It’s been in the mid to high 40’s here in SW Florida over the last few days and man that feels cold! No heated gear, but seeing your videos makes me want to pick one up for these chilly mornings.
Rode down to the St Petersburg bike fest from St. Augustine a few weeks ago. Left early with frost on the roofs, double gloves/socks/hand warmers in the toes of the boots, 5 layers up top, 3 layers below. The ride wasn't bad except for my hands getting cold. Heated gear would have been a game changer, especially since getting on and off the bike was a pain with all of the layers. Love the new channel!
I agree, and do the same. It was 24° in montana today, sucks. I ride in the cold, but when it's below freezing I put it away. This winter, I've added a bunch of titanium hardware to my bike. It's looking awesome!! Can't wait for spring
Yooo great videos! Yea I am down in burlington county so I feel your pain with the cold. I just got new cold weather gear. I didnt get a heated liner but I am gonna see how this new gear handles. The plan is always ride full year! Actually in the process of breaking in my 20204 S1k as well. The weather being in the 50s next week is gonna be nice. Gonna be on the bike all day. I will say the heated grips on this machine are so good. Keep pumping out more videos! Very nice to see videos done by a fellow Jersey rider.
Man i feel you there on the cold. Just picked up my 24' S1k M Spec with carbon wheels and the weather decides to dip in the 20s. its been rough taking my truck everywhere when i have that machine in my garage lmao.
Definitely. I got a nice 100 mile ride in today. I'm definitely a believer in heated gear. Like you, I ride all year. If the road is dry and 40 degrees and up I'll ride
I put my road bike away in the winters not because of the temps, but do to road treatment and conditions, this never improves until the roads get washed with spring rain. I agree, heated gear is the key to riding comfort in 40-50 degree temps... I ride off-road all year long, the thing with off-road is "temperature regulation"... Working hard on trails causes sweating, then if I have to ride a connector road in cold temps its like knifes stabbing into me if the air gets in at speed. My winter off road gear, is waterproof and vented, so I can let cold in at slow speeds and then close off any air flow when I have to go faster.
I’m in Staten Island, I rode yesterday in the 40 degree weather with my heated vest on. Real riders ride! ✌🏽 ride safe bro. One day we should ride together
Ironically, I do less riding at this time of year (late Nov through Feb), because it's summer here in Australia, and it's hot enough so I'm uncomfortable on the bike. Which sucks, because I just got a new bike! Winter is amazing for riding, though. Can't wait.
I hate cold weather bcuz I live in NJ but, I want to ride some days but my finger tips freaking froze the other night!! I have to get some gloves and a heated jacket…got my first bike kind of late in the season late October to be exact 😢
I live in AZ and ride all year round. The summers get brutal….112 degrees but I just go out earlier.if i couldn’t ride most every weekend, it would be an issue.
Dude, I am DONE with Winter once the new year arrives. I get all four seasons here in central Illinois. If Mother Nature is cooperative, I ride well into October and even select days in November. I don't mind the season change. I don't mind a little snow and/or cold weather but once January 1 rolls around, I'm DONE with it! I get crankier as Winter grinds on til Spring.
Don’t get a chance in the UK the weather totally sucks, dark outside of work hours and the weekend it’s generally cold and raining. Keep myself busy in the gym trying to stay fit for next riding season and browsing for parts online and vlogs on UA-cam.
Get the custom seat!!! I got one for my GSXR750 and it added 8 extra horsepower...well, it looks faster standing still. 👍 Pretty easy to install. Just need a good staple gun.
not to sound smart, I genuinely mean this: don't push the bike on the opposite side of the kickstand, drag that kickstand once and watch that thing drop. Ask me how I know. 🙃would hate to see that beautiful bike on its side.
@davemeshamsr6000 your very welcome. I have a ton of their stuff, both the 12v wired and the 7v battery gear. It all works great. I just ordered some more gear during their Christmas sale.
Another cool video Cycle Fanatix. I have the same size Supertech’s as you in 45 and have the same foot size. Typically 11.5. Does your Supertech’s have some extra room in the inner boot? I tried 45’s and 44’s and the 44’s were too tight on the toebox. Uncomfortable from just sitting there. Please let me know I’d appreciate your answer!

Right on!
I used to hate the cold but now I enjoy it, Texas summers suck to ride in lol

Riding is my therapy. All I do during the winter is look for parts and watch motovlogs
Haha same here

I know I’m a little antsy & tense when I don’t/can’t ride, especially at work.
Nice, thanks for sharing.
Between Toronto and Ottawa, 32 f and colder. We are expecting about 8" of snow tonight. Winter - YUCK!
The sound of a BMW S1000 - YESSS!
Time for a snowmobile?😮

Are you ever worried about salt on the aluminum and chrome parts?
MT10 is nice but I would picture a Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX/SX SE.as your Sport Touring bike.
I just get a heated jacket again
Do you get your bike tuned by a shop or handheld tune by brendtune ?
Bt moto hand held
Do you run a pin lock liner on your visor in the cold months or do you use other methods to stop fogging up, if so what are they?
I use the pin lock

So what heated liner do you use ? I think I missed what it is and the harness attached to the bike?
Gerbing. They've been making heated gear since the late 70's early 80's. The best, most proven heated gear out there.
@ thnx

Use a lavalier mic if you're in an echoing room. 😊
Yes I do 😢
What about tires in cold weather, do you feel lose grips?
he got new tires. You can't ride on the summer compounds that come stock. Too dangerous
Honestly, they feel pretty good
YES to that title 😤😤😤
Hell yea
100%

Yes. But More Depressed!! When a Deer crashes Ur car out. And it’s totaled Now. No car! May have to sell the bike. Ah! Second depression
That sucks, Jim. Wish you the best bro.
