I am getting a Himalayan 450 in the spring. It will definitely get doubletake mirrors. I have also heard that Royal Enfield's touring mirrors are good. The bike you are riding has the upgraded touring seat. WRS makes a windshield that is much taller, and wider than the RE tall windshield. Acerbis is making a 25L, 6.6 gallon fuel tank for the Himi 450, but it isn't out quite yet. It will be good for 450 to 500 miles though. As to reliability, all of their recent engines so far, have been dead nuts reliable. Fuzzy Biker has had his Himalayan for about 12 weeks now, and has put 17,000 trouble free miles on it. Mostly highway. In case you are not aware, there is a channel called Greatmotorcycleroads. They are working on creating episodes highlighting some of the best motorcycle roads in all 50 states. No Jersey yet, but they will make one. I think they have shown a few routes in Jersey on some of their other series. If you get a Himalayan 450 I would certainly be interested in your adventure rides.
i have the 411 and absolutely love it for my purpose. I take it off road, single track and don't worry one bit about beating it up. This new version is nice and has more pep for sure but not enough for me to upgrade as my 411 is all suited up and perfect for me needs. And the 411 is SO reliable. cool review and a great bike for the price
Are you wondering why this motorcycle doesn't have cruise control? Have you seen that it is made for the Indian market and there is no option to use cruise control there? It's like asking why the Suzuki Hayabusa didn't have a 21-inch wheel at the front. Because, for example, riding on off-road roads suits you. If you need a motorcycle for long highway trips, buy a touring motorcycle. It's simple ;-)
The himalayan 450 and the cfmoto 450mt are the 2 best bang for buck mid sized adv bikes right now hands down. For the $$ and what you get you just can't beat either of them.
All these 450 ADV bikes and DS bikes, lump in the KLR650, have similar power to weight ratio. Under ideal conditions expect to top out at 90-95 mph. Loaded, uphill, headwind, expect 85 mph. If you need more and/or do a lot of highway, get a twin in the 650-800 class. Twins will take you to 100-120 mph. They will also be way more relaxed at 80-85 cruising for long periods even with a load, uphill, headwind.
Locomotion has some of the Best Sales & Service Staff in the North Jersey Area. The Sales Manager Frank, will always give you a good Common Sense Deal. This is where I Bought my 2023 Rocket-3R, and my 2024 Tiger-900GT-Pro. 💯👍
I couldn’t agree with you more on the cruise control. I went looking at a brand new Harley the other day but no cruise control on it so I didn’t get it.
Pretty good review, about the front brakes i heard that they kept the bite on the lower side for offroad riding and that's why the rear brakes have way more bite. Also i think they left cruise control cuz they wanna keep something for future models maybe. I am currently saving for my first car, and after that i have my eyes on the new BMW 450GS, the new RE Bear and this Himalayan( might decide based on my riding priority at that time). Was lovely to hear about it from a Sports bike enthusiast, hope you buy it and keep us posted in the future... Bye and safe riding.
Sean a guy buy a little plastic gadget on line costs 3 dollars you clip it on your ecelarstor work it with your thumb it gives your hand a rest it’s a sort of manual cruise control ,iv got one on mine I live in Australia and have done hundreds of klm on dirt roads so far no problems ,I don’t think you can beat this bike for the price and reliability it’s a single thumper ,it’s not a dirt bike or a sports bike ,but it dose every thing it says on the tin ,jimmy WA 👍😎,it’s not about the destination it’s about the journey
You’re not thinking the validation and certifications for a manufacturer to install cruise control. It’s not the cost of the parts. Big money and most people do not want it.
@@cyclefanatixsport Hi there, I m Ben, i ride 40-50'000km per year and I do not want cruise control. I have had cruise control on some of my previous bikes and i do not miss it, i also rarely used it.
Would not touch anything with tubed tires, it is a pain in the A**** when you have a flat, not to mention dangerous if it happens at speed, my two cents, ton of adventures videos out there, go camping light on the S1000RR is the real content differentiator.... people traveled the world on GXRs/// this adventure fashion... yes... if you do hard core staff... but just for camping ... do it on the BMW like a boss... no need to pack the all house, end you can do couple of miles on gravel with any bike

H450 has a best showa suspension. It is far better than bigger segment adv bikes
You going over that bridge told me everything I needed to know. Your voice never broke from the bump so I could have stopped the video there.

Wow, great bike for the money! Looks good. Good review 👍
For the price, that’s a great bike.

Appreciate the input, but I have never met or talked to a person that said they do not want cruise control

The only people who think they don’t want cruise control are the people that haven’t had it on a bike yet…. Game changer to the level of necessity.
I use my cruise control sometimes as my throttle! High priority on my bike.
Get you a ride in to the Poconos on one before it snows. 👍👍👍
I bought my street triple from this dealer. This is a nice place but a bit pricy for their service department.
BMW is suppose to be releasing a F450GS in the spring. The bike looks sharp! You have any insight on that?
Not yet I did see a couple videos about it and it looks really cool
Nice review thanks but there is no traction control.
Very impressive
Maks speed on a new/demo bike ??
Yes ! It is heavy enough 😅

They have 2 models of the 450 that come with tubeless and should be able to add to any of them in the near future
There is a tubeless version too
Holy word salad, Batman!
