specific to each item so no way to pull from other storages.
@@Infinity.Gaming2023 Exmod stands for extracted mod. IMM extracts only the changed json from the json files. EXMODZ stands for an extracted mod that is zipped to save with size.
Could someone here tell me how I can edit safefiles or a mod that does so? I would love the caveworm set on all my characters. How can I unlock the set, without going to the tier 4 grind mission for every single one?
Make sure you have enough room on your hard drive. Also if you have a slower computer it may take time to create the merged mod. Also make sure you have the correct unrealpak version.
I have some questions about your "Extraction 5/10 Seconds mods". The description in mod manager is for "Floofs Icarus Mods", so I am a little confused. Does this mod include all of the changes in the description and speeds up extraction? And does this work for the Vapor Condenser?
Hi, just wondering if you can think of any reason I can't download the mod list databse, I just get a can not download error yet there is clearly something there when I open the link in my browser.
@@lachlannewport make sure you installed it in a non windows directory. You don’t wanna install it on your desktop or your OneDrive or my documents ect. Mine is installed on a second hard drive. Most people I know install it in there program files X86 folder.
@@J2tallrich you would create the merged mod and add it to the same folder you do on your local pc. You may have to use a ftp program to access the folders and then create the mods folder to transfer it to.
Jim, do you know if using the Creative mode mod (or any other) will prevent Null Sector from showing in Prometheus cont4ct device Operations? I've finished all Prometheus open world missions, nothing related to Null sector..no Prototype Trail Beacons in Tech tree.. Ugh..
@@CocoaBeachLiving sounds like you have an outdated mod. Make sure you re merge your mods every week after the update. Once steam updates the game, run IMM and it will auto update its data folder. Once that’s done just re merge your list and it will add the updated versions to your game and you should be all set.
@@LUISPEREZ-n5l there is a language file that is in the mod manager folder. It shows the words and then what to display in program. Just change the second part to match what you need.
@@stratcat3216 I use Delphi to develop it and it uses the same common classes when compiling that malware developer use so it gets flagged with false positives. It’s a known issue to Delphi developers. Some weeks it’s positive then it gets reported by other devs and then gets cleared. I can check to see if my GitHub was compromised but most likely it’s just a false positive. If you goggle Delphi software and malware positives you will see what I’m talking about.
LOL I really hope the next release that opens the new area doesn't Disappoint! I still feel this game has so much potential they just need to add more unique missions and some really cool alien landscapes to explore with new creatures.

@@LUISPEREZ-n5l when IMM is installed there is a language.ini file that has the English on the left and what shows in IMM on the right. If you change the value on the right that will be displayed in IMM. That is how I set it up but have not had anyone use it.

@@daveberndt3197 would love that but the heaters/ac adds a local modifier(aura) to cool/heat. As soon as it’s off it goes away.

@@terk5499 make sure you are re merging your mods each week after steam updates game and make sure there is only one pak file in your mods directory.

i had the same issue, followed to the letter.
Could you add sorting to mods list? Like by the date of update or filtering out obsolete mods?
Old PAK mods are filtered out by default. If you click the top of the columns they will sort by that method.

hi sadly the creativ mode seem not to work on all machines (Material Processor) and the lower grade one
@@hanswerner6882 it’s set up for only some benches/items. It’s more for building things, not so much for getting materials.

You need to select the contents folder in Icarus folder, regardless of where your game is installed.

You can play multiplayer with mods as long as everyone has the same exact mods added to all clients and the server.

It only speeds up the extraction of exotics. Some of Floofs mods were not updated so I updated them.This must have been added to this mod by mistake.
So how can i get this to work on my icraus Nitrado server?

what do you do when you have 2 mods conflicting? which file do you need to choose when the screen pops up

Your software may be infected. Anti virus always hits it as MALEWARE. If not, then it's intentional.
