This is a very nice video, probably cost a lot of money to make. It’s folksy and home spun, but make no mistake Diamond of California is a big company making big profits. I recently bought a bag of their Pine nuts to put in my pesto. Immediately after eating, I discovered a foul metallic taste in my mouth (imagine having a mouthful of pennies). I’ve had it once before from pine nuts that I bought at Trader Joes - that has now included a warning on the package. It’s called pine mouth syndrome and comes from nuts imported from China. So when I bought the package from Diamond of California, I thought they were safe, but on further inspection of the package, there in small print was, “a Product of China”. After six weeks, I still have a foul taste. I wrote to the company, but they never replied. I don’t want anything from them -- maybe a warning label on the package or have them change their name to Diamond of California and China.
