The biggest plot hole and issue I have with this series is them turning superman, when the infect (I.E. the vampire infection) doesn't like sun light or UV radiation, and that is literally what powers superman, it's in his cells, he should've been immune to the change
I feel like I’ve seen that somewhere before either with Superman or something else where the dude has sunlight cells and it just burns them when they bite down
they probably dosed superman with kryptonite, making his cells weak, making him weak, then infect him, he is now probably just an ordinary vampire, since vampire cannot absorb sunlight
He was under the effect of kryptonite when he was bitten
It probably would make sense if the whole vampire thing is magic
You guys have to watch the video they posted titled “Core Member of the Batfamily is the Vampire leader” or something along those lines. But its them breaking down and summarizing 4 issues and one of them was Issue 6. Batman blew Kryptonite into his face & he was weakened to the point to where he couldnt stand. He was essentially depleted of his solar cells arguably.
I want this made into an animated movie.

Heroes that should be immune to vampirism
All Kryptonians (the solar energy in their cells would burn it out even with out the sun)
All green lanterns (the ring would purge his system)
Plastic man (his body is non-organic)
Raven (demons are higher ranked them vampires thus immune)
Etrigon (same reason also add the other demons)
Solomon Grundy (he is already undead)

@@nekota2908 he betrayed Batman to go to talon, in one universe he kills Batman and takes the mantle, in another universe he kills Dick Grayson by accident and joins Superman and taking over the world. He betrayed the teen Titans at one point. And the list goes on
He can be, he’s not a monster and he went threw some unique hell- so he’s trying, and aside he’s the only shot of even a small chance of stoping the vampires, so what other card is there to play? And I’ll also add he got turned while trying to avenge his father- so I don’t see why he would have any allegiance and especially a step-brother relationship towards dick after that.

I really like the astonishing times comic you guys created. Its really cool and like how it's a murder mystery. It's something new that we don't get to see in other comics. It helps and inspires me to try to create my own stories and help other who want to do the same
How can Superman be a vampire and still have his superpowers if they are powered by sunlight?
Yeah seems like a paradox, having sunlight based powers yet being a creature of the night that fears the sun
His kryptonian DNA would cause Superman to burn the vampire infection from the inside out. Regardless, it's really stupid to just turn Superman into a vampire without him trying to devise a plan.

I just keep thinking of an old story run with the JLA, where a Vampire lord tried to turn Superman into a vampire with his bite only to find he couldnt due to Superman being an alien and his blood being toxic, all he could do was keep a hypnotic mental control over the kryptonian.
Also i'd have thought Dr Fate could literally clear the skys with a gesture, or generate minature suns as required, surely in such a dire situation Nabu would take full contol over whichever apparently inept host is wearing his helmet...

You raise good points. Dr. Fate actually kills some vampires using his sun-creation in this comic. If he could make sun rise indefinitely on earth just to clear out the vamps, I think that'd be too OP for the comic's plot.
@@ArborealOreo Thanks, i think its the problem i have with the story really, DC's heroes are so varied and capable that a Vampire incursion really is just tuesday if it involved all of the DCU's heroes. The situation would never have gotten so bad and so the writers have to nerf characters or make them stupid to allow the plot to work.
@@thedivineswordpoet4401 Now that i think about it even if they did have a Vampire Kryptonian, they would have a huge and rapid power drop without the sun to replenish them.

I haven't bought a comic in over two years but when they omnibus this best believe I'm throwing my money at them
It's kind of hard to properly write vampires as world conquerors in DC comics bcuz of Kryptonians. Thoz guys are, in a sense, the ultimate "kryptonite" for the vampires. Their cells absorb sunlight & they shoot heat vision, most likely composed of sunlight. They can probably solo vampire characters, unless they're sun immune.

I like this title for the most part- The only thing that is kind of unenjoyable about this book is how so many of the heroes seemed to become evil vampires immediately after they were turned- Zatanna, Hal Jordan, Wonder Woman Superman, and others went from being good, kind hearted, moral people to vicious killers murdering innocent people and their fellow heroes with no hesitation- this personality change was also immediate making their actions even more crazy. It wouldn’t be as jarring if some people didn’t retain their old personalities and remain good (like Damien Wayne)- it’s never explained why this is the case.
This is way both Dceased and DC Vs Vampires are awesome stories that dc black label are producing along side the murphyverse Batman beyond the white knight series.
This series, and The Dead Planet series, are the best things that DC has done in years.

I still wonder where’s Jonathan Samuel Kent superboy because you think out of all the characters Damian Wayne robin would’ve saved him his best friend.
Since it's an else world and he's fairly new they probably decided to not add him and spotlight kara more. He's already a main in Dceased.
@@StrawRabbi that could be the case and honestly while I am disappointed he's not involved in this story especially because he's big gun that really could help turn the tide against these vampires and seeing Jon kent superboy teaming up with Damian Wayne robin as the super sons against these vampires would be really awesome and tons of fun.

DC has been so inconsistent with Firestorm lately. Sometimes he is just a joke that can be killed by anyone, other times a near-omnipotent god.
Random question for anyone: When Grayson eliminated Bruce instead of turning him was that a) better to be rid of him than have a vampire conspiring against them all or b) a mercy ending because deep down Grayson knows Bruce would rather be dead than become one of them? Or maybe a combination of the two?

As much as I love the DC universe, seeing this recurring trend of zombies and vampires and werewolves in comics is getting old. Craving something new.

Considering there was a dimension where literally everyone was a werewolf, I honestly think that DC could pull off a vs Werewolves storyline.

Why would the vampires turn Superman and Power Girl? Their powers come from the sun and if it’s been blocked off they’re just regular vampires then. If Supergirl is de powered then so should they.

he was severely weakened with kryptonite first. note we haven't seen him SINCE he got turned, last i checked.

call me an dork, but I would have loved a halloween episode of Arrow that features Olivr Queen fighting vampires
two things, first how do Power Girl's powers work? I'm don't actively read comics so I don't know if she is solar powered or not? I know her powers use to be different then Super Man and Super Girl but google searches just say she is an Earth Two kryptonian. Is there a difference between Earth One and Two kryptonians? Was that changed and now she is just any other kryptonian? Her having powers and Super Girl not in this comic just furthers my confusion
second: how does a Super Man vampire work? In your last video on this we see him destroy the white house in daylight. Is he, and any other kryptonian, a daywalker? Why wouldn't the solar energy in his cells fight off/destroy the virus? If Damian can be so vengeful (I'm assuming) to fight off the king's control and try to kill Nightwing and help the heroes, then why can't Super Man be good hearted enough to also help the heroes?
that last one is just a personal gripe cause I like the blue boy scout being a boy scout but I can put that aside for else world stories cause they're else worlds
This series is one of my favorites year, but I don't get how Superman would keep his powers as a vampire only because we have seen his powers need to be recharged every now and again, so how is this yellow sun superhero supposed to recharge his powers as a vampire. So what eventually he will just be a normal vampire without his solar powers?
Green Lantern can stand in the sun thanks to his ring converting the Yellow light to Green.
Superman's body does a similar conversion from Solar Radiation to the Electrico Magnetic field that helps hold his atoms together vs tougher strikes, and fuels his powers. Its likely the Sun would either cancel out and just keep him as powerful as he is, or he becomes a Daywalker
But in another comic, when Dracula tried to bite Superman, he exploded as his cells are like mini suns. Still not sure how they would have turned superman or even been able to bite through superman’s skin

I want to like this series but the first of it just makes so many characters look stupid Wonder Woman would never never get hypnotize by a vampire and superman dude has 50 different visions and his super hearing he could immediately tell who was a vampire, Martian manhunter would read their thought to confirm his subsipuitons because he is detective, about a dozen other reasons why the first half is terrible but the second half is really good when the vampires take over the earth and their is a small resistance against them that is pretty cool. Ps vampire superman should be dead the second he turn into a vampire because his powers are based on absorbing solar energy from the sun and most vampires die from what sun light even if he only come out at night guess he be dead from that two because the solar rays that reflect off the moon are just as dangerous because his body absorbs them way more than any human sorry about the rant it just bugs me that no else points these flaws out.
They killed batman....bc we all know a vampire batman would've ended it.
Or be the main character to save them all 😆

Never understood the fascination with zombified or vampiric turning superheroes and villains. Literally the same characters with fangs or horde attacking others.
