Hi, nice vid again! Can you make muscle museum? In the intro part, the effects to emulated the sound is so weird
Hi bud. Thanks very much. No worries, I've already made my Muscle Museum video. It should be out next week or the week after, keep an eye out for it. Hit the notification bell to make sure you don't miss out.
Gotta say, this is really convincing me to get a Prime Distortion. Normally I like to avoid distortion pedals, as I like my sound coming from my Plumes cranking up my amp, but that MXR pedal you got there just sounds really sick. Nice gain, it's tight, and doesn't sound like too much is going on (by this I mean it is easy to distinguish the notes and what not)
If you wanna get a Prime Distortion go for it. I find its good for riffs and power chords. Fuller chords get a bit harder to pick out each note as you said.
very glad this came up in my feed, I love this concept
Anthony Sclafani thanks so much! Glad you liked it. Hope you’ll check out more of the channel
@@harrychrisrobin will do!
The concert at 7:12 I think it's the one they played at "L'Ancienne Belgique", is that correct?
I am Belgian and I am discovering your UA-cam channel, you are doing a really good job !! Thank you 🇧🇪
Man you know how much I love your version of this song and the video is really great as usual!
Thank you so very much! It really means a lot. Glad you like the new video. Is there a song you'd like me to make a Sound Like for?
@@harrychrisrobin You're welcome man 😊 and actually yes I would love to see a How to sound like New Born video cause you know that's my favorite song and I really love your tone on the metal medley video!
@@paul-eloivives9043 Ok man I can look into doing New Born at some point for sure!
@@harrychrisrobin great man nice to hear that! Can't wait to see the next episode!
thanks man. Next sound like it out on Wednesday
Superbe vidéo!!! Merci!!
This was crazy in dept. thanks a lot man
Yes i love this song
A classic isn't it. blew my mind when i first heard it. You have good taste my friend
Excuse me sir, YOU ARE GOOD!
Thank you so much for the support bud 😁🤟
I love how much you go into detail about the tone because I have so much trouble getting good muse tone out of my fender champion amp with my strat,I feel like there is so much to learn with pedals and stuff and I've never really figured out how guitar pedals work despite playing for a while and I'm just using the gain on my amp.Maybe it's time to start investing in some pedals and maybe a new amp
Thank you for that. I could easily get carried away by talking about my approach to tone
I feel that single coil guitars like strats aren’t the best for muse songs. A bulkier sound from a humbucker works better on the whole. It’s well worth looking into pedals to expand your sound in general. Looking at your amp is worth doing. You should for sure do your own research and look for what you want to go for
Impressed that you did the weird pick angle for the verse 2 bass doubling. I would have probably tackled that in post so it’s sick to see a technique that can achieve that
Matt Honnor thanks man! It always stuck out to me that section and I would wonder how it sounded to scratch them I figured that swiping the pick on the strings would achieve that. Shame I kind of messed up the playing on the D string but what can you do ey 😂
Nice guitar. I have the same Model but with the built in Fuzz. From 2013. Best guitar I have ever owned.
Your videos are really useful. Thanks!
iEddiez they’re great guitars. Really enjoy mine with the sustainer
You forgot the kill switch intro at all... :3 nice video bro!
Thedex97 there was a few I left out, like the people of the sun intro too. There’s just so many you can do. Glad you like the video dude 😁😁
Thank you so much for this video!😊🙌 maybe a stupid question, but in which section of the song do you use the phase pedal?
thank you. i had to rewatch a bit of this video because of your comment and i really should do a revised version of this sound like for Hysteria. In this video i don't use the phase 90. with the old looper switch i used I had to set it up in a way that worked for a lot of songs. so it engaged the phase pedal in a few loops, but i just had the pedal turned off. how i run my rig now it is much more customised for this song so i might to a new sound like video for Hysteria in the future.
@@harrychrisrobin ahh okay, get it! Thank you so much for responding😊😊
What are your amp settings on Hysteria ? I search the tone
Great video. Thanks.
Barrington Haynes my pleasure. Really glad you liked it. Hopefully you’ll stick around for more videos 😁
hey man, great video! can you make a video or a cover of Interlude as well? I figured out the chords but I'm struggling to play smoothly and to strum it perfectly.
Brian_ Mahdi thanks very much. I really don’t think I’d get much out of doing a video just for interlude. Maybe I’d put it in if i were going to do hysteria maybe
@@harrychrisrobin indeed. that'd be great
Great Video! May I ask you which amp that you use to make that sound? Thanks
Thank you so much.
I simulate my amps, its not just one amp that you hear. When I made this video it was two that were blended together. Since then i have increased this to four amps.
I previously did a video on my amp set-up, i may create a more updated one in the future.
I am a beginner in electric guitar... What pedal?... It isnt clear
I’m sorry it wasn’t very clear for you. At the top of the video I do go over the pedals that’s are being used
The intro riff is with an mxr prime distortion
Chorus is a boss os-2
Solo is the prime distortion with a digitech whammy and a doss dd-7
@@harrychrisrobin thanks, i'll try it😁😁
Where’s interlude?
Francis Flynn not in this video 😂
never understood why people do octaves for EACH note of the intro
J Melara what do you mean? Do you play just the single note?
Harrychrisrobin Yeah, I’ve always seen Matt play a single note after thefirst octave he plays
J Melara I believe he plays octaves for the whole thing. The bend on the B is just a single note but the rest are all octaves.
Harrychrisrobin That’s what I’m saying, I don’t know almost every cover I’ve seen uses octaves for the whole thing and not a single not for the b string parts
J Melara I guess you can play it how you want. I just play the higher string on the b bend to get more voice and attack out of it
